Explain his record against the top half of the B10 East the last 6 years? All that talent and no results until this year. Something isn’t adding up.

Cathedral to my knowledge is still under contract and I assume Carmel and Center Grove anticipate their rivalry continuing. Decatur has been the Trojans second week opponent the last few so there’s six right there. Center Grove is arguably the hottest commodity in the Midwest right now, zero reason to think they’d struggle adding a couple out of state opponents.

Center Grove would be better off scrimmaging themselves six times a season before joining Conference Indiana. Roncalli, Franklin Central, and Whiteland are solid south side schools that make sense from a scheduling standpoint.

Not sure using Tom Brady who played simultaneously with Jim Harbaugh in the NFL proves your point. I see Michigan players from Carr, Rich Rod, and Hoke all represented on that graph. So what? Harbaugh isn’t a great developer of talent nor a great recruiter. You can agree or disagree with that notion all you want. It doesn’t bother me.

I think you’re dramatically overstating things. Carmel/CG are only guaranteed 4-5 home regular season games a year anyway. Could host Cathedral and Chatard every year and not only would it be an upgrade in competition, but they travel better than almost every current MIC team. Same with Roncalli. Carmel and Center Grove playing home and aways against schools like Louisville Trinity or Cincinnati St. Xavier is good for the state. Guarantee you either of those schools brings more fans the 100 or so miles to Indy than Pike or North Central does.

Both schools will have the last laugh winning the 6A title as an independent instead of the HCC. How much gate revenue are HCC members potentially missing out on not including the two most prolific and visible athletic profiles in the state? Pretty wild that the three best football programs in the state now have no conference affiliation. Wonder if this will spark a new trend going forward?

Do OH and MI start their season the same week as Indiana? I think Ohio and Indiana started the same week this year but seem to recall in the past OH starting Labor Day Weekend. I know Cathedral in the past has played teams from OH for their second week opponent that was opening week for the OH opponent.

1. 2020 obviously counts as Harbaugh was forced to take a significant pay cut to stay employed. 2. Michigan fans care about winning their postseason games and 1-5 isn't going to cut it. 3. Won't argue any of that but at Michigan you're expected to beat your rivals. Losing to Ohio State is understandable given the talent they've had, but he's been flat embarrassed in a few of the games. A losing record to MSU isn't acceptable. 4. Most of Michigan's NFL players have come from the defensive side of the ball. Not sure how big of a role Harbaugh plays in developing DL and LB's, but as a former QB who is revered as a QB coach, Michigan has struggled immensely at the QB position since Harbaugh has taken over. I don't think Harbaugh is chopped liver. He likely is the best that Michigan can and will have as a coach. However, I think Harbaugh's greatest strength is X's and O's and is more suited for a role in the NFL where he doesn't have to worry about recruiting and player development. There's a reason why Saban and Meyer flopped in the NFL. Neither are fantastic play callers and don't have the luxury of recruiting the best talent every year. Harbaugh has shown to be a successful NFL head coach, something a lot of college coaches can't say.

Facts? Harbaugh's record is what it is. He's 61-24 since he's taken and over and while that's a solid record, it's not anywhere close to Michigan's expectations. And it looks worse the further you dig into it. 1-5 in bowl games and haven't won a bowl since 2015 1-6 against Ohio State 3-4 against Michigan State He's yet to develop an NFL caliber QB since he's been at Michigan. I think he's a way better X's and O's coach than he is at program building and that's better suited for a career in the NFL. I'm not entirely sure Michigan can do better than Harbaugh, but I believe Harbaugh is set up for better success in the NFL.

What's false? That he doesn't recruit particularly well or that he isn't a great developer of talent? For a supposed QB whisperer, he hasn't developed a QB while at Michigan and his recruiting is what it is. It's a reason why Harbaugh has beaten Ohio State exactly one time and has a losing record against Michigan State.

Harbaugh is a good fit for any NFL team. He’s a very good X’s and O’s coach. He struggles with recruiting and player development which aren’t at the top of the ladder or concerns for an NFL head coach. Surprised Harbaugh hasn’t gotten an extension after taking a huge pay cut only to finally lead Michigan to the playoffs, must mean the NFL talks are serious.

If there were empty seats, there were very few. There were empty seats most of the third quarter because the concession lines were a joke. IU was completely unprepared for the crowd at hand. They ran out of bottled water by half time and it was over 90 degrees.

Why wouldn't Terre Haute just consolidate a la Elkhart?

I'm not sure what all was in Kelly's contract. Notre Dame being a private school doesn't have to release or divulge into contract details or finances. I'm sure his contract was written similar to most big time college coaches, base salary with incentives and performance bonuses, etc.

I think Kelly was paid fairly at ND. He's a top 3 coach in college football and maximized his potential at ND. As Temptation and others have repeatedly stated, it's a numbers game in college football. The teams with the best talent win, period. There's no amount of money ND could pay Brian Kelly that would change ND's recruiting fortunes. They are limited in the type of recruits they can admit into the school.

Don't think $$$ was a factor for Kelly. Been venturing into some ND message boards and info coming out that Kelly's yearly compensation package the last few years has been between $7.5-$8.5 mil/yr. He was paid handsomely and one of the top paid coaches in college football.

Mental Illness is such a sensitive subject as it covers such a wide range of spectrum. But people can and absolutely do live with mental illness and don't act this way when they don't get want they want. Assuming Brown does have some mental illness, he'll likely never get the help that he truly needs if this kind of behavior is continually being enabled, which up until now it has.

Some pretty big busts on this list at the next level if you ask me. Just goes to show that recruiting rankings aren't everything. Sheldon Day has had a nice NFL career. Bell had a fantastic college career and should be a decade long player in the NFL assuming he stays healthy.

Right. He threw a huge temper tantrum yesterday. And while there may be something going on upstairs, people excusing Brown's actions and playing it off as mental illness is why AB has gotten as many free passes as he has. He knows exactly what he's doing and up until now (hopefully) he's always gotten away with it because he is continually enabled.

Seems like his most recent tantrum was money motivated. He felt jobbed that he was benched when he was in line to make over a million dollars in performance bonuses based on attainable stats. No doubt Antonio Brown has made a ton of money over his career but I question how much money he really has left and how much longer it's going to last him. That was a melt down for the ages and probably the last time you see him in an NFL uniform.

In your opinion do you think forward progress was stopped too early? I get it if it’s a QB and he’s been gain tackled behind the LOS, but on 4th and G from the 1 in OT, I think the progress was stopped way prematurely.

Gutsy win by Purdue given the opt outs and injuries. Still not sure Tennessee doesn’t score 100 in regulation with even a semi-competent QB. I counted six miss/overthrows by UT QB that should have been TD’s, not including the two on the last drive when they shouldn’t have been throwing deep in the first place. Heupel was terrible. Tennessee just can’t get out of its own way.
