Mid major speedster from a team that never made it outta sectionals goes in the 2nd rd..the dream lives on..

Its a few months until the season..any banter/talk is welcomed imo..it will be intriguing to see the tigers take on wc. Bart ball may make it interesting..programs go through good cycles n maybe whs has 2 good classes (or 4). Kudos for stepping up their competition to a higher level..

I believe Jaylon entered his junior season as a 5 star guy being no.1 in the state n either 5th or 3rd in the nation..

More classes=more rings= more participation =more money..regular season n solid programs will still help mold our youth..just now they have higher probability for hardware..we keep adding classes, other states will never know ..I always think the 8a contestants would beat 4a contestants in other states title games without doing any homework... watered down Gatorade still quenches thirst..

7a could possibly bring more money..we had 5..now 6..has to be an end point somewhere..right? Not sure what the numbers were when it was only 5 classes as far as teams outside naptown winning on average..or when it was 3 classes..it was at one point 3 correct?

After seeing them takeout LN I became a believer..two big 10 recruits in ur starting 5 can do that though..

It happens..wont be the last time an upset occurs..overconfidence may have been in play..hence no discussion on the game site..congrats to the eagles on a good run.

So zionsville is the one to watch for about 5 or 6 yrs from now..the run they're having this year could pay dividends on their feeder programs as well

@temptation I concur...if they can put together something special I'd give them a 10% chance at least..out of all classes 6a has the least parity..if Elkhart does not consolidate... zionsville is 6a this year..although imho valpo the gets the red this year for 5a..i wonder if the two conferences will ever readjust/realign..seeing Avon or brownsburg playing mic schools could escalate their competitive nature..dont see a 6a north team winning unless it's a very special team..if that happens I'll gladly admit i was wrong..

U think the hcc will stop the mic trend in the next decade? I'm wondering what the magic number is..cg still around 2500 enrollment? Also putting Carmel in the south gives a few programs the chance at a "Hoosier " upset.. what programs do u see stopping this trend? Yes..id apply..! Lbs..we need a few more hundred dollar handshakes around these parts..obviously

Sf will play a role in the upcoming years as it did a few years back..to have a solid 4 or 5 year run would be impeccable..thats what it would take for a 6a title..i think if center grove wins they will have the smallest pop. to win a 6a title..the Trojans have won b4 though so I'm probably wrong..snider would need to be on that type of level...imho

The sac has to have 2 semi state participants at least..if not..others will lay claim to top 3 notoriety

6a has 32 teams..25% reside in the mic..if I were a betting man id take them in 95% of the games against the rest of the state..bottom dwellers might compete with n beat "elite" programs of smaller build..

Always thought the SF was brought in to break up the dynasties being created..2 year cycle definitely can dismantle a solid 4yr run..

Being familiar with opponents may help programs win games..or at least be competitive..carrol n homestead are still attempting to build a postseason culture..knew their first meeting (I think) would be eye opening..
