Merrillville’s defense was top notch, no doubt. Thought going into the game the Pirates would struggle to score much against Snider and that proved to be true, but the defense was legit for sure

So let’s take a quick look at the classes: 1A - Lutheran and Adams Central, who else is there? 3 straight years of the same matchup 2A - This class is really down. Luers is a great football school, but they are an average football team this year that looks great against 2A competition 3A - Chatard and who else? That’s right, nobody 4A - East Central and???? 5A - There were at least 6-7 teams capable of winning a state title, other than 6A, no other class has more than 1-2 teams realistically 6A - 6-7 teams had a shot to win a state title My point is while you say Snider is heads and shoulders above everyone in 5A, that statement just isn’t true. Look at the other classes, pretty damn easy to pick the cream of the crop except in 6A

Fact check yourself dude. Snider is relevant almost every year, regardless of what class they are in. Certainly one of the most consistent teams in the entire state. As BTF pointed out to you, Snider has been in 6A recently and if they win Friday night, will be again. Quit picking Snider , we certainly don’t care, and hang your hat on Chatard and the creampuff 3A class

Agree with you 100%!!! As great as East Central’s season has been, who have they beaten? They literally haven’t beaten anyone other than a 4 loss Moeller team. That schedule is creampuff like. Do I think they can compete with 6A teams? Absolutely. Do I believe they would have run the gauntlet that Ben Davis has ? No. Playing the BD schedule, they are 9-4 or 10-3 honestly.

All good. People talk about the weakest class of football, it is really 2A. No disrespect to Luers meant, I cheer them on when the playoffs start, but this is the weakest team they have sent to state in my opinion

Well, every team is capable of a bad game sometime during the season and that quick 14-0 lead against Homestead in the first 6 minutes was fools good. I do believe that was a wake up call and Snider is very dangerous right now

28-0 Snider win, Panthers defense completely dominated this game. You could have played 8 quarters and Merrillville wasn’t scoring. Pirates defense was really good, but they got worn down by the middle of the 3rd quarter. For BTF, you really need to believe in your team brother. Merrillville’s offense wasn’t scoring on this defense unless they were given great field position, which they were with the muffed punt and they still didn’t score. Snider offense was methodical and wore down the Pirates. Buchanan was quiet, but still had 3 TD’s and Billingsley was lethal on the QB options throughout the game. Time to believe folks!!!

Snider 28 - Merrillville 0, final Panthers defense basically shut down the Pirates offense throughout the game. Rohrbacher for Snider had like 20 tackles and set the all time Snider record for career tackles, Logan had his 4th pick 6 of the year to seal the game. Merrillville’s defense was really good and kept them in the game until late 3rd quarter, but their offense just couldn’t move the ball. Buchanan for Snider had 3 TD’s though the Pirate defense did well on him. Billingsley hurt the Pirates continuously on QB keepers
