  1. My bad, 2012* Cathedral hasn't been in 4A since 2012 and likely will never play in 4A again.
  2. I don't know honestly. I would say on average they out 1-2 D1 players a class. Some years like last year it was none, this coming year they're going to have a ton.
  3. Cathedral has a very special senior class this coming year that could net anywhere from 5-10 D1 players. That's an exception, not the typical rule. This more likely than not will be the most talented top to bottom team Cathedral has fielded. Would be shocked if they didn't win 5A this year. Absolutely floored. But they soon be in 6A for the 22 and 23 seasons. They're set to lose some 40 seniors this year. Will be interesting to see how things shape up going forward.
  4. Or the year before and the year before that? Cathedral is a very, very good program. I think all can recognize that. But they aren't invincible, not by any stretch. Last year was an historic year, even for Cathedral's standards. But last years senior class didn't net a single FBS scholarship player. Not one.
  5. And they haven't and likely will never play in 4A again, they haven't since 2011. Cathedral will be in 6A starting in 2022 barring a colossal collapse in the tournament next year.
  6. Cathedral hasn't played in a 4A tournament since 2011. Why don't you relax a bit and sit the rest of this one out? Thanks
  7. Best in the country? You're so out of touch with reality. They're a very good Indiana football program. They struggle most years beating the Cincy and Cleveland catholic schools and would get absolutely waxed by the St. Thomas Aquinas, the Bishop Gorman's, and the Mater Dei's of the world. Please have some perspective. Cathedral had a very good year last year with a very special class and should be very good once again this year. But they have 1 title since 2014 and have been soundly beaten by likewise publics the last few tournaments.
  8. Cathedral or Center Grove or any other 6A team playing IMG to a 40 point rout on national television isn't good for Indiana High School football. The only reason IMG would have any interest in coming to Indiana would be for the sole purpose of developing a pipeline to recruit kids out of the state and down to FL. There's a reason why Georgia has banned their member schools from playing IMG.
  9. Cathedral will once again be in 6A next year. Cathedral is a 4A school playing up a class and hasn't played in their enrollment based classification in over a decade.
  10. Because it's inconducive to Cathedral, or any Indiana team for that matter, to play a school 1200 miles away when there's plenty of strong local and regional competition.
  11. IMG will have 25-30 D1 players on this years team alone. They have 4 of the 25 best seniors in the country. They will have around 15 major D1 football players, many who will attend whatever school they want. I'm not selling anyone short, just looking at reality. IMG would name the score against Cathedral or any team from Indiana for that matter.
  12. You're not getting off that easy. I think it'd be closer to 40.
  13. The IMG "National" team is barred from the Florida High School association postseason. The "Varsity" team isn't and plays in the tournament. Similar rule with the IHSAA, La Lumiere isn't considered a member and isn't allowed to play in IHSAA sanctioned tournaments. I know recently Center Grove, Cathedral, and Culver have all played La Lumiere. I believe La Lumiere played in a tournament hosted by Brownsburg a year or two back.
  14. I don’t think their obtusely ranking kids based on the perception of the state.
  15. It has nothing to do with being a northern state. Neighboring Ohio produces their fair share of 5 and 4* talent every year. IMG is a traveling, national all-star team where kids transfer to prepare for college life while training in the specific sport. A national all-star team is going to beat a local all-star team.
  16. You could pick the 75 best players in Indiana and they still wouldn't come within 3 TD's of IMG. Of the 250 top players in the 2022 class, IMG has 11. And that's just their senior class. Every single player on IMG's "National" team is garnishing D1 interest. And not just D1 interest, but major college football. IMG's entire offensive and defensive line will attend a P5 school.
  17. Will never understand how IMG and their 20-30 D1 athletes beating an Indiana school on national television by 4-5 scores is good for Indiana football. But that's just me.
  18. I know that. You said IHSAA basketball schools play out of state basketball academies. Which ones? When?
  19. What IHSAA schools play basketball academies over 1000+ miles from campus? La Lumiere isn't an IHSAA school. It's a basketball academy that just happens to be in Indiana.
  20. What about LN? LN played out of their mind for a half behind an extremely talented QB and still lost by multiple scores.
  21. You acknowledged Center Grove played a tougher schedule than Warren but discredited them from being in the conversation because they let “Cathedral and LN hang around” as if that is some kind of slight. Most of CG’s games were over by half time as well with the result known well before kick off.
