  1. They have less kids than Roncalli and about 150 more than Brebeuf yet I’ve never once seen you make the argument that Roncalli or Brebeuf need to be in 6A despite being located in the same county with the ability to draw from the same “2 million people”.
  2. Cathedral now playing schools their own size?? Uhh Cathedral hasn’t played in their enrollment based classification since the inception of the Success Factor and will have a thousand less kids than the next smallest 6A school.
  3. Center Grove-Cathedral Semi-State part deaux for Semi-State at Arlington in the snow is the game this board deserves.
  4. I’m on record saying I think IU goes 4-8 this year if that helps. In this thread even I think.
  5. I think Indiana CAN win 7 games next year, but wouldn't bet on it. Indiana is capable of beating: Illinois Idaho Western Kentucky Nebraska Maryland Rutgers Purdue And while I don't foresee Indiana beating Cincinnati or MSU on the road, those are two teams Indiana played extremely last year who will almost certainly take a big step back. I will be happy with bowl eligibility this year, and while it's definitely an uphill climb, it's not unrealistic.
  6. What is the story on this? Ohio letting more teams in the playoffs?
  7. Not questioning their talent, they have plenty. But unlike the last two years, they’re replacing almost 20 multi-year starters. That’s not always easy especially playing up two classes.
  8. Not sure Cathedral is THE favorite but definitely up there. Loaded at the skill positions but do have to replace the entire offensive line and 8-9 defensive starters.
  9. He’s a Purdue fan hoping IU keeps Allen forever. It’s funny because I had the same thoughts about Brohm until this year. Things can change in an instant. I’m calling you out because your statement is completely unfounded. When and if Yanni becomes an All-American and a first round draft pick you can then say they are comparable players. Yanni needs to worry about getting on the field first however.
  10. Yanni Karlaftis hasn’t played a down of collegiate football and will be lucky to crack the rotation this year as a RS Freshman. GK was not only a day 1 starter but an immediate impact player who was drafted in the first round. You’re setting yourself up for failure comparing the two because it just doesn’t exist.
  11. That's unfortunate. That run little St. Peter's went on was one of the more impressive things I've seen in quite awhile.
  12. NIL is going to start keeping players in college longer. A non-guaranteed first rd pick has the ability to make more in college than they potentially do in the G-League. The one and done rule has nothing to with the NCAA and is strictly on the NBA, players should be allowed to go professional straight from high school, it would alleviate part of that problem.
  13. Two things stick out. 1. How good is Luke Fickell? 2. Is there a coach in America who consistently does less with more than James Franklin? It’s embarrassing that he’s still employed.
  14. Probably a safe bet that 6A is going to close to permanent home for the Irish under this current sectional alignment. Looking forward to the challenge.
  15. He's got a good gig at Ohio State, but he's expendable. Brian Hartline is the most immeasurable piece to their coaching staff. Not sure the last recruiting battle he lost. @temptationcan vouch for the evil empire.
  16. Uh no. Brian Hartline is revered as the best wide receivers coach in college football and is easily the best recruiter Ohio State has. He's also the passing game coordinator. Ryan Day is the QB guy and has been his area of expertise since he's been in coaching. Kevin Wilson is an OL/TE guy. He's integral in scouting and game day preparation, nobody is refuting that. But the offense Ohio State runs is the same offense Ryan Day implemented when he was hired at Ohio State as the offensive coordinator. The offense is tailored by Day.
  17. I don't think he sits around with his thumb up his *** all day, never implied that and not sure where you're getting that from? But if you think Kevin Wilson is the innovator of that Ohio State offense, well then you haven't been paying attention.
  18. Not disputing he's a great offensive mind. But that is Ryan Day's offense and Ryan Day's offense alone.
  19. Disinformation from who? Do you really think Ohio State thought they were getting a 6’5 kid and we’re taken aback when a 6’3 Curry showed up on campus as if they’ve never seen or talked to him in person before???
  20. You’re looking way too deep into this. There’s no way OSU recruited Curry on the presumption of his ht/wt in the Center Grove game day program. Every high school kid in America fudges their ht/wt on the game day program to look bigger and badder. Our high school RB was 5’10 200 lbs who was 6 foot 225 lbs in the football program and 6’4 200 lbs 3 months later in the basketball program. This has been happening for 50+ years.
  21. @Groverok so you scoffed at my comment? What does Curry run the 40 in right now? What’s his 40 time realistically going to look like when he has to add the necessary 20-25 lbs to play at the next level?
