When Lawrenceburg played at Memorial on Saturday in 2017 Regional the start was 5pm EST. When we played Danville the following week at their place on Saturday for Semi-State it was a 5pm start. It isn’t a hard concept.
Again, there are other sports going on at the school. Rescheduling a 4 team basketball tournament would be a little more complex than trying to find a day/time that works for everyone for this game. Thats all this is... I am sure no matter the day/time someone wouldnt be happy. I would assume thats why Webo asked for an early afternoon start on a Saturday because of the basketball tourney. Its my understanding the visiting team requests the day and they work together for the time....

If true and home teams are allowed to pull this crap regarding naming these early start times for Saturday games, then the IHSAA needs to intervene.
It’s total BS. None of these long distance Saturday games should ever be before 3:00 unless both schools agree.
It should already be enough that the home team is...well.....at home.
Makes me think this whole neutral site thing for Regionals and Semistates might be the way to go.
I know that there is a Girls BBall tournament this coming weekend which may be why Webo asked for a 1:00 pm Eastern Time (Noon Central). We played Southridge 2 years ago at Semi State at the same time I believe. I wont pretend to have any other insight as to what the coaches/ADs have discussed.
I dont believe there is any intent of “gamesmanship” or trying to be “unsportsman like”.

Sagarin & Harrel's both had Heritage Christian as the favorite over WeBo and that did not turn out so well. While it is nice to be favored, MD will have to earn this on the field. I tried to view some of the film from last night's game btwn WeBo & HR but internet is wonky today. WeBo stats show a strong running game and stout D. MD will certainly have it's hands full this week. I will wait a few days to see likely weather & game time before concocting some Wildcat Homer-ish argument to justify why I think MD will win. Fingers crossed, rabbit's foot in hand...
Friday Night @ 7:30 eastern. Looks like really good weather (60ish as a high) safe travels to the MD faithful making the trip

My initial thought is I hope the weather is nothing like the last time MD came to Webo field back in 1997... Temps in low 20's, 20+ mph winds, blowing across the field... BITTER cold.🥶
For those of us who will not be able to get a ticket to the games, does Webo typically have a live stream available for home games?
Yes, we live stream. I am sure it will be via IHSAATV.org. Webo TV has a Youtube channel also which is where we have broadcast from in the past

The Mercy Rule remains in effect at all levels except the Finals.
Bobref, we were told it stops after Sectionals. We should have had a running clock in Regionals last year and were told it ended after Sectionals.

What about a waiver granting play on Sunday as well? Playing 3 games in 1 day and trying to either get fans out, sanitize locker rooms/seats, and then the next game starting 3 hours later would be extremely difficult. Wouldn't it make sense to do 2 games a day for 3 days?
EDIT: The Colts have a home game on Sunday... So scratch all of the above.

My dad played at Seeger in the early 60s. When we played there in 2004, ran into a guy that worked the chains when he played. Still like to see the Patriots do well, but I won't go against a WeBo team with a Weakley on the roster.
They are good people.

For my former favorite team, a 1-point win is handily. I have a hard time digesting what they're doing there now. It ain't what it used to be.
WeBo is a well coached and prepared football team. With 2A south not looking really dominant, they could make a run to semistate if they play well. I also feel that if they don't play very well or make some mistakes that Seeger could knock them off. There are ghosts out there in those fields around West Lebanon. Just be careful regarding any receivers running along the back line of the end zone!
You are absolutely correct. If we don't show up (like we did against Tri-West), if we make mistakes (like we did against Danville), then Seeger could knock us off.. There is always that chance. It should be a good game. I feel our schedule has prepared us to play teams like Seeger.
My wife's family still lives in Warren County. LOL. I have heard this story from a Webo Coach that was there that night with several Sheridan (and former Sheridan) folks. I have heard about the Cook catch several times.

Hey @speaglefan do you have any tickets to scalp for Friday night? I heard that PH will be limited to 300. I assume they will go to players/cheerleaders first. Since I have neither I may have to sneak in from the back field. Lol
Webo/Seeger is 250 each. Players/Cheerleaders (families) are getting first crack at the tickets.

Analysis, ok, I will give analysis. South Putnams will have no answer for Johnson to Johnson, or Johnson to Wood, or Johnson to any Wolf receiver for that matter. The Wolfs will score quickly and on every possession. They say South Putnams likes to run. So South Putnams will grind it out and move the ball against the smaller Wolfs. It will come down to if they turn it over or get stopped. If any scenario like that happens 2 or 3 times the Wolfs will win comfortably. There is your damn analysis.
I wouldn't bet against South Put. They opened some eyes with a win over 2A #5 Heritage Christian as Donnie pointed out (I swear to God he did). Should be as interesting as a date with Angel Skinners.

Everyone is so touchy these days. It must be this election thing or Covid or just some thin-skinned folks who just can't take things with a grain of salt. In the immortal words of Sgt. Hulka - "lighten up Francis".
Back in the day, we didn't think a couple personal fouls were a bad thing. Kinda put the other team on their heels and looking over their shoulders. One late hit on a QB might make him get rid of the ball a little quicker the next time he throws.
WeBo's 7 wins were against teams with a combined 22-46 record. Seeger's opponents were 23-47. I feel this should be a competitive game and either team has a shot. Seeger does have the advantage of playing in beautiful West Lebanon. Funny thing, isn't Western Boone considered west Lebanon? Hmmm.......
LOL. NO WAY...
Also, Webo hung with Danville (4 turnovers will do you in, 2 in the RZ). We hung with Western (who we had opportunities to beat). The Webo team has grown up a lot over the last 6 weeks. It should be an interesting game.

I know WeBo is young, but they were beaten pretty handily by Sheridan, who Seeger knocked off late in the year. I don't think the Stars are the same team they were the past two years. I know they have improved as the season has gone on, and I know they play a much more challenging schedule, but I do think the Patriots have a shot to win.
The Legend that is Ballhawk! Webo lost 21-20. That wasn't handily. There have been several changes on both sides of the ball since Week 1. Should be a good game.

If this was just 1 girls bball game, I think it would probably be rescheduled. But its a tournament and I am sure our Athletic Dept would find it difficult to be at both and I am sure our student athletes would like to be at both. Again, I wont pretend to know everything that goes on during these conversations.
Im not against Neutral sites, except I think it takes away money from the schools/towns that are still in the tournament (concessions/restaurants, etc. would assume gate fees to be split anyway?)... They do this for basketball (neutral sites).... This comes up every year (almost as much as DT wanting P/P bumped). Its not like Webo (or any hosting school) did anything special or cheated to get home field at Regionals or Semi State. Its the luck of the draw and the way the brackets played out. Webo had been on the Road for 3/4 current playoff games now. It sucks that MD has a 3 hour drive on a Friday afternoon. They could have had the same drive Saturday morning but chose Friday instead afternoon.
Good points.... Basketball has Locations already selected.... Why not Football?
