  1. This is pretty cool if you didn’t see it, unless you’re a Duke fan I guess.
  2. Hearing 60/40, ND is doing some kind of green LED wristbands for fans so if there’s 40% o$u fans not sure how the light snow plays out haha hope it’s better than Georgia a few years back
  3. Braunte is playing qb? I must have missed that!
  4. Lot of ranked matchups this week including Ohio state vs Notre Dame, Oregon vs Colorado, Alabama vs Ole Miss, Florida State vs Clemson, UCLA vs Utah, Penn St vs Iowa And Washington state vs Oregon St
  5. Final Stat Line of Buchner, Jurkovec, Pyne combined: 18/47 (38.3%) 167 yards (3.55 YPA), 0 TD, 5 INT, 2 lost fumbles saw this posted, yesterday’s stat line from former ND qbs. Maybe Tommy Rees was a miracle worker but really shows their lack of finding high end or developing the qbs they brought in. Hopefully that’s a thing of the past with this new regime Offensive line needs to play way better and defense has to do the same for a chance to win vs Ohio state. And definitely need JD Bertrand back
  6. And let’s not forget this is a staff and team that lost to Stanford and Marshall last year. For them to go 11-1 would mean the staff would have improved as much as the team. I’m not saying they can’t or won’t but the schedule is pretty tough. And let’s say they do knock off Ohio state, how will the team respond to that type of success? Too early for me to make a prediction but at this point from last season: the quarterback position is way better. Running back has a lot of depth and should be better. Offense line should be solid, great at tackle and center but maybe questions at guard, major questions at wide receiver and who will be Hartman go to guy, tight end loses Mayer but young guys ready to step up. Defense line has a ton of depth that could be surprise of team; linebackers should be ok, corners have most talent in quite some time and safety room should be improved from last year. Add in 2 transfer kickers so special teams should be good. If I had to make a prediction I’d say 10-2 but 9-3 wouldn’t shock me with the schedule. Anxious for the game next Saturday in Ireland vs Navy
  7. Congrats to Crown Point brothers Paul and Will Clark on their verbal commitments to the university of Buffalo. Paul looks to play OL and Will at LB/DE I believe. Good gets for the Bulls.
  8. Would like to see them take the center from Minnesota, get that offensive line figured out foe the next 5+ years
  9. Buchnar hitting the transfer portal with a chance to return to south bend.
  10. IMO there was/is no battle. Hartman will be the 1. To be fair, Tyler Buchnar playing in a red jersey is a disservice to his skill set. But man, Hartman made some nice throws and great progressions/reads. And Buchnar, well, not so much. I think both will play this season but what Hartman potentially brings to the passing game could be special.
  11. Can someone explain the new clock rule? Is it just the clock keeps running after first downs now like the NFL or is there more?
  12. Probably a dumb question but who actually “runs” the NIC or any conference in general? Is it the schools AD’s or is there an actual committee or person that oversees the entire conference?
  13. Gerad Parker
  14. Looks like Gino Guidugli as new qb coach and Gerald Parker as the OC altho nothing official yet.
  15. FYI (and was curious) but I just read Ludwig’s buyout is 2.8 million from Utah. Guess it’s ok to pay Charlie Weis to stay away for 10 years or whatever it was but not pay that one lump sum to get the guy you wanted to run the current offense. A bit frustrating to say the least and more importantly where do they turn now?
  16. I thought I heard that Rees made 2.5m last year as NDs OC. Ludwig can’t or won’t come because of his buyout from Utah. So, and maybe i understand this wrong, the Irish are late to the NIL game and won’t pony up for assistant coaches. Not a great recipe for success in this day and age.
  17. I haven’t really heard anything on CJ Carr regarding TR leaving. That worries me but I’m pretty sure Carr won’t go to Alabama. Carr seems to like Freeman, ND and making his own path. Hearing Byron Leftwhich name getting mentioned for OC. Not sure how serious this is but that’s what I read. whoever comes in is going to have quite the stable for ND standards. Some really good running backs, some really good offensive linemen, and a really good quarterback. The receivers are a bit questionable but there are some young guys that can hopefully have an impact. It kinda makes me wonder why Rees wouldn’t have waited one more year since everything was in place for this years offense to be his best.
  18. This is what I’m curious about as well as the timeline to fill this spot. The names I’ve heard don’t really move the needle for me but maybe I’m just out of touch with the names and what they’ve done in the different places they’ve been. In no particular order I’ve heard Joe Moorehead, Andy Ludwig, Greg Roman, Sean Lewis, Jason Candle, Clint Trickett, Ryan Grubb and current ND tight end coach Gerad Parker. Not sure if these guys are actually interested in ND but those are some or the names I’ve seen thrown out there.
  19. Sounds like Rees is all but a done deal and heading to alabama and now I’m hearing DC Al Golden may return to the NFL. Didn’t think they’d be losing both coordinators, especially in February but that’s the way it goes I guess
  20. Media session with grad transfers got moved to next Friday Feb 10th
  21. Timing is kind of crazy too. New qb Hartman meeting the media tomorrow for the first time. I’m guessing when Saban comes calling you have to see what he has to say.
  22. You’re not wrong. That Stanford loss was horrendous.
  23. Yea and I can’t help but wonder if a part of him wouldn’t mind having a plethora of 5 star players at his disposal and a chance to beat BK and LSU
  24. Tommy Rees has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Bill O'Brien as Alabama OC. I know a lot of ND fans would like to see TR gone but I think he’s a great young offensive mind and will be a big loss.
