So he's batting .333, with Cignetti at 1.000. Harbaugh's a good coach, but so is Cignetti. Just say it. Also admit that you're just here to ruffle ND's fans feathers. I don't blame ya, it's fun. But deep down, I know that you know that Notre Dame is pretty damn good this year. 1 Quote

Cignetti is good, Harbaugh is great. I mean, Harbaugh’s successor just went into Columbus and did what Cignetti’s team couldn’t a week prior, with a walk on QB and 11 new offensive starters…sometimes you gotta send big brother in to take on the bully who beat you up. As for Notre Dame, I’ll reserve judgment until they beat a ranked team that isn’t a service academy. We gonna compare Bud Wright to Harbaugh next? Edited December 6, 2024 by temptation Quote

Pretty impressive that the committee thinks so highy of a guy who's never beaten a ranked team. That's magical, superhuman if you will. Quote

Hell, Michigan’s worst team in 15 years just shut down what Urban Meyer deemed “Ohio State’s most talented team ever” earlier this season. $20+ million, lol. Hoping James Franklin and Ryan Day do just enough to keep their jobs. Edited December 6, 2024 by temptation 1 Quote

Hoping James Franklin and Ryan Day do just enough to keep their jobs. We're making progress. We both agree that: 1. Both Cignetti and Harbaugh are great coaches. You won't say it, but I know you believe it. 2. The twelve team playoff seems a little overrated now after spending two years being excited about it. 3. Ryan Day and James Franklin are both overrated and it would be in Indiana and Michigan's best interest if they retain their jobs. 4. Hillarious that Ohio State couldn't beat Michigan this year. Quote

Can't compare a guy who has won at the highest level to a guy who has won at the FCS level and has had one year of success in the power 4...and you know it. Now, can Cignetti get there in the next few years? Sure. Not gonna dodge Penn State and Oregon and get a down Michigan every season. If we are gonna use "great" to describe Cignetti we need another superlative to describe Harbaugh. Edited December 6, 2024 by temptation 1 Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Q: What’s the situation with the NIL collective? A: I don’t know. That’s one of the things I told Mike. I appreciate the heck out of Mike and love him for giving me this opportunity and really being somebody that I could confide in. One of the things I told him while I was walking out is what Purdue needs to be successful. Take the schedule. You ask the donors: “Who do you want us to beat?” You gotta tell them exactly what’s in those opponents’ collectives and say: “If you want us to beat those guys, we’ve got to beat them in every arena.” I know sometimes Purdue kind of wants to do it the Purdue way, which I completely agree with, which is blue collar, sort of the underdog story. But when you’re talking about professional sports, and this is professional sports, you’re not asking the Oakland A’s to go beat the New York Yankees. And so you gotta at least get close to what other people are playing with. Quote

Jim got a title at FBS....Jack a title at FCS. (Western Ky at the time was FCS) My guess is that Jim and John both will tell you they owe everything to their Dad...especially their coaching abilities. Eddie Robinson is one of the best coaches in the history of college football. Grambling is a FCS school. I think you have an issue with thinking bigger is always better..... Quote

So does…ah never mind. Attempting to put Cignetti in the same category as a guy who has won a national title, succeeded at three levels including turning around a team overnight and nearly winning the Super Bowl is wild. Its been one hell of a fall for IU fans but stop drinking so heavily. They don’t even have a game this weekend. Edited December 6, 2024 by temptation Quote

Called him a "clown" I recall. It doesn't even matter if IU wins a playoff game. This season will go down as one of the greatest turn around stories of all time. It's not like this is a one off, he's won everywhere he's been...........google him. 1 Quote

Also, later called my own guy a clown. We will see if it’s a one off…next year. Quote
