Sectional 32 is a tough deal for basketball. This unbelievably talented group at HH players could end up not winning a single sectional basketball game if they go 0-1 again next season. That’s crazy to think about IMO.

Both teams should be outstanding next year. Move in players have really helped Bosse the last 2 two years. Ware last year was the difference in the sectionals and Sanford was huge late last night. Already looking forward to this matchup again.

Each team has a D1 post player with some really good high school players around them. Each team has a guard maybe 2 that could play at a small D2 or 3 school. So yes, lots of talent on the court last night.

YMCA misread the HH part. My apology, but you can’t believe Jasper is over the hill. As dominant as a program in SW Indiana over the long haul. I’m not sure a couple .500 seasons writes them off. I think Lewis brings a new energy. Fans I talked to at Jammin n Jasper seemed excited.

I think standing toe to toe is great but it’s all about winning. Let’s be honest, GS string of sectional championships came when SIAC rep Memorial was middle to the bottom of the SIAC and when HH was down in terms of what they normally are. No question they had a great run and a great team. And if you are saying HH ship has sailed and Jasper is over the hill, what’s that say about GS that has struggled the past 3 post seasons on home turf?

Regardless of the past couple of seasons for Jasper, when I think about Big 8 and PAC football Jasper and HH are the gold standard.

YMCA I disagree with Jasper over the hill. They have a couple.500 seasons and their done? Just asking....so are GS fans now of the belief that regular season SOS is beneficial?

Something needs to change when it comes to scheduling. Makes zero sense why Memorial is traveling week 2 to play at Northview. What a boring non interesting week 2 game that will draw very few fans.

I’m not sure but IMO I’m thinking like the boarder bowl. Maybe top teams that draw good crowds. GS vs Reitz, Central vs HH, Memorial vs SR, MD vs NP. Obviously who knows with all the realignment talk.

I would bet not very many. Indication of how difficult the SIAC is to win. Reitz, MD and Harrison probably have the most....just a guess.

TransplantedPanther, my friend, Titan32 not of fan of Reitz football or any team in SIAC for that matter. GS has become the new gold standard in SW Indiana and others need to recognize it.

I have a hard time saying a team is overrated every year that’s won 16 sectionals, 6 regionals, 2 SS, 1 state title and finishes in top 3 of conference every year.

It’s about the kids and I haven’t met many skill guys that don’t love playing 7 on 7. Now I think any 7 on 7 league that takes a multiple sport athlete away from playing another sport is plain stupid.

I know it’s a dream but SIAC teams and the PAC teams should figure out a way to play at beginning of the year. Could you imagine what Reitz Bowl would look like on a Friday and Saturday with top teams from each conference playing? Passionate fan bases that just enjoy football and friendship.

Just not sure Southport poses much of a challenge. 6A doesn’t mean quality by any means.

Southport because they’re 6A? In 2018 Reitz and Castle were ranked pretty comparable to Southport in Sagarin rankings and Central and Memorial were way ahead. Certainly a good opponent but nothing special. And it’s only 1 game out of 9. I see 2 challenges on GS schedule all the way to regionals especially if HH is moved to 31 and if Montgomery doesn’t play. IMO HH will be the biggest challenge in regular season followed by Southport. After that GS can name the score.

If that’s the case 32 is cupcake city. 31 will be a grind. I’m going to go ahead and name GS 2019 sectional champs by 8 TDs

Interesting on possible HH to 31. Bosse has played pretty good football the last 2 years in 4A. That’s not a team I would want to face in a 3A sectional game. Especially at Enlow. Speed kills!!

How will 3A 32 look, especially if Montgomery doesn’t play? Is HH vs GS the championship game regardless if week 10 or 11? Just can’t see any pac or 32 teams stopping Sigler and or Allen. SR with Montgomery possibly but just can’t see it without him. Any chance Bosse ends up in 32? I could see them causing problems, if healthy.

Not sure why he wouldn’t continue to compete in the toughest sport there is to play. Also not sure why the Allen kid is only playing one sport. Both of these fine athletes will end up in great situations regardless.
