I have such mixed emotions....I hate this turn into nothing but a P4 + ND tournament....but guessing where its headed.  I just remember upsets such as Boise State over Oklahoma in a major bowl game, I want to believe that potential is always out there.  JMU did put a bunch of points on Oregon in the second half, but guessing their team shut down with such a big lead.

If this does turn into a P4 tournament...there has to be something for G5 schools to play for besides a conference championship.  My guess is that some of the bowl games will remain for conferences such as the MAC, American, Sun Belt, Conference USA, etc.  and for the P4 schools not making the playoffs.  Seniors can then decide if they wish to play or hope they make the NFL.

Not sure what the point is of giving mid majors false hope. The chance of one of them winning the whole thing is 0%. This would have been a much more interesting tournament with Notre Dame and (flip a coin) in it. The mid majors need a tournament of their own. I'd watch it. Football is fun no matter the level when teams are competing in their own weight class. Who wouldn't watch Tulane vs James Madison?

Let’s also be factually accurate.

After Stalions was let go…

Also; the guy has won 69 percent of his games as an NFL head coach.

The cope is real.

The stat wasn’t after Stalions was let go. It was prior and during.

And you omitted the fact that Michigan was 8-0 once he was let go…4 ranked wins, lol.

Jim has won everywhere he has been.  You think he’s had a Stalions at every stop?

(Also, Stalions was on the staff beginning in 2018 but don’t let that get in the way of your adorable story.)

But was the data incorrect PRIOR and DURING the Stalions tenure? Correlation?  People can make their own judgement. You are entitled to call it a coincidence.

Well, not a math major but seeing how Stalions joined the staff in 2018 (10-3)…

2019:  9-4

2020:  2-4

Adds up to 21-11 over those three years which makes Michigan’s record 61-14 with him on the sideline.

Sure you’ll spin this one somehow.

You seem to like numbers (especially surface type numbers without specific context) when they work to paint your narrative…otherwise you’re just another dude on here that speaks emotionally to “stick it to Temp.”

I really do hope you get what you asked for this Christmas.  Sad to see you this obsessed/unhappy when your favorite program is just over a week away from its biggest game in program history.

But knew they lacked context.

Lazy “analysis.”

Not sure why I’m still surprised.

My life’s mission is to continue surprising you!!!

Wonder if the NCAA will ever reduce his 2 bans for a total of 14 years?

Better analysis?

One must wonder though. Does he cheat everywhere he goes?

Yeah, because that is much more likely than him just being one helluva coach.

Cheating everywhere he goes but finally got “caught” nearly two decades into his coaching career.

Moving the goalposts.

Not one individual on here has been able to produce any type of analysis that any competitive advantage was gained by this “operation.”

Wins get vacated?

Hope you get some Kleenex in your stocking.

Many coaches "never get caught." You're naive to think otherwise.

Never said he wasn't a good coach, just trying to be objective here. His record at other programs may show that he's a good coach, but it doesn't show that he didn't cheat. I have nothing against Harbaugh, I've always liked him and loved how he pissed off the SEC by conducting practices in their backyard. That took balls. My view over the past couple of years has changed though. While still a great coach and probably a pretty cool guy to have a beer with, I think guy is shady and so does the rest of America. Is what it is. Get over it just like Notre Dame fans will get over the snub of the century.

Your paragraph got better as it went.

He is not a good coach…he’s a great coach.

Well done.

No question about it, he's good. Call him great if you want. I'll roll with very good for now.

“Great” coaches don’t get kicked out of respective leagues for 14 year spans.

P4 schools have the resources and are, without a doubt, able to field 12 teams better than any P5 school.  Even Paul Finebaum is seeing the light!  Is it the best 12 or is it the contorted system we have now.  Duke was the ACC champion, why didn't the committee stay the course and name them as one of the 12?  The whole thing boils down to Tulane and James Madison had no business being in the CFP!  The games proved that!

So what do you do with schools outside the P4?  Have their own playoffs?  Kind of like high school class football? I could get behind that.
