  1. It goes back to the days of leather helmets. The seams in the leather were sewn in that pattern; and teams often did color combinations with it very much like we see now on the UM helmet. Funny story about Bo being hired. At the press conference to introduce him, he said he was excited to be there and that he could not wait to change the ugly helmets. 😄
  2. I would agree that there are a lot of people that are acting irresponsibly throughout this whole thing, regardless of party affiliation. As far as answering the other question, that is who I meant to address it to, but this site merges posts.
  3. I would have liked to have seen the number of padded days allowed would be for July. Are we still allowed to do 12 days? 5 competition days?
  4. Not only did he know he was supposed to; his office sent a memo to everyone who would be attending the trip they needed to wear masks. https://www.businessinsider.com/pence-threatened-reporter-proved-knew-mayo-clinic-mask-rule-2020-5 And here is his admission that he should have worn one: https://www.politico.com/news/2020/05/03/pence-should-have-worn-mask-mayo-clinic-233360 As far as the other question, I have stated in a previous post the individuals I know personally who have passed away or have had the virus.
  5. Do you get whiplash from spinning that hard? lol......You KNOW full well this is NOT about any order Pence gave or did not give. The policy at the hospital was for anyone entering to wear a mask. Every person that was part of that group received the exact same advance notice for the trip. Pence even said later, after his wife lied for him, that he should have worn a mask. and you blame other people for being sheep........lol What is also funny is that the king of this forum regarding the theme of fake news seems to be doing the exact same thing lately. Not just the spin you put on Bob’s comment, but the fake news regarding the statistical improbability of your comment that no one in your family or no one that works at the plant you do knows a single person who has the virus. Then there is the notion you put forth just prior to that one that apparently only democrats know people with the virus.
  6. This young man has been an impressive young man for quite a while. While I am sad he went to Purdue lol; I wish him nothing but success. This is fun to listen tpo; even though the person doing the interview is clueless about the game lol https://facingfearwithsara.buzzsprout.com/651715/3504874-s3e3-just-a-kid-from-warren-purdue-football-s-big-10-freshman-of-the-year-david-bell
  7. Such a perfectionist lol.....you chose to insert yourself in the conversation with a correction, so while I did ask you the question, it does not mean the question would not apply to Howe as well. Maybe you choose to not answer because the answer does not fit some sort of stance you two have in common regarding the virus? 🤔
  8. Apology accepted. But adding 950 more people to the equation further increases the odds quite a bit that someone he mentioned actually knows someone who tested positive, right?
  9. Yeah...too lazy...as if that actually helped. And yeah, you have never typed something wrong have you? That said....just where the hell do you see “match person”?
  10. So, my math person said this is the equation. There are actually 2 million in the metro Indy area. For discussion purposes, I will guess there are 50 people that work at the plant you do. You never answered that question, so if it is more or less, the equation is the same. But let’s just say all those people know just two other people. I won’t guess the number of siblings still married though, so I will keep your number at 77. So with an estimate at the plant of 50, we are at 127 people. So if each of them knows two people, we are at 381. so 381/2,000,000 x 9936 is the equation. .0001905x9936=1.892. Convert that into a percentage, and there is a 2% chance that all the people you mentioned do NOT know someone who has tested positive, based on yesterday’s numbers. I am still curious though if you did indeed talk to all 76 people you mentioned yesterday to know for sure if they do not know anyone who has the virus.
  11. It has been some time since it was posted. But I believe your basic premise for what you believe is that people should be allowed to do whatever they want as long as it does no harm to others or infringe upon the rights of others. Has that changed now? also, being a supporter of a strict and limited interpretation of the Constitution, my next question is how do you define the phrase “promote the general welfare”?
  12. That does not address anything about what I posted. How many spouses are still with your siblings? Why leave them out? How many people work in your factory? The fact is the statistical probability that everyone you mentioned knows no one who has tested positive is slim at best. Statistically speaking, there is only six degrees of separation between any of us, as far as who we know. So, if we look at the number of people you mentioned and who they know alone, the probability of none of them knowing someone who tested positive is even slimmer. My other question....did you in fact talk to every single one of the people you mentioned yesterday if they are still at the point of not knowing anyone who has tested positive? Or are you just making an assumption?
  13. Someone who is better at Math than me is wanting to figure out what the likelihood of this post being factual is. How many people in the plant you work at? How many siblings are married? And all of these people live in the Central Indiana or even Metro Indy area? Metro meaning the surrounding counties, Central an even wider range. For those that are math geniuses here, you can help as well; there are 6.327 positive cases in Marion County. The surrounding counties have 3,609 positive cases. That means the metro area has a total of 9,936 positive cases. So, what are the odds that the 77 people Howe mentioned above and apparently talked to today (right along with every person who works in the same plant he does), know no one who has tested positive.
  14. Your claims before, and in this post lead to one conclusion. Continuing to make the distinction between democrats who know people and republicans who don't know anyone, pushes the narrative that the virus is a hoax. Without looking it up, I am guessing the words you used here; exaggerating or outright fabricating the truth are part of the definition of the word hoax.
  15. The ONLY reason to separate people who may know someone with the virus, or who has died as a result, is to push the narrative of the virus itself being a hoax. There is no logical , or even a common sense reason for making that distinction. One of my professors from IUPUI passed away last week. Paul Loggan, the AD at North Central passed away; while not a close friend, he definitely was not an unfamiliar face. We were in the same parish in Indy for a number of years. The previous principal in our high school was on life support because of it. While he survived, he has a LONG road to recovery ahead of him; and possibly permanent damage to his lungs as a result. A friend from the Northern part of FW here, was never admitted to the hospital, but had it early on, and is still struggling to get back to 100%. I have a high school friend who lost a parent because of it. So, is it REALLY that hard to believe that people here (regardless of them being democrat or republican) know someone with it or who has passed as a result? I am not surprised there are individuals who don't know someone yet...........yet.
  16. Or as Barry Alvarez would say, once a kid verbally commits, the REAL recruiting begins.
  17. IT's been a while since any GOT memes have come up you are welcome
  18. I apologize if I gave the impression that your thinking was insane. I disagreed with the idea of moving the season to the Spring, but I am perfectly fine with ideas that are outside the box. My feeling is that outside the box will be more and more of a necessity for the next couple years at least.
  19. Right.......and as every coach has a responsibility....know your kids. We have a lot who are simply stuck at home, and sadly, not even safe there. Our kids are excited to have these zoom meetings. It will only be our second one to do.
  20. Great picture....I am fine, but I was referring to the kids in our programs.
  21. Or maybe after 6 weeks of being stuck at home, it could be a welcomed distraction......within reason of course.
  22. Initially, I agreed with that sentiment, and stated as such after Favre ended up in Minnesota. But these last few years, I am actually thinking the opposite is true. Just something that seems off with him; going back to the Olivia Munn days, and him alienating his family.
  23. I really hope so. I know that Rodgers was not really treated well by Favre. Favre was very open about his thinking it was not his job to bring Aaron along.
