  1. Chatard has been practicing at grand park two times during state week, the last 4 years to acclimate to the indoor climate.
  2. I picked mine up at the box office at LOS today. $15, no fees. For anyone in the area, go in gate 6, box of is right there.
  3. Yes. Nick went to ND also. And the oldest brother, Josh, is the head coach of the Chatard freshmen team.
  4. 2007 - yes, Zach Martin was on that team. I’d be interested to know how the folks down south feel this 2023 HH team stacks up against the 2019 HH team. I thought that 2019 team came was a juggernaut when they came to Indy, undefeated, I think. And most BC supporters certainly did not expect the score to be so lopsided. Do they still run the same offense? also, what’s the over/under on number of posts before this thread devolves into another P/P vs. public school debate?
  5. I bet you do! Maybe Chatard can exorcise those demons next year if we’re lucky enough to get a November matchup.
  6. I wouldn’t really know, other than looking at ratings, haven’t watched any film on the other 3A schools, I’ll watch some HH this week. I’ve just seen enough title runs to know that you have to put together at least three good games. And any team that makes it to state is a legitimate contender. With that said, they are very, very hard to score on. They’re healthy and have added another weapon to the offense with # 10.
  7. I wouldn’t crown them yet. They’ve got tough games yet to play. If they make mistakes like they did last night in another game, they may not be so fortunate.
  8. Boys and girls teams play the same weekend with all games at IUPUI. 3 classes. 2 games Friday, four games Saturday.
  9. I’m not aware of any. Cathedral actually re-affiliated with the Brothers of the Holy Cross about 8 - 10 years ago, although there were no Brother Eugene’s roaming the halls, and the Brothers had no input on curriculum. So it seemed to be more of a marketing play to make sure everyone knew they were still Catholic when they were out speaking to the prospective students and parents of the deanery schools
  10. They’re bigger and have more depth than I’ve seen in a while. Let’s see how they fare Friday night and the rest of the way.
  11. Momentum? Chatard had outscored the Irish 10-0 to close the half.
  12. I bet they do. 1-3 all time, I think. Good wins by the Tigers in the last three meetings. A regular season matchup would be fun (if SIAC could schedule out of conf games).
  13. 4A south has been a meat grinder in recent years, especially with the evil cheating Catholics from Evansville playing up. Pretty tough to stay up up a class in that half of the bracket.
  14. It was an off year realignment due to Covid school enrollment numbers being off. Chatard just had the good fortune of being moved down this year due to number of teams in 3A/4A
  15. This is absolutely the case for almost every high school outside of Guerin, who, by the way, has the nicest grass field I’ve seen. When I played at Enlow Field back in the 1900s, it was shared by three local teams. The middle of the field from the 20 to the 20 was dirt by the time October rolled around.
  16. I would second that! That kid is a warrior. I was on the Yorktown sideline and the kids and coaches showed great sportsmanship all night. The Yorktown community showed out. Great student section, loud fans. It was a fun night of football.
  17. I know Mt Vernon won there last year. But traveling more than a couple hours to Enlow on a Friday in November hasn’t been a recipe for success in recent years
  18. Someone shared this picture with me yesterday. Class act by Combs!
  19. Chatard v. North Central Chatard v. Evansville Memorial I believe Chatard has Westfield on their schedule in 2020
  20. Maybe the program only had the dress list. Thought u could only dress 75. If u look at the roster on the Chatard website, I believe there are about 88. 700 may be the correct enrollment number??
  21. My comment was directed toward the HH fans bashing Chatard, NOT the refs. Chatard played an uncharacteristically sloppy game with 13 penalties. HH very disciplined and basically mistake free with 1 penalty. It was a great game. Nothing but respect for HH and southern Indiana football. And mad love for those boys and coaches from Chatard.
