  1. Listening online...sounds like OV getting a lot of pressure
  2. Linton holds on 35-29 after being up 35-7 at HT Kudos to Southmont. Helluva a 2nd half! Miners have a lot to clean up before next Friday
  3. Must be all that attention they get in the airport
  4. Not a terrible drive straight up 67 from Bicknell though. 50-55 min maybe
  5. Having seen both, how do you feel Southmont & Linton match-up? Have a gut feeling this could be a dog fight. Hope I'm wrong
  6. Congratulations. I knew about the 4th grade game. Didn't know about the 6th grade. One of our 4th grade coaches said you had the best team there (also said Castle's officials were suspect).
  7. Fair enough. And I forgot about your Softball program. Very good. Back to GS v OV
  8. If you're okay being a two trick pony (football, GBB) you shouldn't
  9. I want the best for GS and I believe in you guys! Would love to see GS follow the Linton all sports success model. Maybe we could arrange for your folks to do some job shadowing @ Linton-Stockton? If you build it,they will come
  10. 😄 I have. Not much happening there lol Maybe a part of me was wondering when GS was going step their game up & compete in a sport other than football?? I kid...
  11. I've seen this happen in other sports as well. It's special to see that next group get their chance and do more than anyone expected. In 2013 Linton basketball finally broke through & won a sectional after a 20+ year drought. They rode the sectional championship momentum to a 2A state runner-up finish. That season had been circled for several years & after losing 4 starters and 3 scholarship players not much was expected the following season. The 2014 group didn't care much about anyone else's expectations. A bunch of seniors who played JV their first 3 years went on to win 20+ games, and another sectional title before losing in the regional final. From that point on, Linton's been a 2A basketball power and one of the top programs in southern Indiana. Looking back at where the program is now, most people credit the 2013 team for breaking through (and rightfully so), but to me the 2014 team truly changed Linton Basketball. They proved you didn't need a bunch of superstars to win. Good athletes who are smart, tough, competitive, and have something to prove can win a lot of games.
  12. I don't disagree about their schedule. They've played some solid teams in conf & S Put was a decent small school team, but their noncon games I think reflect the sruggles OVs had prior to the last 2 seasons.
  13. No idea why so many are dismissing OV. GS is the favorite and I expect them to win, but wouldn't be surprised to see the Patriots pull it out. OV has a few head scratching games where they gave up points to skilled passing teams - Indian Creek, South Put, Sullivan. But they also won those games. OV is physical and very good against the run. Terre Haute South 48 Northview 37 OV 28 Northview 7 GS 35 Mount Vernon 7 OV 35 Mount Vernon 14
  14. HT Linton 21 South Vermillion 7 Several unforced errors by Linton keeping SV within striking distance
  15. So happy for Eastern Greene. Extremely difficult and emotional week for their program & community.
  16. Game & Season. Hope they can regroup for the post season. Certainly won't get any easier.
  17. Wheels seem to be falling off for Lincoln?
