I know the games have to be played, and I take no opponent, lightly. But if Floyd Central isn’t 9-2 with a Sectional Title after the next 4 games, I’ll be mildly disappointed. This is their shot. But I’m already proud of that team whether they do or not.

FC 55 JC 24 Really impressed with FCs offense tonight. They were a well oiled machine throwing the ball. It’s coming along. I actually see some hope for JC. Their coach has a plan. Their offense was very creative. They really came out and moved the ball in the 1st qtr. Floyd adjusted their coverage and they really started getting heat on the QB. He throws a good ball. They had a couple of really impressive leaping TD grabs early. FC was just too much with Polk throwing downfield and Wright finding creases in JCs defense. Great win for NA. I really expected more out of Seymour.

FC up 55-17. Running clock. FC JV is in.

Floyd up 34-17 at half. I’m convinced that Jennings County has kids of some these officials. I’ve never seen so many homer calls in my life.

Floyd Central at JC is not a walk in the park. Floyd just lost their 2 best DBs. 1 for the season. And possibly another depending on how long they stay in the playoffs. FC is banged up on the O-line. Their 2 big nearly 300 lb guys didn’t even play against East. And I’m not sure if they are healthy or not. JC can throw the ball. And it’s on the road. I don’t think this game is a slam dunk at all.

Floyd Central is heading up to North Vernon to visit the Panthers of Jennings County.

Jeffersonville has a lot more issues than what kind of playing surface they have.

I mean ISNT* up to par.

And he deserves it. Tremendous coach. I have nothing but respect for him. It’s not his fault that the rest of the conference is up to par with him.

I appreciate it. Unfortunately it’s just part of the game. You hate to see it happen. Floyd Central obviously doesn’t have the caliber of talent that a program like Columbus East has. But being a school of 1800 kids, they do have some decent depth. Their 2nd team guys aren’t too much worse than their 1st team guys. At least right now. I mean BNL is playing Freshman right now. NA is mostly Sophomore guys right now. There are other teams like that. Fortunately for FC, they have 27 Juniors and 12 Seniors. So they have upperclassmen depth.

Floyd Central can handle losing this game. But they suffered some major injuries to key players. We lost 2 guys in our Secondary and 1 on the Offensive Line. 1 of them is for sure done for the season. The other 2 might make it back before the Sectional. This was worst case scenario stuff to me. I hate injuries to any HS kid.

You guys are just physically superior. But it’s been that way for a long time. Outside of 2010, I can’t remember ever matching up with East.

Defensively they are small. Their O-line is a little bit bigger this year but they need more time in the weight room. 4 of them are Juniors so hopefully they bulk up some more.

East clearly the more dominate team. I feel like Floyd played them a little bit better(at least what I heard on the radio), but very clearly there is a lot more work to be done.

I’m following the game. It seems to me that Floyd Central hasn’t come out with a lot of energy. They and other HHC teams seem to do this a lot against East, just expecting to lose. These kids need to learn that no matter the final score, you need to play your ass off for 48 minutes.

I won’t make it up tonight buddy. I had to work late tonight. Good luck. I hope everyone comes out injury free. I’ll say East by 24. 34-10.

Just not much excitement in the HHC matchups this week. I look Forward to the day, that most of these teams are on the same level(hopefully.)

Oh I understand. I expect them to roll out a strong team. Would be delusional to think otherwise. I will say, that the most underrated unit in the Conference is Floyds defense. I’d venture to say it’s the 2nd best defense in the league. I’ve been more impressed with them than Floyds offense. That defense has carried them at times. They remind me of the Brett Szabo BNL teams. Good on defense and special teams. Do just enough on offense. I’m pretty concerned they’ll get off to another slow start Friday and you’ll look up and it will be 21-0. You just can’t fall behind that fast to East or it’s a long night.

I seen what they did against Pickerington. I didn’t need anymore convincing. That’s a legit defense.

Just curious? How significant are these injuries? I know a lot about their Offense but what does their D look like? Best players?

Floyds O-Line isn’t small. Now, are they good enough to move Easts front? I’m not real convinced there. I do think that Defense and Pass Blocking are things that have improved under Coach Bragg that Brian Glesing didn’t seem to focus much on. I don’t think it will be a real competitive game Friday. 06 says 3 TDs. I’ll take that. That would be improvement.

No. But you are basically the message board police here. If anyone says something, you immediately fact check everything. You aren’t on the field. Stop throwing Yellow Flags. Opinions don’t always require facts. It’s all circumstancial.
