Pretty telling there has not been a post yet this season. I have tried watching, but see more of the same from the last few years.

Cool to see the environment at Assembly Hall for the Purdue game. Been a long time since it was that loud. Looks like theteam found something that day.

Guessing/hoping they decline an invite to the NIT. Put this season to bed. The advantage in basketball is you can build a completely new roster in a short time. Michigan is a good example.

They did. But why are they not catching the sort of flack Notre Dame did when they declined the Pop Tarts Bowl invite?

Did you compare a bowl game (vs a T25 team) to the NIT? lol

In the current state of college football, absolutely.

It's the NIT lol

Pop tarts bowl had 9 million viewers, they aren't close. (the 2nd largest viewed bowl game of the year, and it's reasonable to believe ND pushes that number of 10 million, easy)...

Plus they gave up 3 million ish dollars... I would have been pissed had I been a player, don't get to play in a conference championship game AND no bowl game?

Yet, they had no consequential losses in the transfer portal. It’s just possible that, in some places, other things are important, not just money.

It's hard not to appreciate a program school like Notre Dame where the athletes attend with the goal of getting a degree. Regarding the bowl game, I'd argue that most of the players would have felt humiliated showing up to the Pop Tarts Bowl. They felt like they had the best team in the country, and with good reason. I had IU with a 50/50 chance of beating Notre Dame. Were there a few kids who felt they missed out on the experience? I imagine. But I bet over 80% of the team is still smiling knowing they told them to "go pound sand." No regrets as a fan.
