Indiana, Butler, and Notre Dame have fallen to average status. In football you have Notre Dame and IU, two of the best programs in the country. Marian and St. Francis have had recent success at the NAIA level. Indianapolis high schools more than hold their own against teams from Cincinnati. Dwenger took care of business against a traditional power out of Toledo last season. Quote

I've only seen six games being rescheduled due to IU-Oregon, and all but one are in central or southern parts of the state where IU seems to have a much larger fan presence. Here in the Clinton county the North Putnam @ Frankfort contests, both Boys and Girls varsity games, will be played as planned. 1 Quote

Irishman Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Incredible first half. I thought IU would win by a wider margin than they did in October, but damn, I did not see this Quote

It will be closer than Alabama, but Indiana is better offensively and defensively than Oregon. As always, turnovers are key, but I see this as a 35-17 Indiana win. Take away the pick 6 and the Ducks scored 13 points against IU the first time on their home field. Got IU's first half score right. What do you got for the second half? 😄 1 Quote
23andCounting Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Honest question for the IU die hards. No right or wrong answer. Indiana has taken a back seat to Notre Dame in football for 137 years. Would this year have been just a little sweeter had they gone through the Irish to get here? Quote

PHJIrish Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) Pretty good first half for the Hoosiers, and they get the ball first in the 2nd half. I'm listening to Don Fischer on the radio, after muting the TV. I just can't listen to Sleepy Sean. Fish is having some fun! I hope he continues to do so! Edited January 10 by PHJIrish Quote

I'm not taking away from IU right now. They are a team of destiny. I asked if it would have been sweeter had they gone through Notre Dame. Quote

Irishman Posted January 10 Posted January 10 IU vs. Miami 8 minutes to go in the semifinal. I feel pretty sure now IU has this lockedc up. On to Miami. Crazy to think the number 1 team plays at the home of the number 10 team. I really do not think it matters though. It might be close early, but Miami got beat up pretty good against Ole Miss. And their defense was gassed most of the 4th quarter. I think IU wins by at least 17 points. 1 Quote
