Costly game.......and frustrating. LaFleur sucks as a play caller, but he is worse as a game manager; lost a time out on a stupid challenge. Losing Watson was a completely unnecessary call. Up 23-14 and getting a huge stop on defense, LaFLeur takes a deep shot. The Packers have not been good for several years now with the deep game. You have a chance to run the game into the 4th quarter. A long drive could have been a back breaker, especially if it ended it a score, but nope. Drive stalls and Denver marches down to score and trail by just 2 points. Packers go from a 3 seed to a 7 seed in a matter of a quarter and a half. And with the injuries mounting, making the playoffs is at risk. Also lost today likely for some significant time are Tom, Walker, Parsons, Whyle, and Williams.

Someone COULD have 8 kids at 8 different schools….just sayin or 6 and he and his wife went to two others. Or 4 kids at 4 schools while he had two siblings and a wife at others. The possibilities are endless 🤣

I was looking like last year’s game. Last year Army was the favorite and Navy put it to them. This year Navy was the favorite and Army had them.

But Notre Dame fans would also know better than to try and make a claim about Michigan not being relevant.

I agree with that, and think upcoming schedules are tougher. I also have issues with how NBC seems to be treating them lately. Putting home games on the Peacock app did not help ratings at all.

I won't bite on the schedule thing. I am merely referring to whether ND is relevant or not.

While it was more of a tongue in cheek comment on my part, they still have a lot of sports talk shows and podcasters across the country talking about them.

And it paid off for them last year. My real issue is a lot of the negativity is being driven by ESPN, because they want a piece of the pie that Notre Dame gets. They are not in an ESPN conference, and don't have an ESPN contract.

See...your bias is really showing now. If you actually think that is something ND would settle for, then you are even far more biased than what you have shown so far. And, PLENTY of people actually do care; and no, it is not revolving around a single team. The ACC for example had a 23% sellout rate in games not involving ND. Over 90% of the games ND is involved in are sellouts.

That is a possibility. But, I do think the field will be expanded to 16 teams. That makes the ND12 agreement irrelevant.

Shall we count the number of posts made about Notre Dame made by the people who dislike them, os say people don’t care about them? Have to admit you are getting a bit carried away with this. Relevance is both positive and negative, and Notre Dame is getting a shit ton more attention on this forum than any other program. That equates to relevance.

I get the idea of pressuring them to join a conference. But everyone of those commissioners knows full well how far fetched that notion is. There is a fine line between pressure and collusion if it ever got to that point. If all 4 exclude them, then what conference do they join? Do you really think anyone would settle for Notre Dame in the Mountain West, AAC, MAC, or any of the other sub P4 conferences? Because if the P4 lock them out, that eliminates the chance of them joining any of those 4.

To clarify….something I actually learned, the Group of Five is simply the highest ranked five conference champions get in the playoff. I admit I used the think the P4 and G5 were two completely different groups, but they are not. I get what you are saying though; that there should be a level between the FCS and FBS levels. @Muda69 often brings up something similar to what soccer in Europe has as far as a system of promotion and relegation.

I think when you look at the high number of states that have it already, the NFHS has taken a hands off approach and will leave accountability up to each state association.
