how much longer can you say that with a half way straight face? If you are talking Purdue Basketball then I agree, but if that statement was remotely true then why was there 883 total players in 2024 transfer into a P4 school? And your path in not always chosen by you: You enter into contracts with schools and if you do not perform, you can lose your spot on the team and your coach at P4 school will not renew your contract and tell you to hit the portal. So that sentiment was true bout 3 to 4 years ago ish, and beyond, but I don't think the data supports that anymore.

Not YET..... but.. even a place like CROWN POINT. Almost 3500 students at the HS, they just informed 19 people at the HS alone, they no longer have a job come January, there is going to be more cuts this summer corporation wide and as they Superintendent stated, 2 weeks ago, its going to get worse in 2027 and VERY BAD in 2031 projections, and were talking about a very well funded and recently passed referendum in May that raised $9M however with new state laws on funding public schools, they lost 3M already because of SUITS who think they know........ This more of school choice downfall moreso then th traditional, well our town lost a college or a factory situation. yup, some schools have that requirement, have to come to X amount of Classes to be eligible for ECA

And that is why I love the NFL more than NFL minor league system called P4 NCAA, any given game in the NFL, all 32 teams have the ability to win. The 53 man rosters of talent dictates this. That cannot be said in a 4 team or 12 team playoff system. I think having multiple losses at the highest level of the game of Football and become a Lombardi Championship hoister is not a negative, however, I understand each folk is different on how they consume the entertainment preferences of American Tackle Football

Most high end college athletes are not in classrooms and do all their work remotely it seems. I wouldn't think much of that. But if IU falls short of goals, and money will be there, perhaps, but it all depends on depth of QB class coming out and from my eyes, its weak QB class

We have lost over 100 plus kids since our 2014 state year: We are closer to 1a then 3a these days. Once you take out Transient/hispanic population, IEP students, we probably have a pool of about 330 or so students for athletics, obviously not all are boys and not all play sports, so you go from school of 530+ and roster of 50ish to school availability of under 350. Our 8th grade girls could only find 3 to play hoops, our Sophomore class came over with 84 TOTAL bodies, of which under 40 were Boys, and freshman year we had 6 play, now down to 3 this year. Factors: Division 2 college St. Joe has now been closed almost 10 years, more families choosing full on FFA lives, or just flat out leaving public school to go online so they don't have to take state accountability tests and they can have theirs in the farms. Just a couple of examples here in our school.

Perhaps, the trust of a coach in the building will help improve amount of players he will have to get out and provide a face and personality the school community already knows and if he has had some success in baseball then why not football? Many times, imo, folks forget that we are also in the relationship business, building those relationships the right way takes time and perhaps that is the WHY on this hire.

Could you imagine NFL front offices and coaches all up in the business of college if they had that....they are so protective of their assets, they will be going nuts if colleges are mis using in their view their asset

I was thinking BEARS in round 1 for LOVE however, drafting 14-32 area, (yeah I said it) , don't think he will be there and we really need to continue to beef up DL/LB/S/DE/OL. Love him though, really good running back Question for the Domers ( said with love) does #34 come out this year?
