Ignorance on display.  Glad you don't represent the average WC fan.  I have family that played for Warren.  I have always enjoyed and respected their program and our rivalry.  I occasionally ask our kids who they like and don't like playing against...who talks the most trash...who plays the dirtiest.  I'm pretty sure every time I've asked the response has been about how much they like the Warren kids and team.  The friendships made there have been good for kids on both rosters.  Shame some of the parents can't connect those dots.

Its human nature for rich, well to do folks to look down their noses and make comments about those less fortunate.  

I find it completely plausible and normal for the exchanges supposedly made between Warren people and those from CG and CA.

No offense, but I tend to ignore the hybperbole and overly emotional reactions that are common place in our world today. I'm a Finance guy. Unfortunately, I'm always skeptical until I have data to sway my opinion. 

Considering WC has no fan presence on road trips and averages about 200 people for home games, I seriously question the seriousness of your claims. Sounds more like deep rooted stereotypes that at worst were fulfilled by a few bad apples from CG or Carmel faithful.

He/she may have some specific receipts but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

How many times have you personally been told by a Carmel or CG fan that they weren't fond of playing urban Marion County schools?

i was told to my face by a carmel dad, whom i worked with that they were afraid for their kids to play WC after the state finals basketball game. they told me and my wife how intimidating the black kids were because they were throwing up gang signs,which actually was the "WC hand sign.......and CG, i can give you a actual account a few years back when our Warren twp police got into it with local johnson county cops and sheriff after a fan bus was pulled over and the cop told a warren twp officer that maybe yall should stop coming out here anyway...

also, the year WC beat CG on the goal line stand at WC, i believe 2017/2018, a CG parent got into a altercation with a WC parent after they made a direct comment to a kid after the game that basically stated, half the players would end up dead or in jail...

i cant force you guys to see my reality, as well as make u feel like many on the far east side feel about CG and carmel. these are facts, and experiences ive witnessed since at least 2001....I can remember when carmel had a "ghetto day" for homecoming, and referenced warren and BD and the only reason it got removed or stopped is because a black parent out there caught wind of it and caused a fit. at the end of the day, respect is respect, NO everybody in those fan bases arent like that but to say "it didnt happen" is completely baseless...

So two parents and a Johnson County officer huh?

Over 160k residents combined in the cities of Carmel and Greenwood and you paint the entire communities with a broad brush based on these isolated incidents?

Every fanbase/town has its share of idiots and if these accounts indeed are true, they are unfortunate.

But don’t let the handful of idiots represent and speak for the remainder of folks.

You can’t say “feel about CG and Carmel” and then come back and say “not everybody is like that.”

Got it. 2 personal stories. Painting a VERY large fanbase of Carmel and CG fans based on the actions of 2 bad apples.  Unfortunately, bad apples ruin it for everyone. I'm sure 99% of Carmel's fans have no problem playing WC or BD, but the few bad apples allow the stereotype to continue.

thats why i said not ALL.....some, SOME,,,,,after the shooting at BD vs carmel, most folks believed in this very group that that was what led to carmel wanting out.

Also not telling you how you can and cannot feel.

But my advice would be to base your feelings regarding two school corporations and communities on more substance than these isolated incidents that likely don’t represent the majority of either fanbase.  It seems you are just searching for bulletin board material and attempting to play the disrespect card to motivate yourself.

This also works both ways.  The east/west side communities are often in the news for the wrong reasons.  Would you want folks from the north/south side stereotyping you or the kids at Warren because a handful of folks act like fools?

Not at all.  I call bullshit because I know it when I see it.  I'm friends with the sheriff and the two before him.  I have several people very close to me who work for the sheriff's department.  No such behavior would be tolerated.

ok....they missed a few times, and im friends with the current chief of police for warren twp. as well as former impd and marion county sheriff dept that escorted fan buses. they started this back in 04 due to a prior issue at carmel. where a game had to be replayed on saturday after a weather delay. Good to see things change according to you if they arent tolerated "now"

Being around youth and high school sports for a decent chunk of my life, I have personally witnessed the very best and worst of people from many communities....and that includes yours.  One negative example as recent as last fall during youth football.  I could go into specifics, but what does it gain to talk about it...especially on a public forum.  

I'd rather dwell on the best that I've seen and experienced....great men working with kids, sportsmanship being taught, kids giving their very best, handshakes and hugs between opponents, etc.  Some of the finest people I've been around in my workplace are from far eastside.  That's where I choose to go.

Every community has knuckleheads....and I guess some do stereotype entire communities based on the actions of a few.  And if that's your choice, so be it.  I have absolutely loved the competition between MIC schools at all levels...loved watching my children compete in this conference.  Love knowing my wife graduated that big school in Wayne Township and proudly has her picture on the wall as a state champion....recognize it when she belts out her fight song and still fits nicely in her letter jacket.  Even with CG moving on, I will continue to watch and cheer for MIC athletes.  You obviously feel differently, but I don't see villains and victims.  I just see a ton of great kids and athletes.  

Good luck to Warren this fall.  I think they will have a very strong team.
