Please don't bring Sagarin into the rankings, way too many flaws. I'd lay down a pretty good bet that New Pal doesn't beat Mishawaka.

Everyone has their own barometer by which they use. I have nothing against Sagarin, it's fun to see what the computer says. It's just loaded with flaws. Case in point: Columbia City's 70-0 win over New Haven. That's great for Sagarin, it launched the Eagles all they way to #13 overall in the State of Indiana. Now, we all know that Columbia City isn't the 13th best team in the state. What if Brownsburg would have played New Haven? They would have taken a 49 or 56 point lead into halftime, then run out the clock. I doubt they would have punished the Bulldogs to the tune of 70pts. Last year Brownsburg purposely gave themselves a goose egg against Dwenger in the second half. Classy move by their staff. Although fun to look at, the Sagarin system is flawed.

Please, stop this charade. New Pal would be lucky to break 6A's Top 15.

Hard to argue these picks. I would argue that Sagarin probably not the best poll to use for the Top 10 right now. I'd trust Sagarin a little bit after sectionals.

Nothing is 100%, and in this case, it's close. I'm not sold on the Bloomington schools, especially after laying an egg last year at semi-state.

I guess it really doesn't matter. I get tired of the clowns who keep bringing up that 4A is better than 5A. They're beating a dead horse. It was an interesting debate a couple of years ago, but it's time to move on. In the end, 5A's Top 32 obliterates 4A's Top 32. All 4A has going for them is their top six or seven. 5A is stronger in the 8-10 positions, which is why I give them the nod. I'm feeling like the old BTF at the moment, this could get ugly. In fact, I might just opt out before my language earns me -10,000,001 status.

Agree, Carroll rolls regardless, I just said it would alter the score. For instance, Carroll's probably a 21pt favorite if White is playing. Otherwise, 35. Agree with your 90% comment.

What makes 5A better this year than last? Snider's gone, Mishawaka is gone, and Valpo is down. Arguably the three best teams in the north last year.

Agree for the most part. Does Homestead have their QB back? That could affect the score. I think Snider could shut the Bruins out.

Pound for pound "weak"? I've got 5A's top ten and 4A's top ten in a crap shoot. Gimmie 5A if I've gotta take one.

From what I saw in Week 1, they had a lousy punting game. It actually worked in their favor. They went for it on a normal punting situation on 4th and ultimately scored the tie breaking touchdown.

I'd like to see how Northrop matches up against Elkhart with their starting QB healthy. I'll still take Elkhart with the win though. I think this sectional comes down to the Carroll/Snider rematch. But neither team is good enough to beat Elkhart showing up half asleep.

I think Mishawaka and Snider are dead even. If Snider runs the same offense they did against Homestead, they're a Top 15 team. Run/pass ratio can't exceed 4:1 and Landen Fry needs to continue leading the way. Great move by the Snider staff.

I think it's fantastic that Mishawaka might be better than they were last year in spite of two of their best players jumping ship. They'd have a blue ring this year had they stayed. The grass isn't always greener elsewhere. I'm still not sold on Elkhart. I'll take Penn in this one. Top 25 Temp. I'm not sold on the body of work of either team to anoint them Top 20. Much respect for Penn, I always like to see them play well.

Hopefully. I want to see a good 5A championship game this year. Wouldn't mind seeing them or Merrillville get it done........or Warsaw.

I have a hard time thinking DC would beat Carmel, Snider (the new offense), Noblesville, Zionsville, or Mishawaka. Just my take.

I'll take your word for it. There's just a lot of good 6A teams. Do you REALLY think there are 25 teams better than Noblesville?

New Pal seems high. You must really like their win over Greenfield Central.

I like it, it's fun. Just has some flaws is all.

I liked him from day one. Doesn't hurt to be confident. It clearly spilled into the program.
