I think Southridge is a mystery to everyone including the Southridge fans at this point. We lost a lot of speed from last year but I think there is more size on the line. This game will be a good test and show us a lot more than the scrimmage.

Are you asking about Gibson Southern? They have 703 students when they did the count for the 2019-2020 Iand 2020-2021 HSAA enrollment and classification. In the IHSAA school directory they list 698 students.

Jasper ended last year with the 2nd best SIAC record. Why does everyone seem to think there will be three teams clearly ahead of them this year?

I can not understand why anyone not born in Cannelton would choose to go to school, or send their kid to school in Cannelton if the student had any athletic ability. Tell City or Perry Central would be a better choice in any team sport. Cannelton has an enrollment of 96 students. The only three sports for boys sponsored at Cannelton this year are Cross County, Basketball, and Baseball.

IHSAA BYLAW 9-10 Gender Participation Component Waiver Interscholastic participation on a Single Gender Athletic Team is limited to a student whose Birth Gender matches the gender of the Single Gender Athletic Team. Teams get to request any 2 games so maybe they picked a game you did run double passes?

I have no idea how every team manages trades with opponents outside of the conference during the regular season. During the tournament you have to provide 2 game films of the opponents choice so I don't see an issue there.

It is during the school year and out of season. Their high school kids could not attend.

My understanding was the if Boonville would have gone to the SIAC then Gibson Southern would have also. The SIAC wanted to keep it an even number of teams. When Boonville said no then Gibson Southern was not able to get in.
