The Eagles will be severely tested this week at The Pit against Elder, and the following week against Massillon Washington.

In a sense they will be tested because it is at "The Pit" and travel. I think Elder will struggle to sustain long drives, and St. Ed's will keep ball control. Elder did give up 39 points to Pickerington North and I think the Eagles are a much better team than Pick North. You are correct though heading to "The Pit" is no easy task.

Moeller will be 1-3 against Indiana teams after this week. Losses to Ben Davis and East Central, and a win against F.W. Dwenger. Moeller was highly ranked  coming into the season based on last years results. Springfield is probably the second best team in Ohio Div 1 but won't have much for St. Edwards. St. X might be the top team from the GCL South.

No shame in getting thumped by DeMatha, but Springfield lost to Trotwood-Madison on Friday night. Weird year so far in Ohio Division 1. Outside of the drives in garbage time, the only time I though Moe's offense looked good against East Central was when the Michigan RB had some running room. He's legit. I think he tore East Central apart last year.  Kudos to East Central's streaming crew. Top notch.

1.  BD vs CG is so damn hard to gauge right now because I don’t know the legitimacy of either of CG’s wins due to them being out of state.  Of course, Moeller is BD’s biggest win and I agree that they were overrated to start the season.  Wish we could see these two in the regular season.  We will at least have some common opponents to compare them soon.

I‘m just growing tired of the “Penn is back” narrative.  I fell for it after the Valpo win and was once again basing their preseason ranking on past glory.

I do think that they are an average 6A program that could hold their own in 5A and need to see a legitimate win over an Indy power (hell even a competitive loss) to buy back in.

Agreed on BD vs. CG. It's just conjecture at this point. I didn't think Penn looked 6A great against Valpo. Valpo's front 7 on D couldn't handle the the RPO and Penn burned them for some long runs. After the game I felt that Penn either looked like a dominate 5A team or just an above average 6A Team.

In Ohio, there are 2 organized full contact pre-season scrimmages before the games start. The Eagles scrimmaged Pickerington North and, by most accounts, pushed them around considerably. I think the Eagles are 2 TDs better than the Panthers. But we’ve had some nightmare games in that place.

That is awesome you have schedule set for next 3+ years.  Even more exciting is the series with Cathedral is back starting next year and is at least a 3 or maybe even a 4 year series!

That's what's on the schedule. Not to say it couldn't change.
