  1. We were informed at the IFCA clinic in March that regulations are being handed down to the other sports. According to Robert Faulkens, football did their job and no other sport did. The IHSAA will be handing down the summer rules to the other sports
  2. I'm sure they are doing their best. Just like Hamilton Heights the last four years.
  3. I think this might work for 2A North. Sectional 33 would have 7 with a bye. 33 - Whiting, Bishop Noll, Lake Station Edison, Andrean, Wheeler, Laville, Bremen 34 - Delphi, Pioneer, Winamac, Rochester, Cass, Wabash, Manchester, Whitko 35 - Prairie Heights, Eastside, Churubusco, Central Noble, Luers, Bluffton, Eastbrook, Blackford 36 - Eastern (Greentown), Tipton, Elwood, Frankton, Alexandria, Lapel, Winchester, Shenandoah
  4. This makes sense to me in the 2A North. Sectional 33 would have 7 with a bye. 33 - Whiting, Bishop Noll, Lake Station Edison, Andrean, Wheeler, Laville, Bremen 34 - Delphi, Pioneer, Winamac, Rochester, Cass, Wabash, Manchester, Whitko 35 - Prairie Heights, Eastside, Churubusco, Central Noble, Luers, Bluffton, Eastbrook 36 - Eastern (Greentown), Tipton, Elwood, Frankton, Alexandria, Lapel, Winchester, Blackford
  5. It is perplexing. I think you could make the argument that any team that won a state championship last year should move up.
  6. I would just want the track guys to have the opportunity to participate if they wanted. Having it during track would not allow them the opportunity.
  7. Limited contact starts today and runs through May 14.
  8. Varsity Coaches coaching kids in their system outside of limited contact period. It really only effects the kids in grades 8-11 or 9-11. I thought this is why limited contact periods were created.
  9. Example, varsity wrestling coaches holding club practice in high school wrestling room with kids grades 5-11 two weeks after varsity wrestling season is over. It is not during limited contact period.
  10. Where do club and Varsity sport lines cross? I see "clubs" practicing all the time. Varsity coaches instructing all ages of kids including varsity age participants. It is like the rules don't apply. Club status makes it ok? or is this a fine line that is being walked? Any insight?
  11. As far as the north goes, I think you are spot on. i don't know the south well enough to evaluate. It makes sense what you did in the north, so the IHSAA will probably find a way to shuffle it up. The will at least make it so Eastbrook isn't in the same sectional as Luers.
  12. Ok, I will go real slow so you can keep up. There were 30 teams in 6A last year and 37 in 5A. That is not 32 and 32. Two 6A programs were in the Sectional finals without playing a game. This is not balanced.
  13. Man, get with what we are talking about. They are trying to make the classes more balanced. They do not want a team to go over two weeks without playing. Everybody knows the 32/64 number.
  14. i think they released a more recent statement about trying to equal out the classes better. Not sure what that means.
  15. I don't think they gave data from the wrong year. I can't recall Bremen ever having that high of an enrollment. I find it interesting that the IHSAA keeps the announcement up on their website, but they remove the document linked to it. Wouldn't it remove some confusion if they released a statement about the situation.
  16. Would Andrean qualify for a bump because of SF? They just won a state title. It would be very messed up in my opinion if Pioneer stays up because of success points and Andrean stays in 2A because of enrollment.
  17. One number that threw up a red flag to me was the Bremen enrollment. If their number was accurate, that firmly places them in 3a.
