Bash Riprock Posted January 18 Posted January 18 And it’s tough to stomach the “rules analyst” on TV coverage who will typically side with the field crew. Said he felt in this case, the grab and pull “wasn’t enough” to warrant the PI call. Yet arguably it was more obvious than the first PI call against the Bills in OT. 1 Quote
Irishman Posted January 18 Author Posted January 18 I think the TV folks on every network were catching heat from the league about disagreeing with calls on the field too much. It’s been clear the last couple of years they are more supportive of the calls made. Quote

People that are attaching the still photos (in this case a former NFL QB) also watched the game live and watched countless video. I have watched countless video of the play. I understand you have thin skin when an official at any level takes on some heat. Well, that's life. It comes with the territory and last night, some heat is more than deserved. Not having thorough replay assessment of the catch/interception immediately folllowing the play was flat out terrible. Quote
Sparty Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Don’t the refs on the field utilize still photos, or slow the video down, to make their final calls? Quote

I agree! The first DPI that wasn't call was really bad, and the second one almost looked almost like a makeup call for missing the first one. It was probably a good flag but closer than the first one. Quote
Bash Riprock Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Comments from a pretty darn good former NFL DB. Forget his photos and take note of his comments. Quote
Sparty Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I’m still waiting for a response about not using still frames, slowed down videos, as we come up with our thoughts. Quote
Irishman Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 Tough to watch the Patriots Texans game. It was fugly. The number of turnovers in the 2 Texans playoff games is crazy; not good football at all. CJ Stroud looked uncomfortable and not confident all game. Quote

Too good of player and person. Hope he can get that fixed. 1 Quote

Bash Riprock Posted January 19 Posted January 19 NE should have the inside track to the Super Bowl with the Nix injury. Rams and Hawks play again. Should be a classic Quote

Sparty Posted January 19 Posted January 19 We all hear about the life of an NFL HC, but I did not expect to see Sean McDermott fired in Buffalo today. Cmon Bills, hire Bill Bellicheck. Quote

Just not sure....but then again, who else is out there? Tomlin?? Quote

PHJIrish Posted January 19 Posted January 19 It looks like Buffalo is more into winning than the Indianapolis Colts! Quote
Bash Riprock Posted January 21 Posted January 21 2 hours ago, Coach Nowlin said: oh my : Oh Bills Agreed....I read Pegula's comments, and wondered what it would be like to be a coach ultimately working for him. I'm guessing they will get a top coach because of Allen, but if Josh wasn't there, I would think twice as a head coach before working for him. 1 Quote
