What happens in the following scenario. Offense gets set. A man goes in motion and is moving towards the LOS at the snap. A flag is thrown at the snap. The ball is handed off to the RB for a twenty yard gain. My question is when should the official blow the whistle?

I'll take Jasper to cover.

Let's not forget the SIAC almost added four schools which likely would have resulted in a format similar to what the PAC is currently using.

Any talk of Boonville and Bosse trading places?
Alduflux replied to a topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Regarding the OP Boonville is in a good place for them. My preferred conference alignment for sw indiana (football only) would have multiple divisions with promotion/relegation to maximize competitive scheduling. The SIAC and PAC combined have 22 football playing schools. Getting to 24 schools would neatly create four divisions of six. The four divisions would all play their five division games in weeks 5-9. Weeks 1-4 would allow for cross division games to fill out the schedules. Theoretically that type of arrangement would result in the best six teams in the same division and the worst six teams in the same division. I have no reasonable expectation of anything like that ever happening. -
Adding one would have been worse then adding zero. Try finding good non conference games after week 5.

Southridge at Lawrenceburg 3A Regional
Alduflux replied to sr1's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Do Southridge fans actually want to win this game? If they do it means they are stuck in 3a another year and ruins the argument that they belong in 2a. Schools that win 3a regional probably don't belong in 2a. -

Yes. Because I prefer successful states to failed states. -

No. I haven't thought about it before. Sounds like it might be a good idea. -
I'm confused why you think this matters.

Of course not. I don't recall anyone saying anything about teaching kids to love the state. Is that a desire of yours? -
Amy Coney Barret SCOTUS nomination thread
Alduflux replied to Muda69's topic in OOB v2.0's OOB Forum
The links you cite and quotes you choose to bold along with your opinion on packing the court are inconsistent with a person that doesn't care which party picks the SCOTUS. Yes I care. -

I don't even know what you're talking about or if you did anything wrong. Thumbs up for apologizing. You should be president.- 1 reply

To Muda: Do you have a preference on which party (Republican or Democrat) nominates and confirms court pics? -

We are a nation of laws written by our elected representatives. Law breakers should be punished. The state didn't say the parent overreacted. I did because he is. -

Follow the Science? How COVID Authoritarians Get It Wrong
Alduflux replied to Muda69's topic in OOB v2.0's OOB Forum
Of course not. That should be obvious from the "three separate occasions" part of the law if you bothered reading it. The "90 minutes" part of the article is just a quote from a overreacting parent. -

Alduflux replied to Muda69's topic in OOB v2.0's OOB Forum
Do you even bother reading the articles you post? Again, this article has nothing to do with science or covid. "The law says any kid who misses three full days of school or is tardy for a 30-minute class period on three separate occasions can face jail time. The policy was obviously intended to cover unexcused absences for in-person education, but the district apparently intends to apply it to virtual education as well." -
The Jasper feed on ihsaatv is run by JHS media. The channel 18 broadcast is always tape delayed. If there is a live feed it will not likely be either of those two broadcasts. Why doesn't SR (or every school for that matter) run their own feed through ihsaatv? If it is a equipment issue I'm guessing they could find some available for rent on short notice. A laptop, camera, and dependable connection should do it.

I suppose it depends on the difference between a mandate and a restriction. ----------------------- Scally said the report also sought to tackle the “myths” that Sweden had not imposed any restrictions to curb the spread of covid-19. The report highlighted that on 17 March, Sweden moved to online learning only for all children 16 and over and university students, and did not return to face-to-face teaching until the middle of June. Schools for children under 16 stayed open, but have had small class sizes, social distancing, and hygiene measures put in place. It also noted that Sweden has had other restrictions such as a ban on travel from outside the European Union (in place until November 2020), a ban on visiting retirement homes until October 2020, and a continuing ban on gatherings of more than 50 people. https://www.bmj.com/content/370/bmj.m3765 -

Of course Covid is responsible for virtual learning. Your point of contention isn't with virtual learning, but rather enforcing a rule that was written before Covid existed. -
