It may be hard to believe these days, but historically South Spencer is 2nd (to Southridge) in number of wins against us....

History Of The Matchup

South Spencer (1-2) @ Heritage Hills (2-1)

Heritage Hills - The Jungle - Lincoln City, IN

Friday, September 13, 2024

7:00 pm CST Kickoff

This is the 54th meeting between Heritage Hills and South Spencer.

The Patriots lead the overall series 41-12.

This season the Patriots are averaging 29.3 ppg (points per game) and giving up 16.3 ppg, while the Rebels average 28.0 ppg and are giving up 30.3 ppg.

The 12 wins that South Spencer has over Heritage Hills is second to Southridge for the most wins of any opponent against the Patriots. South Spencer is one of only three teams that have been on the Patriot football schedule at least once, every year, since their inaugural season in 1972.

Like many of the Patriot's opponents, the Rebels dominated the Patriots in the early days of the series winning 5 of the first 7 meetings. The Patriots went on to win 4 of the next 5 games to tie the series up at 6-6. The Rebels would regain the series lead 7-6 with an overtime win in 1984 and the series would remain tightly contested through the first 21 meetings. After a Rebel win in 1991, the Patriots led the series by a slim 11-10 margin. After that loss the Patriots won the next 19 meetings before the Rebels ended the streak with a 14-0 win in 2011. The Patriots have won 11 out of the last 12 games since the loss in 2011.

PACK THE JUNGLE this Friday to cheer for the RED, WHITE, & BLUE!

Tough week for the Titans @ home after winning 23 straight games at THE JEWELL.  The South Warren Spartans are ranked 4th in the Kentucky High School Football Media Poll 5A division. On MaxPreps they’re ranked 9th in the entire state.  Look for the Spartans to keep the ball in the hands of Three Star 6'3" 198lb Eastern Michigan commit Bryce Button.  The Spartans have a big aggressive D line and crazy speed in the back half of the defense.

The last three matchups have went like this:

2021 – at South Warren 42-7; Spartans win.

2022 – at Gibson Southern 28-24; Titans win.

2023 – at South Warren 45-28; Spartans win.  (The Titans came roaring back in this one after giving up 3 special teams scores)

Don't sleep on the TC/ North Posey game.  I see Tell City and the Terry boys running away with the big W.  Should be a good one!

Yeah, TC ought to pull this off.  We will find out about Tell City when they play Southridge.

Our kids played well last night and Titan nation should be very proud.  Next up Southridge.

I'd consider that a win.  They competed, and if you are healthy, it is a win (kind of).

The Tell City north posey game was 20-14 with 5 mins left in the game but Tc just had too many key players out. Braxton Beiver was out due to an injury last week so that lost Tell City their Fullback and DE also the starting right tackle being out Bell. Noah went down in the 2nd quarter, it was definitely scary. He hyperextended his knee and will go in tomorrow for an MRI according to his mom’s Facebook post. I Would Really hate to see their season fall apart after all the hard work they’ve put in. On a positive note I seen some good things out of some future starters. Casebolt will be a Beast when his time comes.
