Springs Valley has 4 sectional titles. 88, 89, 90, 92. Went to state in 89.

Providence is struggling to schedule. Already cant find week i and would lose week 9. Already play 2 indy schools. Tough going. Valley to JC would be about 1.5 hrs. Is a haul but scheduling only gets harder. With MSC having so few weeks open.

Some are already being worked on. Pretty sure Salem and Madison will play week 5 with Springs Valley taking Jennings County that week

First implementation for me would be covering all Youth League cost for the conference. Alot of other things too but id start there.

Last I knew SV didn't have a game on OCT 12. Perry cancelled JV season. At 1 point I heard maybe Linton but nothing official as far as I know

Watched a little Crawford this week. Seen they were running flexbone. After the Mitchell game its Valley, Paoli, and WW all in row. Just win 1 and they may be looking at 6-3.

Scrolling through harrells and being a more southern IN guy thought I'd give a couple shout outs to team who may not have been noticed yet. 1. Switzerland County Pacers. 4-0 for just 2nd time in school history and last night got first ever win against Milan. The school record is 6 wins but could see 8-1 season. Hugh test against North Decatur next week. Common for both is Milan both had similar scores. 2. Crawford County Wolfpack. 3-1 and lone loss is to above Pacers. Got first conference win in 10(!) Years and first ever win against Perry Central. Program started in 07 and this is only 2nd time they have seen 3 wins with school record being 4 in 2008. They have a decent chance to break that and maybe see schools first ever winning record. 3. Edgewood Mustangs. 4-0 and a win over what was 1A #1 South Putnam. Already the most wins since 2019 (8) which was also last time they beat Putnam. They won total of 4 games last 2 years. Probably more out there but find these stood out. Especially CC who is my conference. Good on these 3 teams and coaches getting a heck of a start on the season

Also got smacked by 2 1A schools. (Lutheran enrollment wise). Losing...fine...I get it. But I never thought Providence would put up 49 and beat them they way they did. I know nothing of big boy football just surprised me to say the least.

During the time away I have realized New Albany is in fact....that bad. Damn.

On the other side of things Valley beat Paoli for first time in 10 years. Was a fun game to watch. Also 99% probability they win conference for first time since 2003. Really good group of kids who still have another 2 to 3 years on top before a possibility of number hampering them. WW offense still struggles as they adjust to 4th offense in 5 years. Shout out to Crawford County on first conference win in 10 years and 1 ever against Perry. Crazy what's going on at Perry Central. Never thought I'd see the day. PLAC POWER RANKINGS 1. I see alot of people picking Providence? I know New Albany is no power but are they that bad? Providence lost alot and will have a first time starter in Soph QB. I dont know a ton about either but hard to fathom Providence will have more speed and that's how they won alot of games I watched previous seasons

Crazy Salem has lowest numbers? Pekin had around 42 or so during scrimmage with SV. Think it was 17 freshman.

I'll be curious about Providence. They lost some main guys including the QB. He will be extremely hard to replace

I really like this concept. 2 games on same day. Counties should do this if they have a way. Like Washington County has 3 teams (none of them in same conference anymore). Find a fourth and see if you can work something out.

Salem has named Roger Pennington as interm HC after Glesing needing to resign.

Seen a post where Pekin and Mitchell had a scrimmage. Anybody else got some scrimmages coming up? Im looking to catch some action! Haha

Hope all the summers are going well. Seen where Brownstown is going to reitz rumble with 38 other teams across 4 states for 7 on 7. Seems like a crazy event. Good luck to them!

It's turf. I did find more info on it. Adding visiting side bleachers as well. When my kid played their for JR high couple years ago i said it felt like playing at a local park. Think new scoreboard going in as well.
