Where do you see this ihsaa document of 2022-2024 enrollments is unavailable to me for some reason (idk maybe they took down the pdf file) but the last enrollment number I have found is about 535.

Still crazy to me that SR is staying in 3A but Mater Dei is in 2A

I have no intentions to watch it. i just don’t understand why they keep trying these sub-NFL leagues. The interest is minimum. They all struggle financially….and I have to think most people know it’s going to fail….yet hey somehow raise money for it part of what makes football great imo is that we have limited access to it. For 6 months we get football as entertainment basically 2 days a week….and then it’s over and we have to wait 6 months for it again. It both creates a scarcity and let’s you get a break from the sport. By the time summer is coming to an end, people are just itching to watch some football. it’s a really good system to retain fans without burning them out and it becomes an annual routine in peoples minds. All these sub-nfl leagues just don’t understand that apparently. People want a break from things and they like exclusivity.

Met Brakie when he was a freshman and I was a senior in HS….and thinking back on it now….it’s funny that he is at North with Coach Paridaen and what I remember of him reminds me of Coach P.

Probably worked out better for them actually. Mt Carmel just keeps losing people/business and is becoming a ghost of its former self. The fact that they were competitive with Jasper all these years is a credit to the heart and tradition of that program

Kinda crazy how just the rumor of Illinois moving to a district playoff situation caused all of this. no rumors of districts would mean Mt. Carmel wouldn’t have had to leave….which then set off the Big 8 disbanding….which led to the new PAC and new SIAC….which brings us to today.

The longer this goes on the more I think there should just be a committee among the IFCA where they decide where teams are placed. Southridge is one of many schools that are successful but don’t necessarily need to be playing up…and I’m certain many coaches would agree. let the coaches discuss with each other and determine where teams should be. on this note….one thing that has really stuck out to me since the success factor was implemented…..Mater Dei has stayed in 2A this entire time. Not trying to stir the pot with the MD fans….just that they have an excellent program and have had it for a long time with tons of success. They are on the same level as Gibson Southern and Evansville Memorial and would have been a very tough out in sectional 32 at the 3A level. just seems like the success factor could use some actual input from people…mostly coaches and not just some simple math formula

Not at all lol every year I’m like “oh cathedral is playing for a state title? No surprise” this last year I was at LOS but the Gibson Southern vs Brebeuf game ran for probably 4 hours almost and I had a good drive to make and traffic to beat out of there.

I was today years old when I found out that Adam Vinatieri has a son…who is also a kicker….and he is graduating from Zionsville this year. maybe I missed it but seems like too big of a name to not be mentioned on this forum more often haha

Hiring a defensive coach as HC is a huge mistake. I get it I’m a packer fan and I’m going to hate on the hire no matter what…..but you have the lions in a full blown rebuild…the Vikings cleaned house and probably are going to move on from cousins and dalvin in the near future…..and the packers have the whole Rodgers/Adams situation with 40M over the cap….. and Justin fields is sitting there needing to be developed. y’all are wasting an opportunity and still clinging to 1985….one of 2 teams that has never had a 4000 yard passer.

Example of what I mean by a quick glance seeing the rankings This is Gunnar Stockton’s rankings. I believe he is the #1 QB in the class but that is just my opinion

I believe it’s a fairly new thing but it’s grown considerably….they have write ups and scouting things for a lot of players and their consensus rankings are evenly weighted between itself, espn, rivals, and 247….apparently 247 and rivals give their own rankings a lot more weight for their consensus. the interface for the site is nice too imo. The site can’t be more than 2 years old I would think…but it at least seems like there are people putting in a ton of work to make it better every day I personally am a fan of their consensus rankings knowing that they weigh their rankings equally with espn rivals and 247. 25% each and at a quick glance you can see how each ranks a particular player

It took some getting used to…I kinda prefer the AOC playing QB haha. The man doesn’t even bother with social media….just minds his own business…what’s not to like haha

Looks like Brady Allen is starting to get some bumps in the rankings department. On3 has him as QB4 of the class just short of 5 star status. ESPN moved him up from 17th to 10th and into the top 300 at 203. I imagine 247 and rivals will follow with a small bump of some sort…but still…Purdue recruited Brady when most rankings had him between 17th and 25th at the QB spot…and now he is firmly in the top 10. a small bummer he will sit behind AOC for a year but Purdue fans and coaches have to be happy seeing the rankings reflect their opinions

Ehhh…I won’t say no because that’s too black and white….but anyone who has played GS the last 4 years will have to start over on how to defend Coach Harts offense again now. sure a ton of phenomenal talent is graduating…but the next QB for GS is a true dual threat and the RB room is going to be strong. Probably will still pass it more than most teams…it’s just that there is a slim to none chance they will be throwing it over 300 times on the year or going with a 65/35 pass run ratio. offenses are designed around a teams strengths…and for 4 years the strength has been at the QB being able to put the ball wherever it needs to be while having a cannon for an arm. These next 2 years are probably going to be more about RPO/Read-Option Long story short….yes the team is going to be a clear step under the 2021 team…not a question….but the 2022 team is likely going to be a very different challenge to try and stop…

I love how I make a half tongue in cheek comment about country club sports and then only say the top teams of each conference are usually pretty close. immediately after I said this: mater Dei fans enter chat* “are you disrespecting us?
