  1. Looks like Gino Guidugli as new qb coach and Gerald Parker as the OC altho nothing official yet.
  2. FYI (and was curious) but I just read Ludwig’s buyout is 2.8 million from Utah. Guess it’s ok to pay Charlie Weis to stay away for 10 years or whatever it was but not pay that one lump sum to get the guy you wanted to run the current offense. A bit frustrating to say the least and more importantly where do they turn now?
  3. I thought I heard that Rees made 2.5m last year as NDs OC. Ludwig can’t or won’t come because of his buyout from Utah. So, and maybe i understand this wrong, the Irish are late to the NIL game and won’t pony up for assistant coaches. Not a great recipe for success in this day and age.
  4. I haven’t really heard anything on CJ Carr regarding TR leaving. That worries me but I’m pretty sure Carr won’t go to Alabama. Carr seems to like Freeman, ND and making his own path. Hearing Byron Leftwhich name getting mentioned for OC. Not sure how serious this is but that’s what I read. whoever comes in is going to have quite the stable for ND standards. Some really good running backs, some really good offensive linemen, and a really good quarterback. The receivers are a bit questionable but there are some young guys that can hopefully have an impact. It kinda makes me wonder why Rees wouldn’t have waited one more year since everything was in place for this years offense to be his best.
  5. This is what I’m curious about as well as the timeline to fill this spot. The names I’ve heard don’t really move the needle for me but maybe I’m just out of touch with the names and what they’ve done in the different places they’ve been. In no particular order I’ve heard Joe Moorehead, Andy Ludwig, Greg Roman, Sean Lewis, Jason Candle, Clint Trickett, Ryan Grubb and current ND tight end coach Gerad Parker. Not sure if these guys are actually interested in ND but those are some or the names I’ve seen thrown out there.
  6. Sounds like Rees is all but a done deal and heading to alabama and now I’m hearing DC Al Golden may return to the NFL. Didn’t think they’d be losing both coordinators, especially in February but that’s the way it goes I guess
  7. Media session with grad transfers got moved to next Friday Feb 10th
  8. Timing is kind of crazy too. New qb Hartman meeting the media tomorrow for the first time. I’m guessing when Saban comes calling you have to see what he has to say.
  9. You’re not wrong. That Stanford loss was horrendous.
  10. Yea and I can’t help but wonder if a part of him wouldn’t mind having a plethora of 5 star players at his disposal and a chance to beat BK and LSU
  11. Tommy Rees has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Bill O'Brien as Alabama OC. I know a lot of ND fans would like to see TR gone but I think he’s a great young offensive mind and will be a big loss.
  12. Anyone know who the HC of IMG is these days? I had heard recently on a podcast it was Kyle Brey, son of ND bb coach Mike Brey, who played at Penn HS some years back.
  13. Not that it matters but remind me or tell me why did Buzz leave Portage? His decision or mutual? Program not even a shell of itself since he left.
  14. Joining the staff at Crown Point? Just kidding. Wonder if the DC Richards will apply for HC spot.
  15. @temptation seems like the yearly talk But do you expect Jim Harbaugh back next season?
  16. Biggest off season of our lifetimes??
  17. Next years schedule. Quick glance I’d take 10-2.
  18. I was curious but didn’t see the last qb to do it. IMO Still somewhat hard to judge Tyler Buchnar because of the small sample size (just 3 games). I love how he never got rattled last night and came back to win the game he almost gave away…… but he has missed throws and had bad turnovers in all 3 games. Whoever they bring in as a transfer qb will at least give them more depth and a little competition never hurt anyone. If they can have a qb depth chart next year of Sam Hartman, TB, Angeli, and Minchey that would be a great start. Just have to wonder if they’ll all be in the ND QB room come August.
  19. First player in 25 years with 2 rushing tds, 2 passing tds and 2 pick 6’s in a game.
  20. So after being committed to ND since Jan 1 and then picking Oregon during his signing day yesterday (but not sending in his letter of intent) Peyton Bowen has now committed to Oklahoma. A huge loss for the Irish; ND really signed a nice class but losing both Keeley and Bowen stings as those 2 would mostly likely contribute from day 1.
  21. The Moore recruitment was a bizarre one….silent commit to nd but still wanted to take other visits. Then he commits to Oregon after CJ Carr announces for ND. Then on Monday Moore decides to flip to UCLA. Peyton Bowen, committed since Jan 1 to Notre Dame, has his announcement where he picks up the Irish hat takes it off his head and puts on the Oregon hat. If you watch the video mom claps when he has the nd hat and stops once he dons the Oregon hat. As of this morning he still hasn’t sent his letter of intent to Oregon. Notre dame and Oklahoma are still recruiting him I guess. I just don’t understand why these kids commit in the first place when they don’t truly know where they want to be (or who will come in at the last minute with the biggest bag of $$$)
  22. JK should be a team captain next season too. From everything I’ve gathered and read he seems like a great young man both on and off of the field.
