Wondered if and when East Central would make it onto the list.

They were on the list preseason but when I saw what Dwenger did against Moeller and compared it to East Central, I had pause.

23 game winning streak against in state teams.

New Pal seems high. You must really like their win over Greenfield Central.

I mean, Greenfield and Mount Vernon are not slouches and New Pal ran them off the field.

Then you add in what Decatur Central has done since that head scratcher in week 1 and New Pal as a top 10 team makes sense to me.  Those two were tied at 21 before the game was called.

I could see New Pal putting a scare into teams ranked outside of that top 5.

I'll take your word for it. There's just a lot of good 6A teams. Do you REALLY think there are 25 teams better than Noblesville?

Carmel?

I have a hard time thinking DC would beat Carmel, Snider (the new offense), Noblesville, Zionsville, or Mishawaka. Just my take.

Once again…gotta win games.  Not just gonna shuffle around the bottom half HCC teams weekly.

You just cannot lose to Brebeuf…sorry.

They’ll get their chances with the upcoming schedule.

I had tons of respect for Plainfield (not as much as the other polls I mind you) after 5 weeks and Decatur Central ran em the field on their homecoming yesterday afternoon.

DC had to have underestimated (not making excuses) what has turned out to be a damn fine team in Columbus North in week 1…

They, along with Fishers, seem to have put their head scratching loss behind them and are playing great ball right now.

Hopefully. I want to see a good 5A championship game this year. Wouldn't mind seeing them or Merrillville get it done........or Warsaw.

New Pal has played exactly one (1) team ranked in the Top 2000 in the nation (Decatur Central) and they tied them. BCHS, Martinsville, Roncalli and Brebeuf have all have higher quality wins. Head to head and common opponents (without head to head) are the best comparison tools. Martinsville beat DC by one point. Objectively, Martinsville, DC and New Pal are all equal. New Pal probably belongs closer to 17.

Now, I am not going to tell you Snider is a top 10 team one bit, but Decatur Central, Mishawaka, Evansville Memorial, and Concord just would not beat Snider.

Can’t really argue but when you lose by 3+ touchdowns and have zero quality wins on your resume it’s hard to give you the benefit of any doubt.

Shaping up to be an ingesting sectional 2.

Where do you have Ben Davis? Using that rational, a 1-5 team that has zero quality wins shouldn’t even dream of sniffing the top 25

I think Mishawaka and Snider are dead even. If Snider runs the same offense they did against Homestead, they're a Top 15 team. Run/pass ratio can't exceed 4:1 and Landen Fry needs to continue leading the way. Great move by the Snider staff.

They aren’t sniffing it.

I'd like to see how Northrop matches up against Elkhart with their starting QB healthy. I'll still take Elkhart with the win though. I think this sectional comes down to the Carroll/Snider rematch. But neither team is good enough to beat Elkhart showing up half asleep.

A few wins should out them in sniffers row I would think

Eh, this week’s game against Carmel may move the needle a bit but unless they somehow shock Brownsburg in the sectional, I think we’ve seen the last of BD in Temp’s Top 25.

BD is looking at 3-6 realistically. Loss to Carmel to go 1-6 and then Lawrence Central and North Central likely wins. Sorry, they aren’t beating Brownsburg, no how, no way

Let’s discuss the conundrum of Warren Central. Their best win is Snider yet they are #6. Who are they beating in the top 10? 20+ turnovers in 6 games. Lawrence North is up next week and I see a loss coming for Warren. Hey, maybe they prove me wrong, but LN just pounded Ben Davis and dropped 58 points on them while Warren squeaked by BD by 3 points in double overtime. Very interested to see this game
