  1. Glad you brought up CG who has been very successful 6a program in the MIC primarily running the classic Wing t Sure they have some Spread 2 min stuff they do, we all do, but the one that makes the bacon is the wing t and center grove has no problem selling that to their community all these years
  2. Point, IF YOUR TEAM AND COMMUNITY BELIEVE IN THE SYSTEM IN PLACE, YOU CAN HAVE SUCCESS in 2019 just as well as in 2009, 1999, 1989 Why is it that Russ Radke has success? Why is it that Bart Curtis took Warsaw to their 1st sectional championship in school history in year 2? Why cannot that be duplicated at Noblesville? Time of possession is your best defense
  3. Strong sure, big not necessarily Game of football is about leverage and pad levels. Size helps if you are running RPO/ZONE Schemes POWER T is scheme relies on great pullers, leverage, double teams and great action in the back field. That is why NAVY can go against some teams that are bigger than themselves and have success, pad level
  4. Just to remind folks Kevin Wright at Warren lost 5 total games, 1st year regional to BD, then rattle off 3 straight State championships. Under Center, triple option flexbone with DUDES
  5. Last time the Millers had a winning record was 2001 Simmons Spread Schieb spread They are qualified offensive minded coaches It is ok to be different. Different can work Kevin Wright ran flexbone at Warren Central, I think that turned out ok, why didn't he get in all shotgun spread ?????
  6. After the 1st singing period: https://247sports.com/Season/2020-Football/CompositeTeamRankings/ Purdue 30th Louisville: 39th IU 50th Illinois 64th Rutgers 67th Maybe a couple difference maker on rankings left to be signed but as it stands right now Big Winner last 4 weeks: Scott Frost and Nebraska: big finish in December leaped them into 20th. I believe that there could be a big 4 star QB out of Texas that could have given Boilers the David Bell, Rondale Moore, big time silent verbal and will do the hat dance live at the US All America game just like Bell and Moore did. Down to Baylor Purdue, Oregon If he jumps with the Boilers, could push them into top 25 range.
  7. 49th in the nation as well. Official rankings will not be done until 2nd signing date in February.
  8. Which begs the question: Isn't the goal to win games for the school and not turn out D1 athletes??
  9. I would agree with that sentiment as well. However, there are plenty of other opportunities to showcase talents other than Friday Night game film and stats.
  10. Purdue just signed a 4 star QB out of New Jersey https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/michael-alaimo/kmw7wHGLEea-8KA2nzwbTA/football/stats.htm Brohm in his presser made mention to the fact that do not let the stats fool you, he plays in a great tough conference and his HS teams win and he is a big part of the reason but not because he is throwing 40 times a game. Speaking of running offenses and big schools: This guy does pretty good out in California, just won a state title, their old conference kicked them out a year earlier and bumped them into De La Salle's conference. https://www.coachtimmurphy.com/#/ This is where we got out double tight single wing 86% run offense as well.
  11. No Sir Old school T Lots of misdirection and window dressings I know we scrimmaged them I believe in 2016 at East Chicago, I think they scored 8 our 12 plays from 40 out, mostly untouched. They were pretty good that year.
  12. The pain of the 2nd sentence is just too much.
  13. His region would have to 1st, nominate him for the honor of coaching in the game, next coach himself would have to express interest in being the HC of the South, All 5 HC from each region have an opportunity to throw their hat in the ring to be HC of the North or South. From there, if there are muliptle hats in the ring, IFCA members from each region's such as Region Director, Ast Coach Rep, etc etc get a an email with the resume of each coach who applied. Only time that I know of it wasn't done this way was 50th, when the Legends were brought back
  14. Kudos to Noblesville for making that statement, incredibly disheartening that the statement had to be made in the first place
  15. Region 4 Head Coach: Brian Nay Lafayette Central Catholic Ast Coach: Keith Madderon Lafayette Harrison
  16. Looks to be the farthest a Indiana kid is going: Jealous, gets to go hang with Coach Leach!!
  17. When they talk Purdue and family how they keep it "real" its this man here.
  18. Shhhhh Folks think Purdue was a 1 hit wonder don't let them in on the secret
  19. I do not blame Trubisky, honestly, I do not believe he was coached very well most of the year. He thrives with moving the pocket, under center with some boot action, sprint outs. I know the shoulder injury set him back and maybe got Nagy shy on those type of schemes, but he still showed flashes of why he can be a very good NFL QB if schemed well and coached well. I would take him over Brissett
  20. That is when the UMPIRE better be throwing the flag for defensive holding
  21. @DT updated composite rating https://247sports.com/Article/Walled-Lake-Western-receiver-Abdur-Rahmaan-Yaseen-flips-commitment-to-Jeff-Brohm-and-Purdue-Boilermakers-140731253/
