Temp’s Top 25 (After Week 7)
Bash Riprock replied to temptation's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
??? Carmel hasn't made it out of a sectional the past 4 years. Last semistate apperance was 2019, when they won it all. Feels like you are just looking for excuses. You're big into this transitive property stuff huh? "Well if Team A beat Team B 2nd game of the season, then Team C beats Team A last week after losing to Team B 3 weeks ago, therefore Team C must still be the best...." -

Agree....nothing like learning with experience...sometimes watching film just doesn't cut it. What doesn't kill you makes your stronger. But giving the Irish full credit...executed an outstanding defensive game plan. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap, take your lumps, and store it away for another day. -
that's a fair point and why I asked, as I have no clue. I started asking myself if I were on a business trip for my company and during an evening got myself in trouble, does my employer share any responsibility? Probably not, but not sure. They sure have deeper pockets and an image to protect.

Looks like now the charges have been upgraded to felony charges https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/breaking-news/article/mark-sanchez-now-faces-felony-battery-charge-could-see-jail-time-after-stabbing-incident-in-indianapolis-152823534.html https://www.indystar.com/story/news/crime/2025/10/06/indianapolis-crime-mark-sanchez-stabbing-case-police-prosecutor-discuss/86545387007/ https://abcnews.go.com/US/mark-sanchez-felony-battery-indianapolis/story?id=126246595#:~:text=Sanchez was arrested at the,Please check back for updates.

not sure what responsibility Fox has as his employer as he was in town for company business to serve as an analyst for the Sunday Colts/Raiders game. No attempt to spin anything...just curious as an employer and he's in town for work, would they possibly share any accountability with the behavior of their employees?

Pictures of the 69 year old man after altercation with Sanchez in the hospital. Those facial injuries are rough... https://nypost.com/2025/10/05/sports/truck-driver-allegedly-bashed-by-mark-sanchez-pictured-in-hospital-with-bloody-injuries-after-stabbing-ex-jets-qb/

Updated video from ABC....Question for Bob....assuming Sanchez is found guilty/pleads guilty, does the 69 year old worker have a possible civil case against him? Fox Sports? https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/News/video/nfl-quarterback-mark-sanchez-arrested-after-stabbing-incident-126245049 Witness statement

which was their one and only loss, correct? PSU has 2 now. Had ND lost another after NIU, I don't think they would have made it. PSU would now need to run the table impressively to have a shot.

Sanchez attacked a 69 year old man who was on the job? https://fox59.com/news/indycrime/former-nfl-qb-mark-sanchez-charged-after-surveillance-video-shows-alleged-fight-in-downtown-indy-alley/ Sanchez faces misdemeanor criminal charges of Battery Resulting in Injury, Public Intoxication, and Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle for his alleged role in the altercation. According to newly released court documents, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were called to Loughmiller’s Pub and Eatery on West Washington Street around 12:35 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Sanchez suffering from several stab wounds to his upper torso. A second man was found in a nearby alley with cuts to his face. This 69-year-old man was working between the Westin Hotel and the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, collecting used cooking oil as part of his job. Video shows the men circling the truck before a struggle broke out near a large dumpster. Detectives say Sanchez threw the victim toward the dumpster, and the two fought between the truck and the wall. The 69-year-old told police he used pepper spray to defend himself, but when Sanchez continued advancing, he thought “this guy is trying to kill me” and pulled out a knife and stabbed Sanchez several times in self-defense. According to the court documents, video gathered from the nearby Marriott hotel “closely matches” the victim’s account.

CG relying on very young backs, with a young QB. Not sure how much they could adjust last night. Cathedral wisely sending more than the OL could pick up. Not sure young backs could recognize and pick it up or had confidence they could become safety valves for the QB to dump it off. Also not sure what a young QB can recognize at this point. Lots to work on in practice. Great D plan by the Irish. -

Trojans don’t have that many backs on varsity as well. They are pulling up from their JV. Youth being forced to step up. -

Corn fed south side lads? Hats off to the Irish for executing a very good game plan. CG after losing of 2 of their top offensive players for the season cannot afford lots of penalties and turnovers and expect to win. Good lesson for a team with a young QB. Get that out of the system now, learn and move forward. Coach Moore and staff will use this experience and get the Trojans back on track. -

Tried and True Ale House is a good spot and about 2-3 miles from the high school. https://www.triedandtruealehouse.com/ South of the high school in downtown Bargersville is the original Taxman Brewing Company...microbrew...Belgium beer specialty (about 4 miles away) https://www.taxmanbrewing.com/ If coming from further south, consider The Crow Bar in Trafalgar....about 10 miles away or so https://crowbar.pub/ Hope that helps Rodney....Bruburger Bar is also close to Tried and True -

Week 6 Takeaways
Bash Riprock replied to temptation's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
if a team stops the run and holds them to a total of 15 yds.....if a team rushes for over 300 yds, they weren't outhit. Sure...if the front 7 is getting beat, forcing safeties to come up on the fly and assuming they can tackle, pads will make a sound. No argument Carroll secondary could hit. But overall, the team that got dominated with the run and could not run was NOT the more physical team. What you are saying make no sense. CG has a number of guys on the OL going to be playing at the next level....they are not getting there on "precision" alone. That is why I commented that your post lacked likes...its makes no sense. -

You said more than that....I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt by thinking you are just forgetful. You asked why you got no "likes" on your comment....I simply responded because your posts were silly about only being able to gain insight of a game in the stands vs TV, and that Carroll "outhit" CG. My challenge (and you've yet to answer) is how can a team "outhit" another by giving up 500+ yds of total offense, 300+ yds of rushing, and they themselves have 15 total rushing yds? Those stats alone confirm who won the LOS on both sides of the ball, and that the front 7 of Carroll was pushed around. The Carroll safeties did land some hits.....they had no other choice. But hey, I am seeing that logic doesn't land.....moving on. -

Week 6 Takeaways
Bash Riprock replied to temptation's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Can you read? Complimented the passing game. Stated your rushing game stunk. Congrats on punt return yardage. The point is Carroll couldn't run the ball and and couldn't stop the run, but somehow the harder hitting team.....you sure have a graph of the game. You were also wrong about the score...no ties in the second half....but love your logic....you are the "expert" because you were in the stands. I guess one does embellish when looking for moral victories.....bet you always catch the biggest fish when out on a fishing trip with your pals too -

Back at ya "Mr. Watching on TV Doesn't Count".....Box score does not back up your claim that is was 21-17 midway through Q3, unless MaxPreps is wrong Game was tied in the first half.....great moral victory... Regardless of the stats below, "Carroll "outhit" the Trojans.....🤪 Total yds, rushing yds, sacks, etc does not back up that claim. Carroll better passing attack...absolutely. Kudos to the QB and the ability for the OL to retreat backwards and pass block....except for the 5 sacks Carroll QB had a great game....Carroll running game non-existent...15 total rushing yds. One dimensional. CG 5 sacks to 1 -
I didn't realize until reading yesterday that on the bomb TD pass the Colts gave up at the end that was the deciding points, that the D only had 10 men on the field. A corner fell down, thus playing with 9 and ball game. How does that happen with the pros???

Week 6 Takeaways

Because CG led the entire game and exposed its will in the 4th quarter. (you credited Carroll for hanging in there for almost 3 quarters) Because you said the Carroll defense out hit CG, while giving up over 500 yds of total offense and over 300 yds rushing. (that's being manhandled) Because you said the only way to really see the game was in the stands and TV viewers didn't count. Silly comments, that's why. -

Should be a good game this friday in Center Grove for the annual Trojan and Irish matchup. (annual at least recent history) Both teams so far only two teams to beat Ohio's Trotwood Madison this season. Its homecoming at CG.
