  1. I don’t think so. I don’t know what happened but I don’t recall seeing it.
  2. Coach Hart is one of the best young coaches around and he is a helluva QB guru too.
  3. I saw that they won the consolation championship for the tournament you must have been at. 4-2 yesterday in pool play, lost the first game today but rallied together and put together a few wins. I’m not around the team anymore but I get the feeling this group will be one that has to battle through adversity and not make mistakes more than what they have had in the past
  4. Completely fair. And I probably am often on the critical side of him just to be contrarian. I also just want to see good content. I liked the HHF content and I’m not exactly sure why it changed names or whatever happened but you’re right….it’s content in the dead of the offseason and I’m finding a thing to complain about
  5. @temptationmaybe I deserve that downvote (I probably do) but honestly it’s with good intentions. I’ll click on Mr. DTs content and gladly read and have public discourse about the topics…whether we agree or not. it would just be better for all involved if we just had a direct link to the topic. if I posted a topic that was on fox news or cnn or whatever news you watch….you would want the link directly to the article and not for me to just give you cnndotcom or foxnewsdotcom and for you to find the link on that page ya know?
  6. I know this probably isn’t going to be a popular opinion…. but like schools don’t own any of these kids and these kids and families don’t owe a damn thing back. They should be able to play anywhere they want for any reason. coaches shouldn’t be having conversations with kids on other teams granted…but like….IM SO TIRED OF READING ABOUT RECRUITING AND TRANSFERS LIKE THESE FAMILIES OWE YOUR SCHOOL/TEAM SOMETHING. Families pay taxes to support these schools, volunteer so much time to these schools and not just for sports……they are legally obligated to send their child to a school and yet time and time again people cry foul or say whatever about these kids like they own them and the rights to them playing. Stop that. They are not your kids and they should be able to make decisions about their own futures on their own with their own families. Instead it’s always a looming cloud of the IHSAA and Internet personalities trying to influence what these kids do….and both have been incredibly inconsistent in their stances on the subject for years. again I know this probably won’t be popular but I really don’t care. This isn’t even about any particular team or kids…nobody owes your team or school anything some of these coaches/schools/fans spend more time trying to control kids than they do trying to make their school the best option for these kids….nobody actually cares about the best interest of the kids…they care about the best interest of their school and trophies in their halls
  7. Can you just directly link to the original comments? this is pretty much just click bait man. Like you post a generic coach speak response to something that seems like drama…and then you link to the entire page to make everyone scroll to find it speaking generally….social media and online content is all about a retention rate…and if you don’t have the audience engaged with what they are looking for in 30 seconds, you lost them. I’m not trying to be that guy either with you….just figure if you are going to push the content, at least streamline the process and make it a better product.
  8. We gotta see what we have first haha. It’s been easy the last 4 years when you can say something like “we have the best QB in the state” and at worst it’s a minor debate.
  9. I just don’t know how Lawrenceburg is that high. Didn’t they lose probably more than anyone this last year of these 10 teams? top 3 makes sense to me though
  10. Just my opinion….team camps hosted by colleges are a waste of time and energy imo it’s a few days or running around and practicing pretty much just fundamentals with a few scrimmages in between. Very short individual sessions for each position over the camp….and the college coaches kinda float around and give quick pep talks and not much else. they feel more like a publicity stunt from college programs than actual camps. again it’s just my opinion but i definitely am in favor of scrimmaging teams in your area over being 1 of 20 hs teams at a college over the summer for a few days running around with your head cut off trying to make the most of the time
  11. But we are not espn or reporters….we are just adults who follow high school sports. and only about 5-10 in the entire state of Indiana will have the possibility for that type of media coverage. Last year was one of the deepest classes indiana has produced and I believe there were 8 consensus 4star recruits like I said…just use caution. It’s just the unwritten rules of this forum. regarding the middle school rankings….those rankings are largely just money grab services that get parents of middle schoolers to pay money for a regional camp. The only people who are looking at middle school rankings are friends/family/community of a kid who is on the list. These services are often ones that have like 10k followers on Twitter and just retweet news of a kid with their own graphics. to put it into perspective….rivals and 24/7 (the two leading recruiting sites) often don’t even have more than a handful of freshman ranked….sophomores would be only 5stars/some 4stars….and then finally during their junior years and into their senior years….at this point is when you will start to see these sites actually listing more kids from a state. to use a false equivalency when there is plenty of precedent on this forum and outside of this forum…now that is weird.
  12. Yeahhhh but we usually don’t mention player names explicitly unless it’s talking about a crazy game/season they are having. its kinda just that these are 14-18 year old kids mostly. Better to just use their number when talking about them for the most part. i don’t have any kids on any of these teams but some of the people on here do and they may not want you talking about their kid even if you have good intentions. Just best to use caution when using their full names
  13. Um….not to be rude….but why are you compiling a list of peoples kids? And why are you asking for more names to just be openly dropped?
  14. I say use the young fella. thinking back to 2013….GS fielded like 7 or 8 sophomores and they showed up and went 13-1. Everyone knew the 2015 class was special and starting them early paid off. I think 3 of the kids started as freshman in 2012 in various roles like long snapper too. point is…we often think they are not ready and that the upperclassmen are better….but if the talent is there….6 weeks in to the season the underclassmen will probably be caught up from tough games. Then the next 2 years you should have a great core that only is improving
  15. I’m not the coach and I do not make the decisions nor should my opinion have any weight…..but from my understanding doesn’t HH have a phenomenal younger class coming up for 2024/2025? Imo it would make more sense to start the younger guy now if the battle is that close already. By the time he is a senior he would likely be up there with the likes of Sigler and other great HH players and help lead them to a possible LOS trip.
  16. That’s kinda my point….families who spend money for their kids to go to school….often have kids more invested in that school. You can’t hold it against private schools just because they see higher involvement from their students. my point is more that every coach at a public school sees plenty of kids every day that they wish would play for them. Doesn’t even have to be football.
  17. Part of this is getting kids to play Teams that are fielding smaller OLs most definitely have some very big kids walking the hallway not playing football. For probably every 50 males at a high school 2 of them are probably over 6’3….if you go with a slightly smaller but still big at 6’1/240 and above I’d bet there is probably 5 per every 50 males. on a very familiar note….Gibson Southern has typically fielded very big OLs. I think the average over the last 10 years has been around 6’3 260 LBs. Always 2 or 3 6’3+ guys and then the center is usually like 5’11 6’….there are bigger kids walking the halls who don’t play. Probably 3-5 among the 700 students who are in the 6’4+ 275lbs+ range and either do something else or don’t play sports. every school has big kids…all of them. Unless they are a unicorn prospect like K Goodwin who stands at 6’8 330 LBs or something crazy like that….there is really no point in saying “look at how big the OL is for ______ compared to everyone else”…..everyone has big kids who would make great OL/DL if they played
  18. The more I follow ncaaf recruiting the more I realize it’s largely about camps and exposure. and with those camps the players get great coaching and rep against other good players. it should come as no surprise that the same families that send their kids to private schools can also send their kids to camps and make those types of time commitments and this leads to better development of skillsets. for the most part….every good team in the state and then plenty of others have kids who are 6’3+ 250Lbs+ So I don’t think touting the size of these kids means anything especially if it’s meant to act like team recruit….every school has kids with prototypical size…..most of it just comes down to which of those families can make the extra commitments and then of those which of those kids actually put in the work and make the most of those opportunities. Especially with lineman….most of them already have the size….it’s about technique and football IQ that comes from coaching.
  19. Still think it’s a good idea considering the conversations are often between 5 or so conferences….but like you said the other day…..southern indiana dominates the football talk here lol.
  20. @DTwe already had a PAC discussion thread with plenty of conversation. nice of you to start the conversation for all the conferences but some of them were already established
  21. Barely That was sarcasm before you turn that into a random unprovoked debate
  22. When you don’t want to admit that you’re wrong…………………………….. (more periods for extra emphasis)………
  23. God that joke went over your head. i live in Green Bay and am a huge packer fan. I take jabs at anything regarding the bears as much as possible. i wasn’t talking about Lawrence central 😂
  24. If I commented it had to have been a few years back when they had the really good QB and WR combo or something but other than that I couldn’t tell you a damn thing about them lmao
