Just feel like Georgia is hanging on in this game. Bryce You g is REALLY good. His ability to extend plays and hit targets all over is impressive. The Georgia o line is struggling. I am really enjoying listening to Jimbo Fisher on the deuce with his staff. There are times too many of them are talking, but the insights are great. One screen has the live game, and Jimbo has a clicker for the other screen. Sitting with other coaches like this to watch a game and critique it is a fun thing to do, especially if the beers are cold and close by.

The next few years will be crazy. Change on the level that is taking place in college athletics is bound to have some bumps along the road. I do believe things will settle down when people like Charlie Batch realize that paying $1 Million to one guy to go to a MAC school will not be possible year after year after year. Realistically, he will have to offer several players that kind of money to see any kind of impact; otherwise,, Williams will be running for his life every game. It is a much higher risk to be paying college aged kids than it is pros; and some are realizing that already. I had mentioned 2 notable instances with Spencer Rattler and Quinn Ewers. Rattler signed a nice endorsement deal and Ewers could not get the QB job at osu. People and businesses will not be so willing to shell out big bugs for guys who bust. Like I said, we will see some crazy things happen; the transfer portal is one; and what kind of money players make will be another. I do believe there will be some leveling out. I also think there are things the NCAA can do; reducing the number of scholarships in football has been long overdue, and would be a great starting point. I know basketball is a different animal, but when scholarships were reduced there, we saw a large number of mid majors start competing and winning games in the tournament that were not happening before. There are probably things being considered that people will be thinking 'huh; never thought of that'.

I get the feeling that Harbaugh will be seeing a nice pay increase no matter what happens, and he will have a few NFL options to choose from.

Sounds like a great opportunity to get Mark Hagen back.

I did mean Justin....thanks. The line that looked like one of the best in the league blocking for Taylor a few weeks ago and most of the season protecting Fields is intriguing. I know Bears fans were REALLY excited about picking him, but I knew they had done nothing to address their o line and that they did not have a real RB.

Some interesting first round match ups in the NFC's first round. The 9ers look like the hot team going into the playoffs. Their run game vs. the Dallas defense will be interesting. The Rams Cardinals game is interesting.......having played each other twice already. Both offenses seem to be struggling a bit here at the end of the season. As a Packers fan, the two teams that worry me are the Bucs and the Niners.

Goff? Not Stafford Trade up in the draft for either Mac Jones or Jordan Fields Russell Wilson may be a solid target this off season.

I remember seeing him on an HBO special of young comedians; I am thinking it was a show that Rodney Dangerfield hosted. I thought Saget was really funny. I never got into his TV shows and really did not get into the Funniest Home Videos show because I felt it was too scripted for him. He just did a show in Jacksonville, FL last night. As I said, this past season is not an indicator for next season. While what you said about both teams is true, do you believe that UC is one of the 4 best in the country? Did you believe that MSU was ever really a top 4 team? As far as betting goes, I am definitely NOT going to factor in what happened this last season.

The initial story from AB about being injured had some support…..but since then, he tried showing the texts between him and Arians, and has spoken out about Brady and trashing him, along with Gronkowski, and the full receiving group of the Bucs. What is apparent is the guy does need help. Arians did an interview a couple days ago explaining what happened. Dan Patrick played it on his radio show. What AB is doing now adds credibility to Arians’ version.

For some fun stuff….Boomer should know better than this, but watching the current Packers QB’s joke about which one of them is Boomer’s source is hilarious. Matt Flynn has even joined in.

Absolutely….especially could haves in relation to either how practice went after a loss that should not have happened, or a mediocre season based on what could have been.

Nothing is certain, but the first 7 games on their schedule are games they should compete/win. Still don’t like that the 4 teams of osu, Penn State, Michigan, and Michigan State are in a row, but Michigan State and Penn State will have already played osu, so that may help some as far as rankings go. Desmond Ridder is gone at UC, IU should have beat them. Michigan State was a pretender all along and IU should have won that one too. The first 3 games should be wins. Outside of playing IU, I do kind of root for Fitz and NW. it’s a first class program and Fitz is a good dude. But IU should beat them. Purdue may have a reality check this next season. More than being a good coordinator, Brohm is better at developing QB’s, but the fact is David Bell was a difference maker. They do catch a break in not playing either Michigan or osu. The defense is losing key players too, especially GK. Rutgers has not had a good recruiting year so far. The injuries had taken their toll on IU by mid November, and as I said, last season is no indication as to how this season will go. A team to watch may be the Terps.

2-10? or even 3-9? seriously? I get this season was a huge let down, but come on. I am not expecting huge things for them next year, but it will not be as bad as this last season.

This is about next season........just like 2020 was no reflection of what IU did this last season, this season is no reflection of what will happen next season. Northwestern being in Indy says a LOT more about the imbalance in the divisions than anything else. Like I said, IU's recruiting class for this coming season is ranked 4th in the conference. Illinois and Northwestern were ranked 12 and 13. And while Nebraska may still sell out, their recruiting class is 14th in the conference.

Recruiting class rankings....as we all know, osu is in a world of its own in the conference. But IU's class is ranked 4th. It's not often they are ranked that high. In fact, I am willing to bet it is rare for them to be. I find it hard to believe that some think its program is in the worst shape in the conference.

I would add, as an old line coach, that in the NFL, there is more work involved over the course of a given play with pass pro than there is in run blocking. The o line has to stay engaged in a block for longer periods of time; they have to adjust to a QB scrambling, and I would add that pass protection schemes can be more complicated than run blocks, and there are more pass pro schemes than there are run blocking schemes. The run game is far more often a zone blocking scheme; step right or left and take on whatever crosses your path; if the path is clear, go up to the next level.

Possibly....but in McCulley's favor, he is a tremendous athlete, and could possibly transition to WR.
