Solid performance. I won’t be too critical as it was ridiculously hot on the field. Plus they did not play this well week 1 last season either. There were a few highlight reel throws and catches. That first TD for Marsh was crazy. For a team with so many new players and coaches, I was impressed with North Texas too. Jackson played well for the. Happy to see him do well.

This guy seems like with far fewer rules than there ever were, he still finds ways to bend them. The Browns coach the other day even said Kiffin contacted him a couple weeks ago about Wright’s status. Willing to bet he was encouraging Monken to cut him asap.

I try to save up for one game a year. Last season it was Cincy at Green Bay. This year it will be Minnesota at Green Bay. Friends in Indy are season ticket holders for Green Bay. It’s always fun catching up with them. That said, it is a big investment.

Texas was ahead of the curve on that one. I agree that it seems a number of schools dropped the ball on doing that. The issue that has arisen out of the conference networks is that they are tied to already existing networks. The B1G with Fox is not as big of deal as the ACC and SEC networks being tied to ESPN. We saw how those affiliations have played out. Overly inflated strength of schedule rankings along with actual rankings and finally with the playoff draw.

I have long thought the league would make more money selling team packages rather than just the full league. There was a time though where you could pay a rate to watch an individual game, or maybe it was the games that day. Is that no longer an option?
