If you not see the picture but one set of bleacher got blowing up and took out the south goal post. Not sure when it happen during the storms. Say they could have restarted the game what would done since one side was missing a goal post? Would they have had both offensive got to the north end zone for the rest to f the game.

I would say it could have been a factor, but not the only factor in the game Westfield kids played a great game and pulled off a huge trick play. Cg kids made few mistakes that also cost them. My thought is if it was a bad call a very bad call I can life with that. They are human and that is part of the game. Also I am sure in the past also it will happen again in the future that CG will be on the other side of a bad call. That is just the way it is. Now if the crew did not the rule that is whole different thing. -

The first touch was the Westfield player knocking it back from going into the endzone great play by him, and if the official from the game told you the cg player touched it first he lied to cover that they did not the rule or he blew that part of the call. -

Seen Carson Steele do it a few years back and called on it, first time heard of the rule when he did it. Not a fan of the rule but it what it is. -

I know this is going to sounds like sour grapes and such, but a call that official got wrong on a rule not a judge meant call or a did not see, but did know the rules total effect the game. -
On a punt if the ball hit the ground and the kicking team touches it then a member of the receiving team touches it the ball still goes to the receiving team.

Championships are they all equal
Trojanmp52 replied to Trojanmp52's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I never said a word about Center Grove. This could about Ben Davis just as much they did not win their first state title until the all in as it is now. It is more about. The era’s before 85 and after. This was started first with my coworkers about ncaa and the before and after they went to 64 teams. I Almost never agree with your opinions but with this i do. -

Championships are they all equal

I had this talk with a few coworkers back during march about the ncaa but it could also apply here. Do all championships eras have them same weight. Take team A has won 13state championships but team b has 6. Say team team A won8 titles say understand cluster system or before and all of team Team B have been since it was an all in tournament. Do not get me wrong you can only play what is front of you but looking back know in my opinion the the 6 means more the the 13. take iu basketball ncaa title they only won one under the current system. So in my opinion the other do mean as much -
NIL on the high school level
Trojanmp52 replied to Irishman's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
My 2 cents the nil was designed for an athlete to make money on them self out side of the school. Like a player say Caitlin Clark for example she did the State Farm adds. That is what the intent of it was for. I feel if a kids in high school can get paid to a some like that on smaller scale of course why not let them. Like the local town dinner want to do an add for and have some of the football team in. What is wrong with that and paying the kids for doing it. Side mote i would use lineman for any kind of eatery. We all know they love to eat. -

Saying Fort Wayne ( what ever school it is) helps people know where said school is located. If you just Snider most people would have no clue where that is at. -
State Champion vs Class Champions
Trojanmp52 replied to slice60's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I have felt this is true for years -
I post this a few backs the dates are from thenso I apologize since they do not add up to last year but I think most of you can get the giff of it. the more class you add the more water down everything becomes First change i would make is to the last week of July. I would make this camp week where schools could have a mini camp. They could hold it during 4 of the 5 days of the week. I Would make Saturday and no contact day so the kids and families could have the last weekend before the season starts to do family stuff. During your camp you can have up to 3 full pads pracites during the 4 days the rest would be pro pads. It would be like the old 2adays we had back in the day. The first Monday in Aug. would be the start of normal football operations The reason for this is to make more fair across the board some since not all schools start at the same time. 2nd change would be to move the start of the games up a week. For example this year Aug 7 would be the scrimmage and Aug 13 would week one. By doing this you would be doing two things one is give 5A and 6A the same amount of games played as the rest of the class, the second thing it would do is give the lower class a bye week. There is a lot ways to this but i think the easiest way is to make the bye week 10 right before the playoffs start.

With their only being only 6 teams in the MIC, their are more open dates for them to schedule CG then the HHC with 8 teams. In truth I was a little shocked to see Westfield, I believe they are one of the schools that voted no to let CG in the HHC.

I post something along those ideas a while back

I was watch the cg vs greenwood basketball game and they mentioned that was like the 192 meeting between the the two schools. I know that is basketball and it is have played a lot longer, but it got to wondering what is some of the longest rivalries still playing today in football. I know BD and WC have going on for a long time, just not sure how long

I lost all respect for the people that pick the award the year Russ Yeast did not get it he was the best player in the state by far. But the winner was some one that never even won anything. -
Do away with sectionals in 5 and 6A
Trojanmp52 replied to Trojanmp52's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I agree with you they will not but, in my opinion and for what that is worth sectional champs does not mean as much as did once. With only 4 teams it is water down and most years you know who is going to win. I am not sure about the north but I can tell you who with 100% faith I am right who is going to win 3pm the 4 in the south. The one in question I still would have got right. Not by much mind you but still right. -

I was think so but was not sure so thank you for then info

Ever since they went to 32 teams I have felt they should do away with sectionals and just do regionals. One let’s face it ishaa is not going away from blind draw like it or not I do not see them changing. So this would be a way to help at least in my mind. Like BD and brownburg this year u have a 1 in 3 chance they would play first game. If you go to 8 team regionals, that goes to 1 in 7. Not saying it would not happen but the odds are better. Two they do not have to reinvent the wheel they regionals are already set so no more work for them. Three it would safe the ishaa money 8 less trophies they would have to buy. Like said my opinion and we all how opinion’s on here go. Lol
