  1. Don't know anything about Frankfort other than they're a "4A school by enrollment only" per Muda. From a football perspective only, WeBo is a better fit in your proposed Lafayette conference.
  2. Commitment from Frankfort? Muda preaches every week how Frankfort would be better off playing co-op flag football.
  3. Purely from a fan perspective. Brownsburg likely falls a tier or two in the HCC hierarchy if Center Grove and Carmel join ship. Brownsburg moving to the MIC would give them an opportunity to finally become king of the hill in a conference and form geographical rivals with Pike and Ben Davis along with current rival Avon. I'm guessing Brownsburg is perfectly content in the HCC and will remain that way with whatever happens going forward. But a new alignment that adds Avon/Brownsburg/Franklin Central would be the best possible outcome for the MIC.
  4. What was the deal with Avon's football team this year? Saw they won one game? Young with a lot of roster turnover I take it? Avon's put out some serious D1 talent the last few years.
  5. Yep blew that lol. NC would stay in MIC making it a 9 team conference, although I do think NC does well enough in some of the non-revenue they could do alright in the HCC if they had to.
  6. Any idea on schools that are most resistant to adding Carmel/Center Grove? Purely from a fan standpoint I'd love to see a conference shake up between the HCC and MIC establishing new members as such: New HCC Carmel Center Grove Westfield Zionsville Fishers HSE Noblesville New MIC Warren Ben Davis Brownsburg Avon Franklin Central Pike Lawrence Central Lawrence North HCC could leave a spot open to potentially add an 8th member in Mt Vernon assuming they continue their rapid growth.
  7. Could we possibly be heading there? (One can only hope)
  8. They're both full of crap. Both can, and in this case are, true.
  9. He received a massive NIL deal via Barstool Sports who partners with Deion. This will become the norm sooner than later. Might actually drive some parity back to college football. https://nypost.com/2021/12/15/travis-hunters-flip-to-jackson-state-sparks-barstool-nil-rumors/amp/
  10. Yet you've been shouting from the rooftops for years about this move well before either of these isolated incidents occurred. This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the fact that the MIC doesn't pull their weight in regards to offering a competitive product to challenge CG or Carmel. Nothing more, nothing less.
  11. I don't know about no credibility, but yes, lost a ton of credibility. And yes it's total BS to claim that the MIC isn't athletically motivated. It's an athletic conference for crying out loud, it's why it exists. The MIC didn't want to get caught with their pants at their ankles when Carmel and CG inevitably bolted, so they acted and dressed up a bunch of BS to dance around the fact that Carmel and Center Grove were no longer being challenged athletically in their current conference. I don't want to hear this was an academic move either because Carmel and Center Grove (along with North Central) are by far and away the best academic schools in the MIC.
  12. I blame DT. Keeps serving it up on a platter.
  13. Don't believe Notre Dame ever offered Curry. Mr. Football can't be considered a "best player" award if you're not going to consider the kids choosing to play college football out of state. If you're good enough to play at Alabama and Ohio State, you're considered one of the best players in the country.
  14. Correct. This is nothing more than sour grapes. The MIC can rant and rave however they want, but this is going to hurt their athletic programs in the long run, especially in the two sports they still have a somewhat fighting chance in; football and basketball. With open-enrollment, I wouldn't be shocked to see more and more township kids leave the county to play in a much higher profile conference. Ben Davis and Warren will be hit the hardest in my opinion as if they weren't already.
  15. Academic initiatives? Can you clarify? And what exactly is the core mission and purpose of an athletic conference?
  16. What is the MIC supposed to say when their two breadwinners are looking to abandon ship? To say the MIC doesn't care about their athletic image is facetious at best. They care, there was just nothing they could do.
  17. We'll see what sympathy looks like when the MIC adds Tech and a school like Kokomo all while CG and Carmel are joining the best applicable conference in the state.
  18. A kid good enough to play at OSU or Alabama should be excluded from the award that "supposedly" crowns the state's best player? And you wonder why so many people think the award is a joke to begin with.
  19. Two years ago DT ascribed the Center Grove and Carmel's move to the HCC for the EXACT reason it is happening. This is why you can't take anything he says seriously. He doesn't believe a single word he says. It's all for show.
  20. Link? Monday was the first time I've ever seen Carmel and Center Grove publicly linked to the HCC in any kind of news publication. And that was after they were voted out of the MIC. Are you insinuating the MIC voted out Carmel and Center Grove based on dialogue on an internet message board where 99.9% of the users are anonymous? Perhaps that's why children are running the conference that is now about to fall into large irrelevancy. Carmel and Center Grove are the two largest and highest athletic profiles in the state. They will be fine.
  21. You're preaching to the choir unfortunately. DT could poll all 300 some head coaches in the state of Indiana and every single one of them would give a similar that Coach Peebles of Cathedral gave during his interview with DT, "I would never support such an idea".
  22. Lol. I’m going to table this post for future reference.
  23. Since it's apparently not about athletics anymore, MIC shouldn't struggle finding two new replacements so long as they're willing to downgrade. Tech makes the most sense and then adding one of Perry/Southport/Decatur Central does as well. I don't think traveling 3+ hours to play a Duneland or NIC school is conducive to the MIC.
  24. Again, how on Earth does a state-funded school go about charging tuition and accessing admission requirements?
  25. That decision should be left to the community and school administrators, not some blowhard on the GID.
