Curious….what changed in 2 days?  Pretty big swing….

O for 2 so far!  I hope you're correct for the next game.  I don't believe anyone thought the "U" would handle tOSU like that.  Texas Tech was just no match for Oregon.

I was honestly 50/50 on the OSU/Miami game. When I made those predictions, I was solely going off of a level playing field. I'm not so sure this round is a level playing field. I just think the team with the tune-up game has the advantage.

At the end of the day, anyone who didn't think Miami had a chance against Ohio State just wasn't paying attention in my opinion. I cite Vegas regularly, and they saw something in having OSU as a 9pt favorite. Maybe I was just lucky in my prediction, but they've been playing lights out lately. Wouldn't surprise me if they ended up the national champions. I don't think they will be, but it wouldn't surprise me one iota. The Notre Dame thing really pissed them off, and they are playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Hope you're right, just have a bad feeling. Alabama's tune-up game last week is a MAJOR advantage. What other sport tells you to take a four week vacation before the playoffs start while giving your opponent a warm-up game?

How is that feeling now?

Feeling better about the Hoosiers, but this is a four quarter game.

True, but this ain't Oklahoma either. 🙂

I don’t disagree, but imagine making that statement about IU and Oklahoma football just 2-3 years ago.  Man has college football changed.

No doubt....Herbstreit talked about that in detail about folks watching Indiana in this spot. I said it in another post, IU's success has saved the college game in this current environment....for however long the game lasts.

@Bash Riprock

The same gut feeling I had with Miami beating Ohio State. Thinking more and more about how the extra week off affects teams. This is really a tough game to predict. Would IU be a 6 point favorite if they were 11-2? They are merely inches from having that record.

Just saying just 2 days earlier, you had IU by 10 points….thats larger than the Vegas spread, which by the way you refer as accurate. (At least for ND)

Game isn’t over…but big swing quickly. I figured you were just trolling or started hitting grandpa’s cough medicine early yesterday.

I feel like your primary goal is to reel me in with Notre Dame conversation. I'm done with that, so you can stop anytime.

I have a lot of respect for Vegas. Which is why I referred to myself as lucky with the Miami pick. I'll never claim to be smarter than Vegas. I just happen to think Miami is a team on a mission. Regarding Indiana, my pick a few days ago reflected common sense based on coaching and body of work (not taking into consideration the bye week). My gut feeling yesterday had everything to do with:

1. Indiana's bye week and Alabama's opportunity to have a warm-up game.

2. The SEC being underestimated after a slow start to the bowl season.

Fact of the matter is, the SEC is massively overrated and Indiana is proving that today. You keep citing games that prove the committee being right about taking Miami over ND. But this was never about Miami in my opinion, for the twentieth time. It was always about Alabama. So thank you Hoosiers, this game just proves to me that Notre Dame was better than both Alabama and Oklahoma (5.5 point favorite over the Sooners.) I've said it twenty times, five SEC teams never should have leapfrogged Notre Dame. This is an ESPN thing. Georgia is the only team in the SEC that could potentially beat the Irish, as I've said all along.

Now, we going to keep doing this? Or you going to just concern yourself with your Hoosiers and move on?

Sidenote: I stand my my second prediction of Bama over IU. I missed that MASSIVELY.

Zero talk about ND. Just applying the logic about Vegas that you’ve spewed endlessly on this forum and noticing how it didn’t seem to apply with IU as it does for ND.

Just trying to figure out your logic in making a big swing in 2 days. You explained it. Thanks

I missed IU massively. I made a comment a couple of week ago regarding those who doubt the Hoosiers. Then I turned around and did it myself. But I'm thoroughly enjoying watching Indiana make me look like an idiot and I hope they go all the way to a title.

Dude, I told you IU would win rather easily. Indiana is really freaking good. Making Bama look like a lower tier D3 team. Took their heart and stomped it

You did, you called it. Kudos. But what happened to Ohio State "freight training" Miami? Sorry man, gotta bust your balls a little on that call.

Ok, without the pick 6, Ohio State wins that game, but you’re right. I have been riding the Hoosiers all year

Agree, I think Ohio State was a bit rusty coming off the bye week. And not quite sure why Day took over the play calling duties.

IU being the first team with a bye in seven tries to win a game goes to show how big the gap is between IU's coaching staff and everyone else. This is unreal.

This was a big time butt whoopin'!  I can't wait to hear how Finebaum spins this one!  Maybe 'Bama fans will have some more respect for IU if they ever play again!

Was messaging my brothers….I don’t get the fascination with that play. Even IU ran it early and almost paid for it. Even in the NFL, it’s one of my biggest criticisms of LaFleur. Defenses are built for speed, and plays like that play right into the hands of the defense. Even the 4th and short early, Alabama ran wide instead of straight ahead. It has happened in so many games this year.

I may have to watch Finebaum for the first time all year.

Yeah, I don't watch him much either, but tomorrow, or whenever he appears, I will have the DVR rolling!  That would be humbling for some SEC folks, but not Finebaum, he'll be making excuses galore!

More work to be done for the Hoosiers!  I don't believe Coach Cig will let 'em celebrate too much!  This is only the first step!
