I don't see how a private equity firm taking a percentage ownership in a public football program is legal. It certainly isn't ethical. LSU would probably spin off a new entity to house the athletic department. As is, athletic departments are supposed to be self suifficient and not rely on taxpayer funds that filter into the school. It would interesting to see exactly what form this new entity would take, and how it would interact with the university regarding things like facilities, athlete housing, etc. Quote
Irishman Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago Unbelievable……I had long thought the NCAA was on a path to ruin itself, but damn, the courts are trying hard to do so with this nonsense. Quote

This topic blows my mind. Can't make an NFL roster as a UFA? Then go BACK to college? Sure, it you're working on and advanced degree or just trying to finish out your Bachelor's. But, to play football again? What a joke. 1 Quote

Rosenhaus represents a receiver for the Browns from Ole Miss. He is still in camp with the Browns, but Rosenhaus is working to see that he would be eligible to go back to Ole Miss. In other news, the players who were granted eligibility like Daly from IU have lost that eligibility. Quote
