At this point, those beaches are only closed from the 16th to the 19th this month. I am guessing that will be extended; and I expect other beaches to do the same. I am holding out hope though.

I saw a quote from a doctor on facebook, who was critical of people who only felt minor symptoms coming in to look at testing. I thought, ummmmmmm, isn't that what we want to have happen? I know with a few health issues that have come up, I want to know all details beyond a shadow of a doubt. Besides that, the more people we test, the better idea we have of what we are dealing with.

The difficulty in tracking this is that due to lack of testing kits/supplies, only really sick people will be tested. So, a number of cases, because of mild symptoms, will go untested. There will also be some that will still not be tested and will suffer significantly. The reaction to this outbreak will forever be labeled as a HUGE over reaction; and I am afraid the reality is that we did not act soon enough; primarily when it comes to being ready to test people, but also being ready to treat a large number of cases.

In two weeks; but I am staying on FMB and not Sanibel. I do go to Sanibel and Captiva at least once time I am down there; gotta get to the Bubble Room. It is an absolute MUST. Oh yeah, and the sunsets are kinda cool there too. :)

Corona and spring sports

Coaches? That would be an absolute no for them to do this. If a restriction comes from the IHSAA, coaches would face discipline from them. And if a coach faces discipline from them, you can guarantee he will from his school’s administration.....players and parents? Possibly, but to even gain access to the team’s equipment (bats, balls, helmets, catcher’s gear) would be a problem for a coach. If kids have their own stuff, then they might be able to pull it off. -

Does this one count? https://www.washingtonpost.com/video/politics/trump-calls-chuck-todd-sleeping-son-of-a-bitch/2018/03/10/cb2bc654-24c1-11e8-946c-9420060cb7bd_video.html or this one? https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2017/sep/22/donald-trump-nfl-national-anthem-protests You are right though, two wrongs don't make a right. It is a shame that the top elected position in this country has been reduced to such nonsense. Fan of him or not, there is a way to address political opponents that seems to have vanished quickly.

Any other upsets?
-
well, the previews showed that many in the group survived the attack; but damn.

Yep...started a topic to brag about our Dogs. This was a HUGE upset in Northeast Indiana. Homestead came into Sectional 6 ranked 24th in the State, and were expected to roll through this sectional with ease. They had soundly beat every team in this sectional in the regular season. They played New Haven for the title, and had beaten the Dogs 75-59 back in December. New Haven steadily improved as the season progressed; especially becoming a tough defensive team. That defense was the difference as the Dogs won 46-44. Proud of our guys. This is by far the biggest program win in at least the last 20 years.

Talk about the wheels coming off late. IU was cruising; up 8 points, Wisconsin in foul trouble, and the bad 3’s start coming. Frustrating end to what has been a frustrating season. There is talent on this team, but that talent underachieved yet again. I think this puts them on the wrong side of the bubble. As I have been saying for some time now, even IF they do get in, they will not win a game. This loss likely drops them to an 11 seed, again IF they get in. In my mind, they have not done enough to get in.

New Donald Trump thread

Or he could have meant that just because some people do certain things with or for some people of color, it does not erase other things they have done in their history that were racist.
