  1. Wagner did conditioning, and he inspired me as a coach and a player. He had this drill where we would jump over yard markers, and at first I wasn't fast enough for him. That enraged me so much I purchased a yard marker and did the drill independently in my back yard until I was fast enough to beat the other linemen in the drill. When I coached, I did a modified version of the drill- we used tackling dummies instead, and I did it with my players.
  2. When your only option is a private school, as the case is in Bedford, you don't have a choice. CCSD has options for the expelled- behavior school is one of them.
  3. When I see that study, I think back to my childhood and the private schools in Bedford. Both St. Vincent and Stonce City Christian would take the kids NLCS expelled, because tuition dollars are tuition dollars. I now see the same thing in my adulthood in Las Vegas, where Democracy Prep @ The Agassi Campus takes in the kids CCSD expelled, because tuition dollars are tuition dollars.
  4. When your daughter's life is on the line, your tune will change.
  5. That's assuming the win will be easy. Week 8 games are different than Week 1 games.
  6. You know what other school also has a non-conference opening in Week 8? BNL. BHSS could fill that after this year.

  8. Too much of a pay cut, even after NLCS gave raises.
  9. 10. ... and there were certain 2A coaches who were smart and played up, and I mean Jerry Brewer of course.
  11. I do, yes. ... and they also packed their schedule with clods during the qualifier era. Dullaghan was smart to do it. I'd have done the same.
  12. That was, effectively, a requirement to make the playoffs.
  13. One school is a wealthy suburban school, and the other is one of the largest in Indiana. I’m not saying he was a bad coach, but I am saying his schedule helped Carmel make the playoffs. Writing a schedule is part of a coach’s duties.
  14. ... because he was smart enough to pack his schedule with clods?
  15. When I am running for public office, I will never use pronouns, as Tories, like you, will twist the meanings behind the pronouns.
  16. Is this why Carmel always qualified for the playoffs?
  17. Consolidation? No doubt, he brought home a Sectional title, BNL's first. But, he didn't make the long-term changes needed for the program.
  18. No, but I cannot imagine why the board would non-renew him. Weber played a significantly tougher schedule, led turf deployment at BNL Stadium, and unified the MS football programs, all of which needed to be done earlier. Some people are always looking for their next school.
