No, trust me, West Laf would wreck South Adams. Not even close. There’s a difference between big schools, and then big schools with four star D1 athletes. I’ve seen a lot of WL as a Purdue fan keeping tabs on the Karlaftis brothers, and Yanni would wreck any SA game plan.
Not much confidence in the best team South Adam's has ever fielded? I've seen lot's of football, no need to educate me on the difference between a big school and a small one. I understand that West Lafayette hung with a good 6a team. Kudos to them. South Adams is playing at a quality 3a level. In fact they would probably be a top ten 3a team this year. My opinion stands............WL over SA by 21.

SA ...IS... the team to beat in the north.... an WL would beat them like a red headed step child! I hav only said LCC has to keep improving to knock them out... I believe RC is wo their starting. Qb today.... the back up is pretty good... but still taking it with a grain of salt.....
Just because WL humiliated LCC doesn't mean they'd do the same to SA................and they wouldn't do the same to SA. South Adams is a minimum 14 pts better than LCC. West Lafayette would probably be a 21-24 point favorite over South Adams.

How do think SA would do vrs WL this yr? Just curious.....
Better than 50-0. Much better actually. South Adams is the team to beat up north.

Maybe, but I wouldn't bet the ranch on it.

North Central scores 2 TD’s in the last 3:30.
Carmel’s secondary was shredded wheat.
Final- North Central 27 Carmel 21.
Hounds don’t lose many Homecoming games!
If Carmel's weakness is their secondary, they won't get past regionals.

Is there another game in the state that is bigger than this one?

Once again, WHO cares? I get your point, it is just meaningless.
Never seen so many dudes in a football forum using the words "imagine" and "pretend."
You stated that you don't "understand" what pound for pound means...........................just trying to educate you...........................dude.
I chimed in because I'm sick of hearing about how pathetic 1A teams are and how they can't compete with higher class programs. What other choice do smaller schools have than to claim pound for pound when schools of 3000+ are thumping their chest claiming "we're the greatest?"

Please expand upon that statement. What am I denying exactly?
Fact #1: We have 6 classes for football in the state of Indiana. Those 6 classes are separated by enrollment.
Fact #2: We have a success factor (whether you agree with it/like it is irrelevant) that forces teams to play above their enrollment level if they achieve a certain amount of success.
Let's pretend that Carmel had 10,000 students. Could they beat Purdue? The Colts? Do you believe in unicorns? You're are talking in hypotheticals instead of facts.
Here, since you are struggling a bit, maybe this will help. Imagine Avon or Center Grove with Carmel's enrollment. There ya go.

Imagine if my Aunt had, (well you know how the saying goes)...
They give trophies for that?
Oh wait, they do. SIX of them.
You need to get out of this state of denial that you are living in.

Maybe its just because I have NEVER been a boxing enthusiast and have never understood the actual "pound for pound" argument. I get your point about Avon/Carmel/Warren vs New Pal/Cathedral/Chatard. It makes sense. It is COMMON sense. Sorry if my argument was indicating otherwise.
Just seems like we have a poster trying to create some "Champions of Life" participation trophy that doesn't actually exist.
Seriously? You don't know what that means? Let's play pretend for a minute. Imagine programs like New Pal, Columbus East, Snider, Valparaiso, Pioneer, South Adams and Adams Central having enrollments of 3000 to work with. Scary thought, right?

I would like to just bring this back to the point of this guy thinks south Adams is worth mentioning but not cg.
Center Grove in the Top 15 is debatable given their strength of schedule. But with a 1-4 record, I'm certainly not going to crucify someone for not including them in their Top 15.
South Adams on the other hand? They are 5-0. They could run the table and make a claim that they are the best team in the state of Indiana regardless of class. And no one can argue against that because it will never be decided on the football field.
5 hours ago, Rodney said:I bet the cg marching band would pitch a shutout against south Adams.
Then the Center Grove marching band could pitch a shutout against over 200 other other teams as well.

Enrollment is the bigger factor. A good coach can take a large enrollment and run it to a state championship if done properly. A good coach can get the best athletes out to the football field. A good coach gets the entire student body excited about football. Bottom line..........................Large Enrollment + Low Participation = Coach Not Doing His Job. Show me a coach who disagrees with this and I will show you a coach who points fingers at everyone else but himself.

Last 10 games dating back to last year. 646-29. Why the sharp decline after Patrick Parks?

My guess would be around 6 but I'm not sure. I remember the 2016 season waiting at South Adams for the gates to open with my grandpa in his wheelchair and having to wait on the gates to open. Hopefully AC has it ready to go as there should be a good crowd awaiting to get in.
Thanks

Exciting game for sure. What time do the gates open?

And I’ll say this, I think Chatard is pound for pound the best team in the state.
New Pal might have something to say about that.

I'll take your word on the play calling if you take mine on the fact that Brownsburg's offense is far and away superior to Homestead's.
And you've been to how many Homestead games?
25 minutes ago, Boilernation said:That depends on Luke Goode. He’s a 6’5 or 6’6 four star at shooting guard. I’d be curious to see who would offer him if he he told colleges he was playing QB instead of basketball. Their TE is going to Bowling Green and they have a 6’4 Jr. WR who will likely play D1 football.
Notre Dame, Indiana, Purdue, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Clemson, Alabama, USC, Oregon, Auburn, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma...................just to name a few.

Avon shut down Brownsburg's offense which is loaded with D1 talent...
We'll just have to wait and see how things go down in the tournament. I could be wrong about the SAC, or maybe I'm not. Time will tell.

Top 15 looks good. Wonders if there's a place for Dwenger. I certainly can't argue not having them in there, but they are possibly a Top 10 team. Will find out more when the tournament gets here.

Give me the top 3 in the HCC vs the top 3 in the SAC. HCC comes out 3-0. Same with MIC vs SAC.
Let's go Top 4. Who would you match up against Homestead, Dwenger, Snider, and Carroll?...............in that order. I'm going to offend a lot of people from Central Indiana by saying this, but I'm not sure Avon could stop Homestead's offense. I could be wrong. Lot's of answers when the Sectional 3 winner takes on Carmel.

As far as the Noblesville/SAC debate. I would think they would be right behind Carroll at 4th. Northrop is 5th and I think Noblesville would blow them out. On the other hand I believe Carroll could blow Noblesville out.
Agree that Carroll could blow Noblesville out (if 3 td's is considered a blowout). Disagree that Noblesville would blow Northrop or Concordia out. I'm not sure they'd even beat those two teams, let alone "blow them out."
