  1. Yes they were! Not sure what's happened to everyone. Must be bc there's so much to do here lol
  2. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-verizon-us-rvc3&sca_esv=178e2c54028f2967&sxsrf=AE3TifNaMRFufIDPFp15IkMbP0C8iax5BA:1763078710524&udm=1&lsack=NnIWacjYH6f_p84PlebfuAc&q=linton+indiana+food+places&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwjIy4GCrPCQAxWn_8kDHRXzF3cQsoINegQIFRAH&biw=384&bih=755&dpr=2.81 The Grill (old school diner), Sportsman's Bar & Grill (would be my pick), The Vault, and a new BBQ place I haven't tried yet are all downtown within a few blocks of the school.
  3. I'm not sure what your definition of "has nothing for BC" is, but that's a strong statement! Granted, Linton is a little banged up & they lack the depth of several past seasons, but they'll still have some darn good 2A players on the field. Linton will be by far the best team BC has faced all season. The Miners on the other hand, have played at least two, maybe three teams better than BC. This one will likely be within the margin of error. Anyone expecting a walk in the park for BC is kidding themselves.
  4. It's reallly not hard to comprehend. If both play their best, HH is 2TD+ better, and even just a "good" game by HH beats Luers playing at their best.
  5. Sagarin - HH two touchdown favorite John Harrell - 31-17 HH Massey - 35-14 HH (Luers 14% to win) CalPreps - 31-17 HH (Luers 19%) The consensus is HH wins this game ~ 8/10 on a neutral field. The gap is large enough that even Luers A game isn't enough. They have to execute & play mistake free + have HH play poorly & mistake prone. I just don't see it. HH 42 FWBL 20
  6. BC people will probably disagree, but this game shouldn't have been that close. Linton probably should have won by 2 scores. Miners overcame some huge mistakes & questionable play calling.
  7. The fumble just now was even bigger. BC catching breaks.
  8. Miners the quicker/more physical team thus far. Linton 8 BC 0
  9. Linton playing Marion Local last weekend has confirmed to me the leanings I've developed on P/P schools over the past decade or so. Having seen Linton face a great LCC squad in 2015 & having our season ended by Evansville Mater Dei yearly from 2018-2022 (aslo multiple games vs both Scecina & Lutheran since 2011). I've concluded the advantages those P/P schools have are driven by culture, demographics and discipline. It's my opinion that recruiting/transfers is a very small part of their success (at least the schools I mentioned - can't speak on others) and likely no more of a factor than many of the better public schools enjoy. There's always examples to the contrary - Bowman Academy's 2013 basketball team being one! Back to Marion Local. They looked very much like 2015 LCC and the better Mater Dei teams we faced. Very disciplined. Clearly some standout players, but what stood out most was everyone was solid. Consistent. Precise. After speaking to some of their fans and others familiar with their program, the demographic similarities (aside from being rural vs urban) are striking to LCC & Mater Dei. ML's school district is over 80% catholic & has an extremely low poverty rate. Nearly 50% of boys enrolled participate in football.
  10. Not sure about the others, but North Knox has a great weight room for a rural 2A school
  11. Pretty sure Luers LT had him for Thanksgiving dinner
  12. As some others have said, NP looks slow and unathletic. Bases on what I've seen today, both 1A teams would've beat them 3+ scores.
  13. You're correct. Speed is the great equalizer.
  14. To me, DC appears a little bigger & more physical thus far
  15. Agree. Both of Jetts passes so far have sailed. Needs to settle in. The targeting call was questionable & certainly didn't help. HH at minimum, needs to possess the ball for a bit on this upcoming drive. TOP extremely lopsided thus far.
  16. If that's the conclusion we're drawing, NP's history is chalk full of teams that lacked toughness.
  17. Huh? Gave up 28 to HSE & 27 to Snider.
  18. * Correction.....28-0
  19. No doubt you definitely got the best of our brief five year series. But to be fair, this was during a somewhat down period for Linton. We had seasons of 5-6, 7-4, 8-4. Not exactly up to our standards. Nonetheless, the majority of those five opening season games were very competitive. 2017 SR 17 LS 16 2019 SR 28 LS 20 2021 LS 27 SR 13 And your great 2020 team did win easily 28-20, but I don't know if that counts as "destroying"?
