Carmel and CG are a long drive as is. It makes sense for Carmel. Center Grove it doesn't. I get that the average HCC team travels better than the average MIC team, but a lot of that has to do with the proximity of the schools. Most HCC schools are centrally located whereas the MIC is represented well throughout all corners of the city. It's an hour drive from Noblesville/Westfield/Zionsville to Center Grove without traffic. At 5pm on a Friday night? Look out.

Coach Bless clearly wants no part of high end 6A football based on his interview with Hoosier High School Football. I like the idea that he is being practical and seeing the enrollment discrepencies for what they are. There is no "just get better " mentality when it comes to enrollment discrepencies at CN. Bless mentioned that he would like to see Conference Indiana expand or merge. There are coaches in the Hoosier Hills that would like to see the league ad the two Bloomington schools. CI has a nice scheduling relationship with the big Indy Catholics and CN will play Roncalli and Cathedral back to back this year. North might be in a sweet spot right where it is. A good 5 game conference schedule, and great flexibiloityt to play high profile games against other elite in state schools like Columbus East, Roncalli and Cathedral. BDGiant93
A few years back, there was talk of a HCC/MIC merger. I believe those talks got fairly hot. Anyone see that type of arrangement where things might get aligned into divisions, etc.
BDGiant93
Another thing to consider... Center Grove Warren Central Lawrence Central North Central All have very new ADs. And only Jim Inskeep (Carmel) and John Clark (Ben Davis) have been in their positions for many many years.
