  1. Agree that Tuttle was really bad Nope, and Nope......still took the field and won the games they did last season regardless of the circumstances. Looking at the recruiting that is taking place, he still gets more time. He has to build more depth as injuries; especially in the o line are hurting them. Not making any excuses for yesterday; they have to compete in those games.....and win them.
  2. LSU beats number 20 Florida in a track meet. With Florida at just 20; I am not sure the seat cools off much at all for Coach O.
  3. They are at opposite ends of the bracket; so it would be a sectional championship.
  4. OK....playoff time......nothing to see here; keep moving Best of luck to both teams.
  5. Nothing but praise from this IU fan....fantastic game by the Boilers; especially AT Iowa. Offense just ate the game clock, and defense was solid all day.
  6. While Tuttle missed more throws than he made, the o line is a huge problem, and injuries are piling up. IU does not have the depth to compete in this division.
  7. Good call. IU has a solid defense, and they have shut down the MSU offense. IU will need to finish drives though, and not just settle for field goals. They cannot afford to let MSU stay close.
  8. Don’t thank me, thank @Gipper 🤣🤣🤣🤣 he did the heavy diggin on this one.
  9. Part of not being sure is that he posted this in 2019. nice going Gipper. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  10. You ARE aware you are replying to a post from 2019, right? 😁
  11. This is getting heated for no reason…..watch the name calling. The discussion of the field has been drug through the mud long enough. It’s Cathedral’s home field, plain and simple. Talk about the game now….PLEASE. On that note. I disagree with the notion that it was merely a difference of a couple big plays for CG. Their o line took over the 2nd half. Cathedral had chances to keep it a game, but mistakes hurt. Too many dropped passes. My initial impression is that CG let the conditions play with their head the first half. Maybe the parents were talking enough about it as people on here have been? But props to Coach Moore. Whatever adjustments they made, they were able to establish the run the 2nd half. Solid and sustained drives lead to the big plays referred to earlier. No question these two are the hands down favorites to win State in their classes. Best of luck to both teams going forward.
  12. Went deep for that reply, eh? 🤣 You may have set a record for the longest time between posts…..just shy of two years.🤣 sorry, I could not resist 😁
  13. Don't see many mud games any more. It's fun to watch. Both defenses are really good.
  14. I agree with Carr too….rip the cover off, don’t just slowly pull it back. Show them all. As a State employee, all of our emails are held for many years and can be viewed. Not sure what the process is. But if the league really wants to get through this generational thing, expose it all. As I stated earlier, I do have a problem with seeing players continue with no consequences. Maybe a legal expert here could clarify…….is it possible to suspend players while investigations are pending? In cases where Sherman openly admitted what he did, there still should be a consequence with his play….although one could say he has missed several games now. The delay in signing him may have something to do with what he did? Does the league have to wait for a conviction? Honestly don’t know, as it may be a CBA thing.
  15. Praying for the family and the community
  16. I am not referring to current players. You are bouncing all over the place....first it's just Sapp, then you throw in current players. You go back to just Sapp again, and now you are back to including current players again. Got my head spinning....lol My reply was to your comment about Sapp being removed being compared to other statues and monuments being removed around the country, posthumously.
  17. I get what you are saying, and have no issue with the idea that Sapp could be removed from that. What you end up with though is what baseball has to put up with. Does Pete Rose belong in the hall of fame? If we look at career accomplishments, I say he deserves to be. But I understand it may be hard to see a difference in the comparisons you made; but for many others, the difference is pretty obvious.
  18. OK...those are current players....you mentioned Sapp a former player........his screw up was while he was with the NFL network; yes, and he was fired for that. Gruden was an NFL employee, and was asked to resign due to his actions. I agree 1000% there is a double standard for current players compared to coaches. But Gruden was also part of management, not the players' association.
  19. The NFL is one business, while the teams are franchises of that business.
  20. He was a current employee at the time he resigned.
  21. To clarify; Sapp's trouble was post career; correct? The incident that cost him his job at NFL Network? I was no fan of his, but cannot recall at the moment anything he did while playing.
  22. It does seem to be a weird number. It's a no brainer in football, but baskets are only worth 2 or 3 at a time and not 6 or 7. 35 is a pretty decent spread in BBall. That said, I am not sure what number I would be able to say the rule should be implemented. Curious what you might think the number should be......or if there should be one?
  23. I am not sure. I posted the day after because of issues with the site. The IFCA has a page on the SportsYou app. It was posted there on the 11th. I have not seen any follow up posts from there.
  24. McAfee is the first to say you don't turn to him for life or political advice, but this is a great conversation about what has happened with Gruden.
