  1. The red flags were there years prior and Warren Central still played them. I don't get it. As was stated in one of the articles, and was mentioned when Warren played them, they have guys playing for them that ran out of HS eligibility.
  2. Lake Central: Agree with the Andrean guy. Jury is still out. Munster and Morton are soft. I do think Good has the bones to turn Lake Central around. Noblesville: Very young team too. They play a lot of Sophomores and Juniors. The O-Line destroyed Mt. Vernon and THS. Looking forward to seeing how they fair against Fishers. The Millers play 7 OL in their Power Offense at the following sizes: 5'10 225 Sr, 5'11 315 Jr, 6'3 235 Sr, 6'3 325 Sr, 6'4 315 Jr, 6'6 285 Jr, 6'7 240 So. Lawrence Central: I have a feeling this is more of a case of Lafayette Jeff being way down. We shall see on Friday against LN. North Central: I am surprised they have been trending downwards. I would imagine coaching in blue blooded Washington Township can't be easy. My perception, which is often wrong, would be that Towship sends a lot of talent to Brebeuf, Chatard, and Cathedral. Warsaw: 2 years in a row that City has taken them to the woodshed. Coffman was routed by Division 2 Cincinnati Turpin last weekend. Maybe the Rocks just aren't that good this year. Knox: Radtke doesn't seem like the type who can adjust to mediocrity. I wouldn't be surprised if he went shopping for a new gig even though he's supposedly happy to be coaching back in rural Indiana. Hammond Morton: The 'Govs caught lightning in the bottle with Roydon Richards. They made their own bed when they forced him to resign even after the Department of Child Services cleared him of any wrong doing. He's rebounded nicely as Mason's DC in City. Meanwhile, Morton is cycling through coaches who can't replicate Roydon's success. Addition: Penn: Yikes. Just when you think the Kingsmen have hit rock bottom they go out and lose to LaPorte. The Slicers will be lucky to go .500 in an average Duneland Conference. This is the type of game that Penn used to win just by showing up. I wonder if Cathedral is now regretting putting Morton and Penn on their schedule. Both games should have Cathedral going to the bench by mid 2nd Quarter.
  3. I don't get Brownsburg. I watched the entire game and saw what I would consider a typical Brownsburg team in a game like this. They had the size and speed to match Ben Davis all over the field. IMO, it was clear Brownsburg didn't fear Ben Davis and was the aggressor. At some point the Bulldogs have to break through in the playoffs. How about the Millers? I watched all of that one as well. I won't put the cart in front of the horse as the road through the HCC will be a lot tougher than Mt. Vernon; however, it was nice to see the Millers dominate a solid Mt. Vernon team. Noblesville's secondary was swiss cheese early on as Mt. Vernon took 15-0 and 22-7 leads in the 1st Quarter. It was all Noblesville after that as the D tightened up and the enormous Miller O-Line was pancaking Marauders left and right. It was 50-22 late in the 3rd quarter when Noblesville started playing 2nd stringers in the secondary and Mt. Vernon put together 2 more nice drives. Noblesville racked up 588 rushing yards while tiny 5'5 Sophomore Logan Shoffner had 354 yards on the ground by bouncing behind the Noblesville O-Line and hitting the open field. My humble Power Rankings after Week 1: Brownsburg Westfield Hamilton Southeastern Avon Noblesville Fishers Zionsville Franklin Central
  4. I would expect Valpo and Michigan City to switch spots. Though Michigan City is probably more in the 7-10 range. Valpo has lost A LOT. Cathedral will obviously dominate the headlines in this group, but the interested storylines to me are: How does Columbus East fair in year 1 post Gaddis? Does New Pal return as a threat to Cathedral? Can Zionsville's D-1 laden O-Line stay healthy? Does Snider emerge as a threat to Cathedral?
  5. I would imagine that hatred runs deep into Business and Politics. Oklahoma will be interesting if OSU is left with no other options than to join up with Houston, Memphis, CIncinnati, etc. I could foresee a lot of new anomosity between those two schools. The OSU President already released a statement that slams OU.
  6. Yes. A lot of smoke around him. He has an awful reputation among college coaches as being dirty.
  7. Agreed regarding revenue share. I do think B1G schools take the academic accreditation seriously. The University of Chicago is still a member of the Big Ten Academic Alliance. I actually wouldn't be surprised if the Big Ten, ACC, and Pac 12 all stood firm.
  8. No and No. Two of the dirtiest coaches in College Basketball? Hard pass even if the new NIL rules make it easier for $elf.
  9. Oklahoma State is really the only leftover the B1G should consider. I think they have a great wrestling program as well. There's nothing to gain by adding Iowa State and the Kansas schools. At that point you're just adding for the purpose of adding. I'm targeting Notre Dame (obvious), Central Florida (largest Public school in Florida/access to Florida market), Georgia Tech (great academics/access to Atlanta market), A&M, and Missouri before trying to add Iowa State and the Kansas schools. I would extend feelers to the Virginia and Carolinas ACC schools before talking to Iowa State and the Kansas schools. The B1G payout per school dwarfs the ACC payout. One thing is for certain, the B1G could really use Delany right now to navigate the waters. Hopefully, Kevin Warren is consulting with him.
  10. That was a funny tweet from Brady. The Bucs defense is going to be phenomenal.
  11. 1. Doubt it. I would welcome them with open arms though. Personally, if looking for a bordering state, I think they're the best option. 2. Agreed. I am starting to wonder though if this is just a ploy for them to get more money out of the Big 12 as the two schools that clearly carry the conference. I can't wrap my head around the fact they would willing put their athletic programs into the meat grinder of the SEC. Men's basketball is really the only large revenue sport I can think of that wouldn't be at an immediate disadvantage. 3. Ugh. Boring. Rather see the Big Ten stand still than to admit those 3. 4. Not likely. I can't imagine the ultra libs in California, Washington, and Oregon partnering up with a conserviate Christian school in Texas as well as Oklahoma State. I would like to see the B1G give Oklahoma State a look. 5. Similiar to 4, TCU is isn't a cultulral fit with a majority of the Pac 12. Same with Texas Tech. Cal-Berkley fans will demand action from Pelosi after watching Cowboys and Red Raiders firing pretend guns. Should any Power Conference want them? I could see TCU, Texas Tech, and Baylor being forced to partner up with the American Athletic. 6. Same as 5. Not sure anyone is going to actively want West Virginia. They may be forced to join up with the American Athletic. 7. Texas A&M and Missouri: They left the Big 12 to escape Texas' arrogance. Will they leave the SEC if Texas comes? If so, they should be prime B1G targets. 8. Is all of this a mute point? I'm reading that 11 of the 14 SEC members would have to approve the addition. I can't imagine Arkansas, Missouri, and A&M will vote yes. Wil anyone else vote no? Arkansas gladly escaped Texas when they left the old Southwest for the SEC. 9. Do I have my head in the sand? Is this inevitable? Going back to 2. I can't believe this is actually happening. Just read that OU and Texas announced they are not renewing their grant of rights agreement with the Big 12. 10. I'm not entirely convinced this will lead to B1G, ACC, and Pac 12 expansion. The leftovers from the Big 12 are not highly desirable schools. I could see them being consumed by the Mountain West/American Athletic or see a new Conference develop from a mix of those Conferences along with the remaining BIg 12 members. I rather bring on Central Florida, Notre Dame, or raid the ACC than accept any of the Big 12 rejects.
  12. This makes zero sense to me unless OU and Texas already know a massive re-alignment is inevitable that results in 4 mega conferences that break away from the NCAA.
  13. I was 20 in the Fall of '99 (1st Year Post Howell) and happened to be in Hobart visiting a special lady friend a few days before classes resumed at Purdue in August. An adult, thinking I was a Hobart High Student, looked at me in disgust and asked why I wasn't at football practice. I'm sensing a place like Center Grove has the same vibe.
  14. The 4th would have been the kid from Morton that transferred in. He signed with Bowling Green. Lavarion Logan would possibly give them 5. He seems like a fringe non P5 recruit this year. Maybe someone like Ball State, Northern Illinois, or Western Michigan would take a flyer on him. The Duneland should be interesting this year. We'll see if Seiss and Marshall can rebuild or take a step back now that generational talent/transfers are out the door. What can Buzea do with Crown Point in year 1? Michigan City could be in a prime spot for a 5A run. Can Good make an immediate impact at Lake Central? The DAC doesn't have a legit State Title contender, but the story lines will be really good this year.
  15. 53% Hispanic, wow! I would never guess that's possible in an Indiana district that isn't Hammond, East Chicago, or IPS.
  16. Looking forward to your scoop! I've driven by the High School a few times and the new stadium is looking very nice. My initial thought is the home seating is very similiar in size to Center Grove's upgrade. Also, I've heard Noblesville has 2 D1 caliber lineman on the O-Line. Going to be interesting to see if they can help Sharpe's run game prosper.
  17. Took 2nd in the 110 Meter Hurdles and won State in the Long Jump. Sounds like a solid athlete.
  18. Probably a combination of a good sales pitch, pressure, and an immature young adult getting caught up in the excitement of a good visit. Regarding pressure to not be left behind, I would think someone like Curry knows Purdue or IU will have a spot open whenever he wants to commit. Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Clemson, etc., have other 4 or 5 star recruits with the same offer. At some point they these schools can’t find room for everyone of the elite prospects they’re taking.
  19. That tweet is a little vague. Did all 4 of them transfer into Center Grove?
  20. Well, I'll say I admire your passion for Franklin Central football. But, how do you measure when a teams season is ruined or who the most improved team in the state is?
  21. Forget new stadium, juse the idea of the McCaskey's selling the team is incredible. The best part is business wise it makes sense. I don't believe the McCaskey family has acquired any sort of substantial wealth outside of the NFL. The only way they cash in on their inherited wealth through Virginia is to sell the team. Pat Ryan, a Chicago billionaire, current Bears board member, namesake of Northwestern's Ryan Field and Welsh Ryan Arena, has first refusal rights if the Bears to go on the market.
  22. Offered by Ohio State yesterday. The 2022 Class in Indiana is DEEP.

  23. Sorry, I wasn't trying to marganalize his experience in Cincinnati. Just saying he never saw playing time and I'm assuming he transferred to Carbondale for that reason.
  24. This! We (Indiana as a whole) already do a good job of getting Ohio and Louisville teams on the schedule. I would love to see more games against Chicagoland teams. Chatard was supposed to play Joliet Catholic last year as well as Andrean was going to play Immaculate Catholic from the Western 'Burbs. The following games would be more enjoyable to me than IMG embarrassing an Indiana school: Carmel vs. 1 of the 3 Naperville schools (North, Central, Neuqua Valley) Carmel vs. Lincolnway-East Center Grove vs. Glenbard West or St. Rita Warren Central vs. Warren Township Cathedral vs. Loyola Academy or Mt. Carmel Ben Davis vs. East St. Louis Merrillville vs. Homewood-Floosmoor Penn vs. Maine South Cathedral vs. Nazareth Academy Chatard vs. Marist
