Donnie Baker Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 Little Rubbers @ Attica North Vermilions @ The Ponies The Tenderloins @ The Woofs Ode Visors @ Seegers A couple of notes from Donnie Baker Week 8 and I’m the only donor from the WRC. Maybe you Parke county fans can sell enough Buckeyes and hedge apples at covered bridge to help pay for your donation since you don’t have someone like my mom Phyllis to help out. If you want to spend half a thread slamming or over-praising a coach start your own thread or I’ll be rippin out some karate arteries and I’ll do it right to your face! ✌️💙 1 Quote
ThePrince Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 Covington @ Attica - Covington gets another win before playing RP next week. NV @ FC - It was nice to see the Mustangs rolling again. I'm hearing that they are healthy now. They are going to be DANGEROUS heading into the sectional. I would not want to draw them round one.. Mustangs have the starters out by half time and we will get to see Herb's touchdown dance many times 😍 Mustangs will win out the rest of their schedule and make a case to win the sectional RP @ PH - Panthers look to continue their winning streak. I think the Wolves could keep it close for a quarter but the Panthers will win this game by 40 plus. SV @ Seeger - I'm taking the underdogs in this one. SV sneaks one out and opens the door for the Mustangs to take second place in the WRC. (I'm rooting for NV to beat Seeger next week as well) Quote
WRC123 Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 Only one game with any "hype" around it. Covington @ Attica - Covington is going to be healthy at the right time this year. They'll have everyone back for sectionals and is a team that has potential to ruin some teams seasons. North Vermillion @ Fountain Central - The Mustangs win big this week. I believe someone stated Herb only beats teams with losing records... That theory continues this week. South Vermillion @ Seeger - Seeger wins big and they might as well start prepping for Southmont in their sectional. Game of the week Riverton Parke @ Parke Heritage - This is the only game on paper that could be a good one.. but I know the Panthers will come out aggressive and rolling. Getting to play your county rival always has the potential to be a good one. RP will show why they are one of the top teams in 1A. I don't see anyone stopping them anytime soon. I'm thinking a straight shot to the oil can. Sectional draw is Sunday and the only thing I'm hopping for this that RP and South Put are on opposite sides. That game would be a classic if it was for the sectional championship. Quote

Lucy Draper Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 Men of Troy vs. Rambler Dan Men of Troy get the win and cement themselves as winners of week 8. Falcons vs. Mustangs Mustangs are peaking as the play-offs approach, just like the hall of famer planned all along. Another masterful job done by Prince Herb this year. Panthers vs. Wolfs Panthers will beat the Wolfs but I think it could be close for a while. RP is primed to be the next conference team to make a run to Lucas Oil stadium. The talent is there, but do the players believe it will happen? I know the coaches believe WIldcats vs. Seeger Seeger big. I could be wrong, but I think it would suck to have a huge sign hanging by your football field that says something like "tradition doesn't rebuild, it reloads", especially since the guy who hung the sign up dipped with an impending rebuild coming up. Richard C Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 Covington @ Attica- Covington is starting to get healthy and I think they can give some of the team in the sectional a run for their money. Attica is getting better they just aren't there. I think this game will be close at the beginning. Covington 35 Attica 12 North Vermillion @ FC- Herb and his crew will handle this one easily. North Vermilion is on the struggle bus. They did hang around for a quarter against PH last week. FC will be playing their JV at the end of the 3rd quarter. FC 54 NV 0 Visors @ Seeger- Ever since the loss to RP Seeger has ran through everyone else. South Vermillion is still young. Seeger will also be playing their JV by the end of the 3rd quarter. Seeger 60 SV 7 #8 Panthers @ #10 Woofs- This is a battle of two top 10 teams in 1A. Still not understanding how the Panthers have remained at 8th and the Woofs are at 10... The only competition the Woofs have played was Seeger.. We all know how that went, not many fireworks that night. This game is getting a lot of hype but I think the Panthers come in and take care of business and win by whatever they want. RP 63 Woofs 12 Quote

KDumbwitty Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 Covington @ Attica- I really want this to be a good game, but it's a tough out for the Ramblers. With 2 wins this season, I believe the Ramblers can get to 3 in the next two weeks vs Covington or SV. Covington brings two of top scoring QB/RB's in the WRC. Both will have a great night and get the Trojans to .500 in the conference. North Vermillion @ FC- FC gets back to .500 with a win over an inferior opponent this week. FC rolls the Falcons in big fashion. 60-6 SV @ Seeger- Seeger has given up 24 points total in the last three games since their game vs RP. This game is a shutout in the making. Seeger rolls at home this week vs SV. 42-0. I believe the Patriots can make some noise in the sectional with the current draw. Its a tough sectional with W. Boone, Southmont and LCC. #8 Panthers @ #10 Woofs- If PH is #10 in the state in 1A based upon the IFCA coaches' poll, we need to take the ability of coaches voting away from them. Based on this, Seeger would be Top 5 in 2A and FC exactly where the preseason Lafayette Courier Journal had them predicted after they play PH next week. If Seeger, who is the second most physical team in the WRC, handled them upfront, RP will do the same. RP takes a top 10 defense into this game giving up less than 7 points a game. (source-- state leaders). I don't know if RP can hold them under 10, but will run away with the game. RP 50- PH 12 CLASS 1A 1. Springs Valley (6) 7-0 93 vs 1A Perry Central (0-7) Friday 2. North Judson (3) 6-1 86 at 1A Caston (2-5) Friday 3. South Putnam (1) 5-2 73 vs 3A Owen Valley (2-5) Friday 4. North Decatur 6-1 64 vs 1A Edinburgh (1-5) Friday 5. Providence 5-2 63 6. BillyBettis Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 I know we rather badmouth good men, talk about drones and moms spaghetti but none of my valid points were answered last week. -can this run heavy offense of RP score points when trailing in a hurry? - Will coach sanders try to run the score up Friday against former big brother Parke Heritage? Does Collin Stone and his staff have to keep the game close vs RP Thursday in junior high in hopes of no retaliation to the Wolves? -are we all the smartest kids on the shortbus? -Very happy for Brad’s hard work showing off, and I do call him a friend. I’m just confused as to what the difference is between this RP team and Barrett’s and Moore’s squads? They were called everything in the book and bashed over dominating a weak conference. What gives to you keyboard warriors? Kevin and I are the only ones with our names on here. -Has there been a legit change in transferring by the IHSAA? I have heard many different scenarios but what’s legit? I don’t wanna search, tell me. Quote

I have heard many different scenarios but what’s legit? I don’t wanna search, tell me. I would be happy to talk drones with you Billiam! Using drones to film high school football games offers an unparalleled viewing experience. I think Moore's PH squads caught flack because people were jealous of the Alpha male dominance energy that he continuously exudes. They couldn't beat him so they took shots at them dominating a weak conference. They was all jelly and you have to admit it. In Barrett's case, it probably came back to jealousy again. Probably a bunch of dudes with male pattern baldness who felt physical pain viewing the way Greg's flowing mane cascades out of that visor. They couldn't replicate his hair, so they took shots at the wildcats dominating a weak conference. Jelly again. Or it could be that there are several folks in the area who hate Rockville and Clinton, and don't mind places like Zoomtown, Rosedale and Mecca. Theories abound!!!! 1 Quote

DoctorShrimpPuertoRico5 Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 This week sucks. No games make me wanna go watch this week. covington at Attica: not too much to say. Covington will win this one pretty handily. I do like coach Dean though. Attica will be back up soon! Covington wins this one 41-13 Fountain Central hosts NV. Just last year we had a one score game between these two teams. Fountain Central should be making some ruckus heading into Sectional. This week should go however they want. Maybe this is the time I bring out the “They can start preparing for basketball season.” FC 48 NV 7. south vermillions heads to Seeger. This game will be over easy. South Vermillion will bounce back and get a win next week against Attica. But this week, the game will be all Seeger. Seeger 56 SV 18 The only Half way exciting game we have but how exciting is it really when Riverton will score 50+. PH is bouncing back this season compared to where I thought they would be. Doesn’t matter, RP will dominate until they meet South Putnam. RP 62 PH 21 Quote
Bear54 Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 (edited) A little insight for our friend Billy... Covington @ Attica - If the Trojans control the line of scrimmage on both sides, like they should, this one shouldn't be close. But if the Ramblers go back to mixing things up and not relying so much on their pass game, they can keep it close. They also have to fly around on defense and cause issues for the Covington O-line. Covington is a paper tiger. I've said that from the beginning. They looked unstoppable at the beginning of the season because of their schedule. In conference play its been a different story. The Ramblers just need to stay the course. They'll be fine. Hopefully, the clock isn't a factor up at Attica. Trojans win. Cov 35 Attica 21 North Vermillion @ Fountain Central - Is this game big enough for the two egos leading these teams? The Falcons have showed signs of life against most teams they play, they just can't stay out of their own way. Their youth is their weakness. If they buy in, they should be better in the future. The Mustangs apparently can't stay healthy. Maybe a better off-season program would have better prepared them for the bumps and bruises of the season. They've been playing catch up since their 0-3 start. If they play anyone more physical than them, they'll fold. The Falcons are not that physical. FC 35 NV 12 South Vermillion @ Seeger - There was nothing coming back this year for the Wildcats, total rebuild. Take that for what it's worth. Add a brand spanking new head coach and you get what SV has been experiencing. Very similar to its northern neighbor. Is there potential? Possibly. The fact they've won a few games shows that. The Partiots on the other hand were primed to get back to their roots and win some ball games. For the most part, they have looked the part. Except once. I look for them to make some noise in their sectional. Patriots dominate. Seeger 40 SV 14 Riverton Parke @ Parke Heritage - Your're either the steamroller or you're the pavement. Anybody who has paid attention to the Panthers this season knows what they bring to the table. To deny that fact is ignorance. To underestimate or downplay that fact is dangerous. And it isn't just the offense, which is pretty good. Their defense is nasty. They are on a mission whether the WRC or the rest of the state is paying attention. The Woolfs have made progress this year too. Coach Rector has done a great job despite coaching at a "basketball" school. Imagine how good they could be if all their athletes would play football? I look for this week to be heated, but never in doubt. RP wins. Edited October 8, 2025 by Bear54 1 Quote

KAllen Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Covington @ Attica - on paper this game belongs to Covington, but I’m going with Coach Dean. Both schools have done admirably in their “rebuilds” this year, but Dean is my guy. Give him another year or two and the administration to take the reins off and Attica will be competing every week 20-16 NV @ FC - Not much to say about this It is what it is. FC over NV 55-0 RP @ PH - I’m torn. My kids go to PH and I wear RP on Friday nights. But since they don’t play football, I’ll take the Panthers in the top 10 battle. 42-14 SV @ Seeger - Seeger is too big, too physical and too experienced. Seeger wins creating a battle for third in the conference next week between #10 PH Wolves and Herb’s Mustangs. Quote
