Not only that, I understand that the back judge on that crew and the head coach at WEBO both have brown eyes, and the umpire shops at the same Krogers as the mother of the kid who was interfered with!

The implication you are trying so ham-handedly to foster is silly. You're embarrassing yourself.

Not sure Pelley has Brown Eyes.  Lol

I think Chatard wins this game, but it will be a physical one for sure.  3A can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Chatard will be gone for at least a couple years, maybe more!  Next will be re-alignment for the 3A tournament and Danville we go back north.  The south will be Tri-West and a PAC school in the semi state next year and so on and so on. (notice I didn't say which PAC school)

I also think that there will be 5 P/P schools that win the state title this year.  What a shame.......Surely I jest!!

I wouldn't guarantee that Danville goes North.  Webo will be 3A next year as well.  They may go North (basically I could see them replacing Chatard in that Sectional).  Danville may be borderline 4A enrollment (and if they win, they go 4A).  It will be very interesting to see the sectional alignments when they come out.

Worst part was that Mike Bohn set the single season rushing record that year ('93) at 3,165 while only playing in 40 quarters and facing 8 undefeated teams.  Roncalli went 14-0 and led the nation in rushing.  Bohn was robbed.

I remember watching him against Danville in Regionals in '93.  He was a stud.  Danville had a good team that year and got destroyed by that Roncalli team.

Not sure how u came to this conclusion.  Webo can’t throw the ball.  They’re oline is undersized.  This will be a pioneer repeat but worse.  Once webo gets down 10 they will try to throw the ball and it will quickly get ugly.  Luers wins by 28.

110 yards passing 204 yards rushing per game.  We have been told we are undersized all year.  We have been told we are going to get beat against Heritage Christian and Evansville Mater Dei.  We will show up and play.  The coaches will prepare the kids for BL and the kids will show up Friday morning and work their tails off for a 3rd Straight Blue Ring.  I fully expect to get BL's best shot.  Should be a good game... I don't think either team wins by 28 though.

You just have to tell your children to pick the right 2 years to be good at sports. (WEBO) Could have won 2 consecutive state championships and stayed in 2A (with a regional loss this year). I am fine with the 6 point SF rule, but why not just make a running tally of any consecutive 2 years? Is it too much work to do reclassifications every year?

I'm not sure what Southridge being in 3A has to do with WEBO being in 2A or 3A. If you are referring to the one time we played them in the 2018 Semi-State game, that is a horrible assessment. Fact of the matter is, WEBO should have been in 3A this year if the real end goal is to "Level the playing field". Starting over every 2 years is a joke.

Got it... Thanks for your "Hot Take" of the hour.
And for your information, I'm sure this 2020 Southridge would welcome the idea to play this 2020 WEBO team regardless of class.

It was 2 years ago...  Webo didn't select when to win the 2 championships (they try to win every game) and Webo didn't set the guidelines of the succes factor. You won a Regional and a State title and got bumped.  The exact same thing is happening to us now.  IF we lose this weekend or next weekend, I am not (and I seriously doubt any other Webo Fan) going to troll every post about Mater Dei/Pioneer/Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers.  It is what it is, and we will move on and regroup for 3A next year.  You should focus your attention on Danville.  Lots of similarities between 2018 Webo and 2020 Danville.

Best of luck on Friday evening.

Back to back state championships wasn't enough to bump them up. But by gosh, that regional sure did!

Contrast that to Scecina's bump up for losing in LOS back to back years.  I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but geez the two year cycle is way too short.

Because the Championships bracketed a the 2 year cycle.  I don't necessarily agree with the cycle.  basically you have Freshman that will be Jr. paying for the classes that came before them for being good.  Idk, Webo may have had to move up anyway because of enrollment (I honestly don't know) but it feels a bit ridiculous to punish Sophomores/Freshman/8th Graders/7th graders for what classes above them have done.  I know that doing sectional realignements every year is difficult as well.

    b. Upon the conclusion of a Two (2) year reclassification and realignment cycle, Schools in Classes below the largest enrollment Class in a specific sport achieving Six (6) points or greater due to tournament series success shall move up to the next largest enrollment classification for the next Two (2) year reclassification and realignment cycle.

Coaches can win games, but players win championships... Coach Goebel has cobbled together a successful season from what at the beginning of the season looked like a wash of a season. That's what HoF coaches do though and I believe Coach Goebel is easily one of the Top 10 coaches statewide over the past two decades... I believe polling to IFCA would support that.

That being said "Jimmies and Joes, Not Xs and Os" ... "Players Win Championships" ...

I'm not sure Mater Dei has the horses of to reach the finish line first, but I know the Wildcats will scratch and claw the whole way.

First possessions should tell us a lot!

Sounds a lot like Webo.  With what Webo graduated the last 2 years we had a lot of young kids playing and I am not sure anyone expected them to get to Semi State.  Started the season 1-3 and won 8 of the next 9 (only loss was to Danville who is playing 3A Semi State).  I think the Coaches have put these kids in position to win both Sectionals and Regionals.  You are right, though.  The players have to perform.

  9. Danville HC was the former offensive coordinator at Western Boone.  And I hope Southridge has more than one DB.  Danville has several weapons out wide and a really good running game.  Think Western Boone in 2018 except I think Danville is bigger than Webo was in 18.  The reference of 2018 isn't a shot at Southridge either.  The teams are very comparable to one another.  Danville's QB is an athlete and can spin it several different weapons and 2 different running backs that are different type runners, but both are pretty good.  Defensively, Danville is solid as well.

Did a Google search and came up with this.  If this is accurate, that Southridge game started at 2:00 (EST).

    https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/high-school/2018/11/16/tucker-scjank-rounds-into-form-southridge-roll/2016114002/

"The No. 10 Raiders (10-3) will play at No. 1 Western Boone (13-0) at 1 p.m. CST on Saturday."

I believe the Southridge complaint was the field though and not the time.  That was the year before Western Boone installed field turf and some here did not like having to play on a grass field in November one bit.

An hour difference in the time In 2018 vs what was discussed above.

And I believe it rained the night before or early that morning... both teams played on the same field...
