  1. " After Georgia, there are 10-12 teams that on the right day "could" be playoff worthy." I think that statement is pretty cut and dry, with Notre Dame obviously one of those 10-12. Michigan will be ranked higher than Michigan State for the same reason they were ranked high to begin with. They opened up an impressive multiple score advantage over MSU on their home field. The committee has taken that into consideration. It doesn't really matter though. I think the chances of MSU having two or more losses is higher than that of Michigan. Both teams have brutal schedules down the stretch. Speaking of Nebraska. The Cornhuskers this year remind me of where Indiana was in Gerry Dinardo's final season at IU. Competitive in every game, just not enough to win. Nebraska would be making a big mistake if they take the same road IU did.
  2. It's the only ranking that makes any kind of sense. Sure, it has it's flaws, but it's way more accurate than the AP.
  3. Exactly who are the playoff teams then? Most years, absolutely not. But let's face it, there aren't many teams that are playoff worthy. It's a crapshoot after Georgia.
  4. Most years, probably not. This year? Name 10 teams better who are better. Good luck with that.
  5. The problem in the video is #62. How Wayne reacted was natural human behavior. Number 62, who weighs about 280 lbs, leveled a kid who weighs about 140. If Wayne players didn't come to his aid, then shame on them. This is 95% about #62 and only 5% about how Wayne reacted. Also note that it was not an 'all out brawl.' Several Wayne players kept their composure. That being said, if I'm Coach Haydock, 95% of my focus would be on the five unsportsmanlike conduct penalties that led up to the large fight............that's a major problem that needs to be addressed. The other 5% is focused on the reaction of the Wayne players when their 140 lb teammate got blasted by a kid twice his size................#76 on Wayne should be given praise for putting an end to what #62 had started.
  6. https://www.wane.com/high-school-sports/fight-for-sectional-championship-turns-into-brawl-in-gas-city/ It didn't appear that the Wayne kid was going after the coach. He was running toward #62 when a coach stepped in between them.
  7. Somewhere I missed where you said "the Mississinewa player was in the wrong." Both coaching staffs have some work to do after this game. Something tells me that both teams were guilty, and neither were the victim.
  8. In making a public statement like this, you should probably tell the entire story. Did you not see the cheap shot delivered by said "Mississinewa player" upon the Wayne player? If I saw a teammate of mine get leveled from behind like that, I would have acted the same. In no way shape or form do I condone what ensued. Nor do I condone five unsportsmanlike penalties and two ejections. Haydock will have to address those issues with his program. But let's not come on here and pretend that Mississinewa's #82 was any kind of a victim. Anyone can look at the video by visiting wane.com.
  9. Indy is four times the size of Fort Wayne. It only makes sense that they'll have quadruple the amount of 6'7 290 linemen. I don't think there is anything in the water down there that makes their kids any larger.
  10. For the most part yes. Snider still isn't back to Panther form............still another year from that. Homestead is down. Dwenger is down. With Luers having a good year (not counting tonight) and Carroll being strong, that kind of levels things out in the SAC.
  11. Agree. A 2A team that defeats Carroll, Homestead, and Dwenger all in the same season, is pretty much a lock for the state title at that level. Anything can happen on any given night.
  12. I'm with ya. I knew Eastside had a chance, I wouldn't have bet on them winning though.
  13. Dwenger 28, Snider 12 Turn out the lights. Them Catholics can play some football...........even during a down year!
