  1. ….I live in my home state I even live in the same city I was born in. Less than a mile away from my birthplace lol
  2. Hot take…..more than half of the people in Indiana would be better served by leaving and going to another state. too many stay because of family and keep the BS factory job or whatever and live a very unhappy life. would be better if many people left and made it out on their own before deciding to move back and pour into the local communities. the state of Indiana is traitor to its own people in many cases and many of these young kids should go out and explore other areas to see what the rest of the US/World is like. Good on those that have left that state to make a name for themselves elsewhere
  3. This may ruffle feathers but I’m a firm believer Wood Memorial should be closed as a whole and move all the kids between princeton/pike central/gibson southern/ Tecumseh wood memorial doesn’t even have football anymore after that crap that they were doing with hazing and what not. Wood is like 15 miles from pike central….same distance to princeton. 20 miles to gibson southern but for some kids it might only be 15 miles still. Tecumseh is 11 miles away I mention this because numbers can always help and princeton and pike central could sure use them.
  4. Columbus north would be a fun one…at least on this forum lol Would get to read a bunch of comments by 6A fans about how great they are after they have spent so much time telling anyone who schedules them that they are not that good lol
  5. Mr football shouldn’t even consider what college a player may choose to play at. Not that it does anyways look at Micah Hauser. No stars 1 offer to Indiana state from the looks of it….and he is a finalist for the award. Don’t care if Curry and Allen are committed to B1G schools or not, his nomination and finalist position is because of what he did on Friday nights not where he will play on Saturdays
  6. Probably one of the biggest shocks in recruiting in a while. I can’t recall any other top 10 prospects committing to an FCS school…but hey you got the best to ever do it teaching you and you are guaranteed to start right away pretty much
  7. #1 player goes to Jackson state lol but for a DB….yeah if im #1 I would want Prime coaching me
  8. No attack felt. I love a good debate. your reasoning for the stat bump last year makes sense. don’t give me too much credit on this forum lol. I just bring up things I find interesting or reply to things I don’t agree with…or that I do agree with but I hate the logic someone uses to get to the right answer. the main reason I’m on here is to know who the future college studs are and to follow GS/3A football. 3A is pound for pound the most fun to follow and watch every year and compared to the football here in Wisconsin, I enjoy it a lot more. @Muda69would love HS football here in Wisconsin…lots of big ole lineman and lots of running the ball
  9. I’ll give you props for giving probably the best argument I have read on any of these threads for Curry. For once we have something about what Curry does specifically. ive watched the film and have seen these things…obviously not attending games live leaves some things out but you included them. and i get the whole interior DL thing…it’s just there is a difference between a guy like Vita Vea who is probably the #2 or #3 down defenseman in the nfl…and Aaron Donald. I know that vita vea is elite even if the stats don’t reflect it but know some guys still get those stats. back to the world of HS football…what I want to ask/bring up is how Curry had a more impressive JR season…at least statistically. I don’t feel like defenses changed a whole lot because Curry has been a priority for 3+ years to defend…but his impact seemed to be greater last year than this year. Obviously that might not be the case but the stats lend itself that way. regardless of any of this…I do appreciate an actual response to this topic and not a deflection to team accomplishments like 28-0 or whatever. Up until now I have felt that all the points being made were just generic window dressings or deflections.
  10. In news related to this topic and not the quarrels between us on the forum…. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2021/12/15/indiana-mr-football-finalist-2021/8837914002/ Curry Allen Hauser are the 3 finalists. No surprise at all
  11. I’m not trying to downplay Curry…I’m really not. But for the top award and for someone who many declare as the “best in state”….7 sacks and 0 forced fumbles isn’t going to cut it imo. Curry is still amazing…I am actually a big fan of him. I just don’t think he did enough to win the award this year…and honestly I am trying to just keep the argument peaceful. to be completely honest….it’s very irritating that i have repeatedly adjusted my arguments here to fit the criteria of the CG fans…and then in the end I just get labeled as a hater. Whether it was the SoS of the two players on their teams….the stats…the historical values of what they have accomplished…whatever….I have repeatedly adjusted my arguments and debates here to fit what CG fans value as being important…and the result is that I’m just labeled as someone who doesn’t like Curry when thats not the case at all. Many here want to do all these mental gymnastics for their argument….and I have adjusted to those….it is entirely possible to respect the crap out of a player and the talent they have AND recognize that someone else had a more impressive season and did more to win this award.
  12. You can miss me with that “I’m better than you” attitude. everyone has already read your 5 posts about how you’re so smart because you fully understand stats don’t mean anything and you have an acquired attention to detail on all things that don’t show up on paper. BTW, Curry blocking as a FB is good for the RBs not the QB so much. I’m terribly sorry that a person with such low football intellect has to inform you of this but I couldn’t possibly let you make a fool of yourself any more. I don’t mean to be a bother…I’m just so dumb and don’t know football and can only hope to be as wise as you one day.
  13. Im not trying to be rude but it would be best if you would actually read what I wrote and then respond…and not just respond. I very clearly stated in the comment you quoted that I have been using the GK3 film as a reference for Curry….yes I’ve watched Curry…I’ve been following him since he made top 50 as a sophomore (I’m not sure I’ve seen another sophomore do that). The problem though is Curry doesn’t have much open source film. Pretty much youtube and Twitter….but no hudl for whatever reason. Either way….yes is the answer to the question you didn’t even need to ask I think I was seeing somewhere…maybe Twitter…but someone has been pounding the table about this guy. I don’t really know a thing about him but that is impressive
  14. You’re right. Thanks for the correction for some reason I was thinking Brady never played Memorial in 3A. But now after your comment I’m remembering how 14news said after that memorial loss “this may be the last time Brady loses in high school”. it gave me a good laugh when I heard it….which brings up something not talked about a whole lot….and that’s Brady exceeding the Wild expectations everyone including myself put on him. From the moment we knew Brady was elite and he had won the starting job as a freshman just weeks before the season starting…..he was basically given the task of “Win a state title for Gibson Southern” among a bunch of other things. For a 15-18 year old to be given the expectation of a state championship from a community who had never had one in football….that’s a lot….every year we basically tasked him with leading the team to this goal….sure it’s a team sport…but everyone knew Brady was driving that bus. im not sure anyone else in the state was given those expectations…especially as young as being a freshman….but I’m sure glad he led the way to reaching that goal and overcame the insane expectations placed on him
  15. I highly recommend pulling up George Karlaftis’ HS tape. At least for me I have been going back and looking at the last elite monster DL/edge guy Indiana has produced. Similar measurables and all. It’s been a good reference for me
  16. Also for the record Brady was a 4 year starter. Only year he wasn’t the stand alone all conference QB was his freshman year where he was honorable mention to Sigler who led Heritage Hills to LOS 3 time All state QB for 3A 2 time Top 50 all state no it wasn’t the MIC but Brady has been elite all 4 years. Freshman year: 14th in passing yards, 11th in passing TDs Sophomore year: 8th in passing yards, 11th in passing TDs Junior year: 10th in passing yards, 11th in passing TDs Senior year: 1st in passing yards (By over 800 yards) 1st in passing TDs ( 14 more than 2nd)
  17. You can’t tell me to not compare apples and oranges and then sit here and ask why a QB isn’t playing defense or special teams. Curry was great getting those handoffs in the finals….but I’m not going to pretend that 16 carries all season (or whatever it was) is something to pound the table on. GK3 played a little TE and made a nice snag in the redzone during his state finals game. Nobody really cared. I think the rushing thing has been way overstated and people act like it carries a lot of weight when it really doesn’t
  18. Good fit for him and it’s a program that knows how to develop pass rushers to the extent of being great players on Sundays. Smart choice for both OSU and Curry
  19. Pardon me while I go look at every other DL stud in the country who has offers from the same caliber college programs….and lemme check back with you to see if they also didn’t show up on the stat sheets especially in the turnover department. All you are doing is refusing to call a spade for a spade and setting yourself up for a fallback if Curry does not win it. all this talk about best player….I think this year and the playoffs especially showed who the best player in the state was and it was Brady. im not operating off the assumption that “Curry is the best player just doesn’t have the stats”. I really don’t think he is the best player and that’s not to speak bad of him….but there are 9 other 4 star prospects in the state for this class the class is loaded and he isn’t some far and away better talent than everyone else
  20. Let’s compare him to Popeye Williams. played a very tough 6A schedule also had 7 sacks and no forced fumbles. Had 4 less TFLs. The only thing that separates Curry from PW is that Curry has more career success and awards but many of them are team based. His case in terms of a single season performance isn’t much different than PWs if it’s based on only the senior season, it’s probably hauser vs Allen if it involves the career, it’s Allen vs Curry.
  21. Phenomenal player and going to be a difference maker for whatever elite program he commits to….unfortunately when you have Brady Allen putting up the season he did and the way he did it….7 sacks and no forced fumbles is not going to cut it. That’s just the reality of it seriously…he is a phenomenal talent…but he wasn’t even top 5 in 6A for sacks and had 0 forced fumbles according to maxpreps. When the other top candidate put up arguably the best passing season in state history, you need the stats to make the argument
  22. Can we just talk about how that was probably the worst special teams performance I have ever seen if not for some lucky penalties the bears might have beat us with ST alone an absolute joke Game should have been 45-10
