Exactly! Very difficult and time-consuming task I'm sure. And I know the southern Indiana area is typically overlooked or not recruited well, sadly. But just speaking on the SIAC players ranked, I see Porter Rode is ranked highly which is nice (having that Indy-area exposure probably helps), but...if Hayden Summers is only the 66th best player in the state, and Harlen Summers the 68th, Quentin Boeke the 90th, and Antonio Harris the 95th...then Indiana has the most loaded talent in the country. I mean, some or all of those mentioned SIAC guys are probably D1-bound. Not a huge deal, it's not easy like we said. Regardless, I appreciate the work they put into it and it gives the kids exposure/recognition, which is what matters most.

I'm partial to the 3A all-state receiver in 2024 (number 10 on the receiver list)....those SIAC guys are "ok" I guess.  🙂

Observations:

Warren Central: Only one player in the Top 100 and he comes in at 97. Is that even possible at the talent rich school?

Mishawaka: QB comes in at 19. Did he even throw the ball 10 times last year? They had no passing game in the game I saw. Maybe this is a different kid all together, and if it is, why wasn't he playing last year? Was he injured?............ Confused. 

Hamilton Southeastern/Carroll: Week 1 rematch between last year's Northern Semi-State. HSE has 5 players in the Top 63. Carroll comes in with only one in the Top 50. Do the Chargers have even a morsal of a chance in this one? Maybe they were just a one year wonder.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but that doesn't mean a whole lot considering eleven players make up the offense and eleven on defense. It's a good start, don't get me wrong, but they better have a heck of a supporting cast if they have any plans of getting to Lucas.

I think HSE wins that game but expect the Chargers to be good again. They return their QB, all of their RBs, a few decent WRs, and some of their top defensive players. Not sure how their OL is shaping up. I doubt they will make another LOS appearance but do expect them to be a legit contender in the playoffs.

Carrall should be solid. I wanna say nine returning starters with two on the offensive line. I don't think they were a one year wonder, I think they are a formidable program with a world of potential.

Yes I realize this. They did lose a decent amount of solid seniors last year on defense but they will return the QB who passed for 25 TDs while only playing about 8 games as a JR and all conference RB as well as 2 WRs and TE while adding Edmonds to an offense that was scoring about 40 points a game last year. In 4A most of the great teams are in the south so I feel like they’ll have the talent to be 1 of if not the favorite in the north.

I've watched lot's of high school football. When you have a quarterback returning with those kinds of numbers, you have a good shot at going deep. My previous comment was based on watching a team with the best lineman and linebacker in the state not even make it out of sectionals a couple years back. It takes 22 talented and motivated players, sometimes 13 or 14 if they are playing both ways, to make it down to Lucas. As long as Northwood's defense is 80% of what it was last year, it looks like they have as good of a shot as any with what they return on offense. Good luck to them.
