Survive and advance right? About the only good thing to come out of last night. Cathedral’s defense needs to figure it out quick or this season is not for long. On another note, LN may need to be put on notice for next year. Believe I heard 4/5 of their offensive lineman were only sophomores who more than held their own against a Cathedral DL with two D1 commits. Couple skill position guys are back next year and I thought LN’s QB was the best player on the field last night by far. He’s only a junior. I see a little Reese Taylor in him.

Carmel and Center Grove are synonymous with suburb. They no longer play in the MIC.

That’s an all-time quote. And that wasn’t sour grapes either which should ring louder as his team won by 4 TDs, it’s just common sense.

Carmel and Center Grove no longer play in the MIC. You probably could have written this the second they were booted. Still need to see the HCC actually win a 6A title before I’m ready to pop bottles. A state title win would finally put a dent in the MIC’s 9-0 immaculate record in state championship games.

Carmel and CG’s removal from the MIC accelerated this by 5 or so years. Still need to see the HCC win a 6A title before I’m ready to dance on the MIC’s grave. That being said, I have no issue saying a Carmel-less and Center Grove-less MIC is now behind the HCC. That’s not really any Earth shattering revelation. And on a side note, when do heads start to roll at Carmel? One of the most disappointing football programs in the state the last few seasons.

A sectional championship barn burner between GS and OV sounds a hell of a lot better than an OV-Pike Central second half running clock, but that’s just me I guess.

In a format that not only allowed 4 of the 7 worst teams in 3A to “make” the tournament, but pitted all four of them on the same side of the bracket, there was always going to be that feeling for one of those schools and communities. It’s the de facto result of a broken tournament.

There’s nothing Cinderella about the Pike Central Chargers. They’re in the sectional finals due to a broken format.

Clean sweep in the first round of 5A and 6A as top half Sagarin rated teams go 16-0 vs the bottom half. Top half Sagarin teams go 74-2 in the first round against the bottom statewide in our all-in format, proving that Cinderella doesn’t exist.

Believe it’s a live ball as long as the ball stays behind the LOS. If it it’s blocked but still crosses the original LOS it’s blown dead.

If you want a true player of the year award, open it up to all grades. Most states have a POY award and it's not limited to just seniors.
